do yourself a favor and try the chocolate smoothie bowl. it will change your life. it's everything you want a smoothie bowl to be in terms of texture and flavor. i usually ask them to add some protein (whey or hemp) when i'm there after gym. i've had a few of there smoothies and salads which are also pretty tasty. i try to avoid going between 12-2 because it gets very packed and it's a pretty smallplacebut if you're willing to brave the rush, that chocolate smoothie bowl will not disappoint!

stunning littleplacethat i stumbled upon in newlands. great ambience, food to die for, friendly staff, and very quaint. plus, it's health oriented so you don't have to worry too much about calorie tracking! five stars, and would definitely recommend.

i'm so happy to have a health foodplacein the southern suburbs. and one that has truth coffee. although they do not have a halaal certificate, the owner / manager informed me that they are halaal.

wanted to try their salads, but they were sold out. had the chicken, pesto & avo wrap which was toasted. it was warm, yummy and flavourful. the wrap was served on a custom "rootbar" board. unfortunately the portion sizes are small. the wheat-free brownie and cuppacino were also really good. there prices are very affordable too.

would be better if they had a bit more variety of food options, bigger portions and had salads available.

late lunch at rootbar today! it's fairly small with dark walls and a few green plants dotted around to lighten it up. we had the large side table all to ourselves! thisplaceis busy but around 3 the lunch rush dies down. my friend opted for the chocolate smoothie bowl and said she loved it but the portion was big and she ended up taking some home. i opted for the thai chicken wrap which i can only describe in one word: yum! so delicious, packed of chicken and vegetables, lightly toasted and such a yummy tangy/spicy sauce, served on a wooden board (nice touch!) ... the wrap alone would be a 5/5 rating. however, the cinnamon smoothie i had was too grainy and thus disappointing. service was great! you order and pay at the till. very casual and relaxed atmosphere. the cashier was very knowledgeable about the ingredients and able to recommend dishes. it's clear that they care a lot about their products and providing good service. one thing i will suggest is to list the ingredients in the wraps as well.

thisplaceis a great little haunt with awesome healthy meals and juices and wifi ;) the service is also really friendly. looking out onto beautiful dean street is not a bad view either.

thisplaceis very cute and i'm sure any healthy food lovers dream. i wish the iced coffee would have had blended ice instead of huge ice blocks but other than that the food and service was decent and the food is actually very affordable for a healthy foodplacewhich usually charges through the roof.

i tried one of their juices this one had carrot and ginger in it and was very tasty. the ginger was prominent but you still got that earthy carrot flavour. i had a bite of their chicken wrap and it was flavourful. give thisplacea try if you looking for a healthy delicious alternative.

rootbar is slowly but surely becoming my go-toplaceto put me in a good mood. from their boosting juices and smoothies, to their healthy snacks and popular, hearty salads, you'll leave there feeling fresh and full. my standard at the moment is grabbing a truth red cappuccino from them with their gluten free rusks or brownie slice on the side which is free from flours, sugars and other bad things. i cannot wait to go back (probably tomorrow).

my friends and i had a wonderful experience here today. this is a greatplaceto get a quick, healthy and delicious smoothie/ juice in the area. i will definitely be back and i can't wait to try some of their meals next time.

thisplaceis brilliant! i was feeling a bit flu-ey so we popped in for a smoothie. i had a ginger shot before my green smoothie and i'm convinced it cured me. the owners are very friendly and we've been back twice.

amazing fresh delicious juices, and really interesting different flavour combinations. did the 3 day detox and feel like a different person. the best part is that these weren't the standard juices you find at other raw juice bars around cape town. the chewy chai nut milk is heavenly and so fulling and loving the zingy ginger shot. what makes thisplaceeven better is the owner bryan who went out of his way to get me my order even though the store was closed for renovations. you don't find customer service like that these days. i'm obsessed and totally addicted

thisplaceis one of my favorite places to be at in the late mornings, especially on weekends for a great healthy smoothie, the best part is i don't even feel bad about it since we get judged for everything we eat these days. can't wait to see the new renovations on monday!🍴

thisplaceis fantastic! it has so many different healthy smoothies and treats, and best of all, they are delicious... the blueberry smoothie is heavenly! just like drinking a cloud. plus they serve truth coffee here!

check out my cool coffee art, impressive. a really small spot but they say dynamite comes in small packages, that's exactly what thisplaceis. thank you for bringing awesome coffee to my doorstep. truth coffee for the win. i also tried their chicken wrap which was lovely and seasoned to perfection. there isn't much space toplaceyour bum, so it more of a grab and go vibe, but i loved the place. i really get amped about places and this is one of them, it's been open for about 3 months now. it's next to the creamery so pop in for a coffee, juice or wrap. i didn't get to try the juices yet, but it looked like they have some epic options on the menu. i think i have found my new watering hole, or at least one of them. we are getting so spoilt in cape town now, with all this love being put into food and coffee. here, i tasted the love...

a greatplaceto go if you're craving something delicious but want to feel healthy at the same time! a really wide selection of smoothies is on offer, meaning you'll be back several times to make sure you try all the different deliciousness! they are often extremely busy (being so popular) so i did have to wait a bit to be helped, but the wait was worth it!
