i ordered the eggs benny which was over priced for the small portion. the eggs were so undercooked there was runny egg white on my plate and the spinach tasted like it'd been frozen and the single burger bun was so soggy i started gagging. i left very hungry

riverbar kitchen, on the promenade level of riparian plaza in eagle st pier precinct, giving you views of the story bridge, what a view.. i have always enjoyed waterfront views when it comes to dining and living, especially when the weather is nice and the sun isn't scorching on you like a laser beam. owned by celebrity chef and restaurateur matt moran, you wouldn't doubt the food nor the interior and ambience.. well, sometimes you would but i guess it depends on first impressions and location..

we have been a frequent breakfast eater at riverbar and both of us have enjoyed the avacado, fetta and dukkah on rye with coffee. we ate there yesterday morning and coffee was great like normal but disappointed in serving size for the meal which seemed to have been significantly eroded. less avo and certainly less cheese and the rye was just a loaf bread rather than the traditional thick slice. worth a go but hopefully not a sign of things to come. cj.

great!! avo on rye was delicious and they replaced my coffee at no charge even though it was my fault i knocked it over. definitely coming back next time i'm in town!

we recently stumbled upon matt moran’s riverbar and kitchen whilst doing a self guided restaurant/bar crawl of the eagle street precinct in brisbane and we were absolutely blown away! we stopped at riverbar & kitchen to enjoy some lunch and upon finding this venue we immediately felt like we had been whisked away to an exotic location like seminyak in bali (one of our favourite locations and a very glamorous part of bali!). riverbar & kitchen is complete with outdoor mist cooling systems to cool you down on a hot summers day whilst sitting outside enjoying the view of the glorious story bridge.

great view. i was really excited to try the food here, but it was very disappointing, overpriced and lacking in flavour or flare. but! the service was excellent and friendly, view and decor - amazing! will definitely be back for drinks 

don't believe what you read..... after reading some pretty bad reviews we still decided to give this place a try this morning for brekky. well, the service was very good. very friendly and helpful., we didn't have to wait long either. food was delicious too. we will definitely be back..... this place is definitely worth a go.

popped in this afternoon for a meal and drinks for a friends birthday, fresh, welcoming atmosphere, vibrant staff and reasonable prices. i ordered the woodfored pork belly which was absolutely delicious, meat was falling apart and the celeriac purée was the perfect accompaniment. will definately be returning again and again.

great location great food great service. i stopped in for a late brekky on my way home after being enticed by the outdoor settings with bright yellow and white umbrellas, the cool river breeze and excellent view of the brisbane river. the tasty and healthy breakfast i ordered, coffee and friendy and quick service just topped off a great dining experience. i will definitely be back!

terrible service. the staff at this bar are absolutely awful! my fiancé and i wanted a drink on boxing day only to be treated like second class citizens by people that pour beers for a living. definitely not one to normally write reviews like this but this is the second time this has happened, think my fiancé is targeted because of his tattoos.
riverbar you have totally put us off the city, well done. to the story bridge hotel we go!

unhappy. my food was terrible and the service was rude and unfriendly. this is my second bad experience at this restaurant. i find the request to take your licence and credit card if you start a bar tab for the entire time you are dining demeaning. im not a criminal and i don't expect to be treated like one when i dine!!

i came for breakfast...gave it another chance but it's horrible! everything is premade. what restaurant don't make scrambled eggs? the ice malt tasted like plain milk and totally overpriced. never again

nice atmosphere and view but the food is very very average and really expensive for what it is. left really unsatisfied. their $7 homemade cordial spritzers were frankly like dishwater.

our choices from the short and succinct breakfast menu were the quesadillas; with mushroom, rosemary and fontina, and the pancakes with poached pears, candied pecans, mascarpone and maple syrup. both dishes looked a little on the overly toasted side, but fortunately the flavours didn’t suffer.

super quick service. we went here on a saturday night and it was packed so we thought we had better order quickly. we got the lamb quesadilla and wedges and they came out within about 15 minutes. the food isn't anything great - just snack food to share mostly. so really quick given how busy they were. good wine list. espresso martinis are good but served in a really small glass!
