local is lekker! i often find with healthjuicesthey look like algae on hartebeastport dam and smell like the ass end of a veggie patch... this most certainly not the case with rootbar. its arrival in the area is most timeous and it's location pretty strategic - right next the creamery! i am sure there will be an influx of kale-consuming vegan hipsters there in no time. the uproot juice is my fav - whack a bit of ginger in everything and it will all feel good, including a sore thought! in the short time it has been i have been there a lot and comforting yo know i can get my week's worth of nutrition in one glass and deserve an ice cream afterwards. i have had a taste of a couple of other drinks and they vary from yum to bland, there might need to do some recipe tweaking. it might be a bit pricey... after all most of it is just rabbit food in a blender.

i love being able to select a dairy-free vegan option for any of the smoothies.  the blueberry one is my favourite!

coffee stop at the rootbar. i love their logo which embodies their “earth to table” view point. i really dig the ceiling - a black and white pattern of leaves and apples. it’s so over the top that it works. having touches of green plants here and there breaks up the raw wood and black theme well. a small cozy space with ample plug points so you can do work and get your healthy on.

everything is fresh with the focus being on smoothies,juicesand few things to eat. i had the latte which was prepared perfectly. wonderful creamy microfoam texture and perfect serving temperature. they have it right.

this place is a great little haunt with awesome healthy meals andjuicesand wifi ;) the service is also really friendly. looking out onto beautiful dean street is not a bad view either.

the decor is clean, simple and cosy. the staff are not the friendliest and seemed distracted even though there was only one other table. a good welcome goes a long way.

we just hadjuicesa they were about to close. one of the reasons we haven't be here before is it closes quite early. i had a green juice (parsley, apple, cucumber, lemon) and hubby had a sunshine (pineapple, orange & ginger). they were underwhelming and the ginger was too heavy in the sunshine. i was expecting something unique, but did not discover it.

i tried one of theirjuicesthis one had carrot and ginger in it and was very tasty. the ginger was prominent but you still got that earthy carrot flavour. i had a bite of their chicken wrap and it was flavourful. give this place a try if you looking for a healthy delicious alternative.

it's quite a tough choice choosing between the creamery and the healthier option, rootbar, just opposite. rootbar has a wide selection of smoothies andjuicesto choose from. unlike a lot of other places which add crushed ice to their smoothies, rootbar doesn't seem to do that - so you get better value for your money. i had the sweetheart smoothie, which was thick and tasty. will be back to try out their juices.

rootbar is slowly but surely becoming my go-to place to put me in a good mood. from their boostingjuicesand smoothies, to their healthy snacks and popular, hearty salads, you'll leave there feeling fresh and full. my standard at the moment is grabbing a truth red cappuccino from them with their gluten free rusks or brownie slice on the side which is free from flours, sugars and other bad things. i cannot wait to go back (probably tomorrow).

rootbarjuicesand smoothies are so refreshing especially on a warm day. they are quite pricey but still worth a try! i would really like to go back to try one of their salads or wraps. they look so fresh and delicious. i ordered the paradise and my friend had ordered the sunshine. my friend really enjoyed her juice. it took me some time to become acquainted to the flavours of mine, but i still enjoyed it.

it was a monday, my body needed some good vitamins and nutrients to give it a boost after a weekend with little sleep and unhealthy food choices🙈. so on my way back i decided to check out rootbar for a fresh juice. it is perfectly situated on the road side.

they have quite bit of options for smoothies andjuicesas well as shots (the healthy kind😜) i decided on the "sunshine" juice as it sounded like exactly what i needed. it was delicious although at first the ginger was a bit overpowering but after a few sips, it didn't bother me. (maybe ask people how much of ginger they would like as i've seen at other places)

they also have truth coffee which i didn't know, so i will definitely be picking up my caffeine fix on the way to campus.

the salads looked super fresh and delicious and although salads are not my favourite, i really want to go back to try theirs, thats how good it looks.

service was quick and everyone was very friendly and maybe i went there on a good day but everyone who worked there seemed very happy which is refreshing to see and creates a lovely atmosphere.

i love this place! if you're looking for something healthy and nutritious, this is where you should come! they have fantasticjuicesand lots of yummy treats without the guilt!

everything we have tried at rootbar has been tasty (and healthy). theirjuicesare great, my favorite so far is the green juice - nice mix of green fruit and veg. their chia party is a tasty and filling breakfast option. chia, berries, granola, nuts and cashew milk make for a delicious bowl of goodness. they serve up a great flat white and americano (using truth coffee) and their gluten free brownies are the perfect afternoon treat. they also have friendly staff and a great space. give them a visit for sure!

always so lovely at the rootbar! such delicious smoothies andjuicesand health treats. two of my favourites are the cafe energizer (like a healthy iced coffee) and the blueberry smoothie. staff are keen to help you with menu choices and are very friendly. their new store looks awesome -still wish that there was more seating though. looking forward to their salad bar which is due to open soon!

amazing fresh delicious juices, and really interesting different flavour combinations. did the 3 day detox and feel like a different person. the best part is that these weren't the standardjuicesyou find at other raw juice bars around cape town. the chewy chai nut milk is heavenly and so fulling and loving the zingy ginger shot. what makes this place even better is the owner bryan who went out of his way to get me my order even though the store was closed for renovations. you don't find customer service like that these days. i'm obsessed and totally addicted

check out my cool coffee art, impressive. a really small spot but they say dynamite comes in small packages, that's exactly what this place is. thank you for bringing awesome coffee to my doorstep. truth coffee for the win. i also tried their chicken wrap which was lovely and seasoned to perfection. there isn't much space to place your bum, so it more of a grab and go vibe, but i loved the place. i really get amped about places and this is one of them, it's been open for about 3 months now. it's next to the creamery so pop in for a coffee, juice or wrap. i didn't get to try thejuicesyet, but it looked like they have some epic options on the menu. i think i have found my new watering hole, or at least one of them. we are getting so spoilt in cape town now, with all this love being put into food and coffee. here, i tasted the love...
