i just love going to rick's in the morning and meeting my crew. we eat breakfast and share conversation. i love the rick's special. always cooked to my liking. staff very friendly andserviceis fast.

great local joint! greatserviceand good food. decent offerings but wish they had waffles. came out all the way from chesapeake to try. will be back!

fantastic ribs, greatservicefrom the waitstaff, and wonderful breakfast items. we eat here at least once a week. truly a local's favorite located close to the oceanfront and worth the short drive for our tourist friends. trust me, you won't regret the trip!

lovely local food!. i love rick's cafe! the food was hot, delicious, and theservicewas awesome. the owner personally came out to tell us about his specials, the brisket for sunday that would be cooking for 10= hours, and asked if we needed anything. his wife works there also, and it is a nice calm place for me to bring my son. 10/10 this place is a must find! right off of va beach blvd and close to first colonial!

it was nice to find a louisiana restraunt that didnt flaunt cajun all over the place. the facility is very modest with great food. fried okra was great! just like home.servicewas pretty good although it could have been slightly faster. breakfast sides are huge and delicious. 1st cup of coffee was a bitter but next cup was good. overall 9/10.

we love it!. been there several times for breakfast with my husband. he loves the pancakes and my favorite is the eggs benedict when they are on the chef's special. don't miss the fried flounder or fried shrimp at dinner. never had a bad meal.serviceis great too! they define teamwork here! recently met rick and he's personable and humble giving much credit to his wife and staff. don't miss this place, it's a favorite!

it's a diner.. rick has everything you would expect from a diner: a nice selection of breakfast plates, some decent sandwiches, amusingly brusqueserviceand an affordable bill at the end of it all.
