s & b's burger joint

got our burgers to-go and tookbackto work. our burgers were raw on the inside! not rare, but raw!!! stone cold!!! had to zap it in the microwave! the seasonings were ok. the burgers were pretty greasy too. the fries were, of course, flimsy and greasy and serving size was less than you get if you eat inside the restaurant! all in all, we were very disappointed. this is our second time to try this place and we won't be back. the garage is not far away, so we will be going there in the future. their burgers are awesome!! louie's also has great burgers!

s&b's burger joint. trendy, good food and loud.. my wife and i decided to eat at s&b's for the first time on wednesday evening about 5:45. first, parking is a problem as the main lot is gravel and the next lot is one way in and then you probably need tobackout. they need to rethink all of this. the burgers are good, maybe very good. they are juicy and you need lots of napkins. all have catchy names and were interesting to try to figure out what you wanted. it's more of a bar that serves burgers rather than a restaurant that has a bar. lots of beer selection and that seems to be the attraction. the service is pretty good but the food will take about 15 - 20 minutes to arrive. i had one of the burgers and my wife had another variety. we also had the combo fries and sweet potato fries. these were very good. it's a little over priced but i guess you are going for the trendy atmosphere in almost downtown okc. it should do quite well for the younger set but for me it was a little too expensive and too loud. maybe it was just the two obnoxious men sitting at the bar who were very overweight and shouted almost every word.....

this place was amazing. i had the fire burger and el mexicano fries. the burger was amazing, and the fries were great too. more importantly, the service was outstanding. our waiter, frankie, was so fun and helpful. i will definitely be goingbacksoon.

at lunchtime parking can get interesting. their service is slow so that translates into a long lunch. i wasn't expecting qsr speeds but this was pretty slow. in contrast others in the chain are slowing but nothing like this.

now on to the food. thought the burgers good with some interesting combinations and prices to match. burger came cooked as requested. food was the match of other outlets in the chain.

think i would consider one of the other outlets because you can probably get there andbacksooner.

the service from the waiter we ha was very good and the burgers were delicious. theistic is way too loud and the manager came to our table and asked specifically about our shakes. i told him my shake did not taste very good so he explained time what was in a shake. like i don't know. then he offered to take it off the ticket which he knew i had already paid for. he then tried to hurry us out the door. will never bebackand if i ever meet that manager again, we can talk like men outside of his environment. maybe he can afford for some common sense customer service classes or even just some common sense.

great food. horrible hostess. i've never had a more demeaning and rude hostess ever in oklahoma city. everyone is always so nice an friendly... that is until i visited this resturaunt. on multiple occasions she has interrupted me when i had a question and talked down to me. i thought that was the worst until i realized that's her being friendly because on the next visit she just ignored us and put other people in front of us in line. i love the food but i can't keep comingbackif i keep recording service like this.

best waiter ever. the food was great but it was mad even better by brian d "smash" he is such a riot! we will bebackand request his section! he made the experience that much better

wow! what a burger!!. my fiance and i went here for lunch before a civic center show last saturday. this was my first trip to this restaurant chain and i am happy to say it was awesome!! the decor was old record album covers and a picture of a record store along with posters of rock stars all over the place. love the open kitchen so i can see my food being prepared. i had the bleu burger, a bacon wrapped burger stuffed with bleu cheese. need i say more. it was excellent! i also tried their caesar fries. also good but not needed since the burger was rather filling.

the menu had a great variety of burgers to try and they would also build burgers to order. plan to gobackand try each one!

i actually ate here a week or so ago and i must say i was impressed! my father was with me and he's a tough critic on anything but he actually enjoyed these tiny burgers packed with flavor! i had the thunder slider and a bacon and cheese slider can't remember the name but both were delicious. the selection of beer was very impressive as well! i'll bebacksooner than later :)

i've beenbackseveral times recently. three times in four weeks. took relatives and the famn damily, too. i always love the theta slider and thunder fries w/ a beer: great combo!

i also liked the smokin' okie, el mexicano, chicken chili lime taco.

recent beer purchases: westmalle dubble, ayinger celebrator, coop native amber.

i always have great service from both the 9th & 59th street locations.

gone (the burger), but not forgotten. man, me and a friend really enjoyed this place last week. we got off work early for the easter break (maundy thursday) and wanted to have a beer. i knew the beer selection was good here and it was close to work. we had the coop porter draughts. after one round of tasty beers it was burger time, but not pig-out time, because we both had dinners to be at in a couple hours. we split the most delicious theta burger and some sort of french fries with ham and a sauce on the fries. it was great ... so great that i've thought about it every day since the last visit. our waiter, blake, was very cool and helped steer us to this meal that i can't forget. the coop porters aren't forgotten either. can hardly wait to go back!

s&b no shows catered event.... it is unfortunate that i am having to post this, because i am a frequent s&b customer and have always loved s&b burger...

the s&b mobile truck was supposed to cater our event yesterday evening. the event was from 5:30 to 7:30, and we met with them last week to confirm all details. we had multiple email conversations between that meeting last week and yesterday regarding the event (since feb 17th we have had this date and time reserved). at 5:00pm when the truck had not arrived we began trying to get a hold of s&b - took 3 calls to finally get to someone. once we got a hold of them, they stated that their phone did not remind them of the event - they completely forgot us! the host at the may location stated the truck was in norman and we are located in north okc! we had over 100 people coming to our client/prospect networking event. we included free advertising for s&b by mentioning their presence on all 500 invitations that went out last month, and many people were excited to try their food for the first time. even more disappointing is that they made no effort to try to help us rectify our situation at that current moment. they could have called their may location to try to have food delivered, or they could have offered to call any other restaurant to help make sure we had food. instead, we were left to try to find food for our guests that were arriving in 20 minutes. thank goodness for rudy's bbq down the street - they came through for us and our guests in 35 minutes! the operations manager from s&b did call us but the call came at 5:30 and left a message for us to callbackbecause they would like to make the situation right. but how do you make up for not showing up to a catered event at the time the event was supposed to start?
we did call and speak with the operations manager this morning. she stated they messed up on the date and that they needed to comp us in some way but we would need to really speak with the owner. we contacted the owner immediately...we have left 3 messages...so far no return call.

s&b - you disappointed a lot of people last night. i, along with many other frequenters, will never return.

yummmm. the food is wonderful and a fun out of the ordinary place to dine. you should try it. goingbackon friday, cannot wait.

what a great little local spot. the food was excellent and the service was superb. can't wait to comebackand try more of the menu. i highly recomend this place.

great burgers and awesome staff. even while they were slammed they were very attentive. they have a large beer selection and lots of interesting things on the menu. we finished our experience with a slice of pie called the "hot mess". it was served warm, had bourbon and carmel in the filling and was topped with crumbles of crunchy bacon. the salty with the sweet really worked together. can't wait to comebackto try more things from their menu!
