ronin steak house & sushi

deplorable service. bad sushi. overpriced. wait staff admitted to lack of training. didn't know menu at all and failed to serve all components ordered. sushi was tasteless and rice had the consistency of pudding. plating was pleasing but the experience was lacking andhibachichefs are entertaining. good place for socializing and watching the show but don't eat and avoid the bar. at least 8 feet of it was covered with used drinkware.

entertaining service. we had a great experience at ronin. our chef, peter, did a great job and was entertaining as well! the sauces are savory and the food was great and plentiful... all at a decent price for ahibachirestaurant.

the best place to eat in the monroe area hands down with the war tasting cuts of steak. great entertainment at thehibachigrill. very beautiful waitresses and hostess

a little pricey, but good food. i've only eaten the sushi when dining here so i don't have any knowledge of thehibachiside. the sushi menu is neither limited or expansive, just an average selection. every roll that i've tried from here has been good, although they're usually between $9-13 each. also the gyoza apetizer and some kind of fried cannoli type dessert are really good. the service has always been good and the atmosphere is kind of upscale, but relaxed at the same time.

awesome !!!. ronin was by far the best place i have eaten in a really long time . they had the freshest sushi which is more than i can say for just about all of the other sushi restaurants around the monroe/west monroe area . the food from thehibachiand sushi was excellent and the service was wonderful . we were seated promptly greeted nicely and visited by the manager to make sure our meal was great (and it was) i really enjoyed myself at ronin japanesehibachisteak & sushi and would definitely recommend anyone to go there and try it for themselves !

compare to the many japanese place i have the pleassure of eating at this place is rank way below average. the ingredients are not very fresh (which is the most important requirement of any sushi restaurant) and thehibachiwas greasy and salty..

omg the best sushi the only bad thing is it is so good there is a wait but once u get a table the service is great and i did not know it but u can get a shared portion of the food that comes from thehibachifor $5 extra instead of getting two full meals

wonderful. the biggest downfall of having a restaurant that is this good is that the waits are terrible. once you get a seat the food is top notch.

thehibachicooks know how to put on a show, make jokes, and of course cook. some of the best fried rice i have had. their chicken is not the best but the steak and shrimp is great.

as far as sushi, it is the best in monroe. the rolls are massive. i can never finish 2 rolls. you wont be ordering expensive rolls and then still be hungry afterwards. the rolls have great flavor. i have yet to have one that i did not like.

the bar is also superb. many great drinks to choose from. if you are looking for sake, beer, wine or a cocktail. the staff is very friendly and the waiters are generally quick and courteous.

going on weeknights will be beneficial as the weekends are always packed. a second location has now opened in ruston, la and it is just as good.

9/10. treat yourself.

not worth it.. not one of the better sushi restaurants in town. for the money spent the food was really sub par. did not like thehibachiat all. the service was okay on the floor but being an ex server myself i am hard to impress but it is a mistake to sit at the bar that was like no service. i always give restaurants more than one chance but i have not been impressed so far. i put the restaurant in line with hooters, they get business on what they are not the quality of what they provide.

not the best. i have been there several times and was not impressed at all. i have had a lot better sushi from the other 4 sushi places locally and they were better hands down and thehibachithat i received was not good at all. maybe i have always gone on days that were bad for them but i don't know. they are definitely not my 1st, 2nd or even 3rd pick for a place to go eat sushi. prices are not worth the quality of food that they present. the place does look nice but i go to eat not to look.

love ronin!. this place is by far the best sushi restaurant in town. everything comes out beautifully presented and in a quicker amount of time than other sushi restaurants. it's "cool" and a hip atmosphere. thehibachiis delicious and entertaining. i highly recommend it!

best sushi in monroe. my husband and i have eaten many times at ronin. the decor is beautiful. the sushi is terrific. the service is very good. we've tried most of the sushi on the menu and have not had one we didn't like. people line up for thehibachiso i guess it is good, though we've not eaten it. i would highly recommend ronin.
