i don't get what all the bad hype is about riverbar and kitchen. i really liked it there! sure it was busy and the service is on the slow side but thelocationis a grade and the food is inexpensive but fairly well done. i would definitely go back for more drinks and nibbles, provided i can nab a table.

amazinglocationwith lots of options for breakfast. nothing can be as good as having your breakfast just the riverside. and latte was exactly the way i like.

you most definitely pay forlocationhere.

good for big groups and easy to book. however price to food quality ratio is off.

$30 fish and chips that have nothing special about them. chips alone $9 or so so you're paying $20 for overcooked fish.

too many flavours going on in the ceviche entree. couldn't even taste what little fish was served.

11am on a saturdary and riverbar was really busy with both large and small parties eating breakfast - it was by far the busiest eatery in what is a greatlocationoverlooking the river. it has a very casual feel and good atmosphere (we walked past in the evening and it was also busy then - so obviously quite popular) we loved the boat shed decor. eggs benedict, a full breakfast, tea, coffee and juice was great value at $57 and the portion sizes were generous. the only fault for me was that the poached eggs on the benedict were set rather than soft but we'd certainly recommend it for breakfast.

our group were left a little underwhelmed after oir dinner here on a saturday night.
points forlocationand wait for our meals. however mains were on the steep side. i thought my steak sandwich was on okay. a friend had the tuna which she was very disappointed with considering it was almost $40.

came here with a $50 gift voucher and were disappointed. calamari was below average we didn’t even finish it, not worth $19. greatlocationand cocktail was good but we didn’t bother wasting more money here, overpriced for low quality food.

thelocationis awesome and i’ve often walked past here and not been able to find a table. went here for drinks twice and was perfect for sunset cocktails. the fried calamari was quite expensive and a bit soggy and not very nice. i wouldn’t order food again but definitely nice for drinks if you can get a table.

dropped in here while waiting to go on a river cruise. coffee was average and the brunch cocktails were okay. didn't try the food but thelocationon the brisbane river is pleasant and relaxing.

what to do between breakfast at gerard's bistro and lunch at sake? drinks and people watching at riverbar was lady meatball and friendly meatball''s vote.

who am i to stand between them and a pitcher of tasty white sangria?

i was initially taken aback by the $35 price tag, but this yielded four glasses and was delightful and refreshing. comprised of absolut vodka, elderflower liqueur, white wine, citrus, mint and strawberries, this was very nice.

greatlocationand we will certainly return for drinks, but the menu didn't have anything that really grabbed my attention (prices are a bit steep as well).

had mixed thoughts about this place prior to actually trying it due to reviews but then thought i'll just wing it, so off we went.
pleasantly surprised, fantasiclocationright on the river and even better that the conditions were overcast and not disgustingly hot.

loved the decor and view, so very relaxed.
service was exceptionally quick for both coffee and brekky and the staff very polite. coffee was good, strongish, but felt it was a tad to milky for my liking.
the brekky was great size and tasted excellent, only let down was bacon was a little dry and chewy but other then that great.

i didn't want to write this review, i wanted to like this place. the service here the first time i went after work was great and it was the perfect spot to have an after work wine. however the second time we stayed a little longer and when hubby joined in he grabbed a chicken burger. sadly it was on the borderline of being uncooked so he wass little put off and left it. i spoke to the staff and they were great. offered a redo but we declined as it kind of ruined our appetite. they then offered us a free drink but we had to head home given it was midweek.however given how friendly they were we went back. the next time no food just drinks and no dramas. i'm scouting function venues for a birthday next year and i love thelocationhere so i really tried to like it. i booked tickets for hubby, myself and 4 friends to come here for riverfire. sadly the service, food and drinks weren't so great. it was under catered, lines to the bar long and drink options very limited. as we were towards the back of the venue the food was gone before it could get to us. i mentioned to a few waiters through the afternoon that we hadn't gotten anything with no help. in the end we had to go to the waiters and fight through people to get one or two canapés. i tried two food options and while both were tasty i left hungry and disappointed. sadly i won't be trying again.

greatlocationand atmosphere. we had pizza, fried chicken and meatballs. the meatballs weren't cooked all the way through, but apart from that it was great. also very good cocktails!

riverbar is my go to spot for a drink on a summer afternoon. it really is hard to find a better spot in brisbane to have a drink in the sun with a river view. unfortunately everyone in brisbane seems to have the same idea and it gets incredibly crowded in the afternoons and evenings. the food and drink is quite expensive for what you get, however the prices reflect thelocationand popularity. decent burgers, pizza and bar food. i recommend the sweet potato chips (though you never get enough sour cream!). coffee from single origin roasters is decent but don't expect latte art, they're usually pushing them out too quickly to worry about it!

you'll be hard places to find a betterlocationfor an al fresco lunch in brisbane. right on the river and with a view towards the storey bridge there is no better spot to have a beer, great food and a chat with family and friends. the menu is large enough to ensure you get variety, we had the moreton bay big salad and the steak sandwich. both were perfectly sized, seasoned and delivered to the table in a good amount of time.
