pretty good.greatatmosphere and location. bar service only. food is generally good and i've never had a bad meal. squid is always cooked perfectly, chips are great, pizzas are a bit small for the price. cocktail jugs are good value but beers/wine can be overpriced. overall it's a good addition to cbd bar/dining.

such agreatlocation. the view and atmosphere is incredible and the food is fresh and delicious. the staff aregreatand really happy to help which is refreshing. you can either sit inside, outside in the sun or outside under an umbrella. couldn't fault my experience.

stunning decor. amazing ambiance. squid is yummy but needs dipping sauce. popcorn prawn - yummy too. crab slider - amazing!! prawn & chorizo salad - not sogreat- way too much iceberg lettuce.. pretty much the entire dish, little bit of avo and very thinly sliced chorizo but the prawns are lovely. overall it's awesome - its not trying to be the best restaurant in brisbane - it's a reallygreatplace by the river for good drinks and food!

my experince the 2 times i've been has involvedgreatcustomer service but very much average food.
would definitely not recommend the "pizza" it's not worth the cost and doesn't resemble one at all.
the salads have a large portion size but are oily.
also sampled the chilli salt squid. as a bar snack/entree it was generously piled high with squid. however the dish was lacking any greens to break up the monotony of the flavour.

would recommend this place as agreatdrinking alternative to the other bars in the city -greatview, relaxed vibe and the pimms cocktail goes down easy. beware the packed post work drinks if you're expecting to get a table to sit and conversation to be heard easy - place is loud, packed and fun - just the way post work drinks should be!

located on the beautiful and picturesque riverside in brisbane, riverbank & kitchen on a perfect 28 degree weather day with the cool breeze coming from the river made for agreatafternoon.

a few cocktails later like the aperitifs #3 $18.0, garden gimlet $19 & lychee mojito $18 accompanied with a soft shell crab burger, kewpie mayo, fennel & gherkins $21.0 made for agreatcool down session and feast. had some other cocktails too but really just track of what and how many we had.

parking is available in a number of places near by in secured car parks like wilsons but make sure you either hit up early bird or in the evening as during the day, you could be up for a hefty fee like $72.0 if you're there for a few hours! geez.

decor is set up up well with a beach feel to it. accompanied with the qld weather, food and cocktails it was almost as if we were sitting in a boat bar / beach club in barcelona.

staff here were delightful and very welcoming which made for agreatexperience. always with a smile.

the crowd varied here from retirees through to young professionals which all looked like they just finished a ralph lauren shoot.

riverbar & kitchen will definitely be a place i'll come back to visit whenever we're in brisbane and seeming as i'm here for another few days, i think we'll visit it again for the duration. maybe i'll stop to take a photo next time too. till next time, this is our foodie find today.

terrible and a bit embarrassing, had friends from dubai had heard bad things but thought with its spot it must be better, it was worse, average food, huge bill, then being told they were closing early to clean the kitchen, no last drinks, then being stood next too and rushed to finish out drinks, kind of hope it doesn't last so a good place can utilise agreatspot, never knew you could screw up a margarita pizza till now also

think beach/boat house style (but riverside), bright yellow umbrellas, picnic benches, bar stools, agreatview + fresh air

11am on a saturdary and riverbar was really busy with both large and small parties eating breakfast - it was by far the busiest eatery in what is agreatlocation overlooking the river. it has a very casual feel and good atmosphere (we walked past in the evening and it was also busy then - so obviously quite popular) we loved the boat shed decor. eggs benedict, a full breakfast, tea, coffee and juice wasgreatvalue at $57 and the portion sizes were generous. the only fault for me was that the poached eggs on the benedict were set rather than soft but we'd certainly recommend it for breakfast.

visited river bar and kitchen last night on australia day and ordered the salmon w saffron, fennel, red pepper and dill. the salmon was super tasty and cooked perfectly, the salmon also had crispy skin which i always enjoy.
service was reasonably quick considering how busy the place was and it’s also agreatlocation, with brisbane river and story bridge views.
a very enjoyable meal!

came here with a $50 gift voucher and were disappointed. calamari was below average we didn’t even finish it, not worth $19.greatlocation and cocktail was good but we didn’t bother wasting more money here, overpriced for low quality food.

went here for breakfast with my wife, ordered their version of the big breakfast with the eggs poached and hollandaise and mushrooms on the side and a pot of tea, my wife ordered the same big breakfast with eggs fried over easy and an iced chocolate. the poached eggs were cold, i can only imagine they'd been blanched and then not reheated enough, greatconsistency and perfectly "cooked" but stone cold. the bacon was also luke warm at best, and appeared to have been pre cooked and kept under a heat lamp or maybe in a warm oven, as it clearly wasn't cooked fresh, and was quite tough, the homemade hash brown was very nice, and piping hot, the sausage was ok, not particularly good, and the mushrooms were fine, but the "hollandaise" was literally whipped butter, it had no other taste to it whatsoever, with a consistency of phlegm and was quite revolting. i politely mentioned this to the waitress who informed me that she could give me a refund for it, as even if the chefs were made aware, the next sauce would come out exactly the same, because, that is their hollandaise sauce, or lack there of.  the iced chocolate was literally a chocolate milk with ice added to it, and got a 0 star rating from my wife, all in all for over 60 dollars was an utter disappointment, and will never be going back or recommending it to anybody for breakfast. i won't be trying dinner, as i can only assume if you can mess up breakfast this badly, they haven't a prayer for dinner.

most expensive breakfast place ive ever been to and it's a real shame because it's in such agreatlocation. it's seriously a joke to pay 60 bucks for two people for breakfast and then you can't have scrambled eggs instead of poached or fried not even for a child who won't eat anything but that.greatcustomer service guys. i guess it's too hard to scramble eggs but quick to take our 60 bucks. won't be getting my business again.
