great place. lived in va beach for 5 years, just found thisplaceabout a month ago. been there twice, each time was great. best reuben sandwich you will find anywhere!

service is up and down here, but the food is outstanding. i can't eat enough of their biscuits and the omelets are ridiculously good. this is a staple in the area. when hanging out at the beach late night and you need to fill up, it's a no-brainer on where to go. guess it doesn't really matter what time it is, rick's is theplaceto be if you're hungry. i've been going here for close to 10 years and i won't stop.

excellence.... the food is excellent...reminds us of flavorful home cooked meals! they have the best chicken wings we have ever had!!! the waitresses are polite and friendly! today is my husband's birthday and we just said how we're glad we found aplacewe enjoy and here comes the owners rick and donna; they are such personable and genuine people. we appreciate them taking time to meet us. in the words of arnold schwarzenegger "we'll be back!

i came into this restaurant with a couple of friends since we were all pretty hungry and thought that ricks would be a niceplaceto eat. i have a special condition called celiacs disease of which prevents me from being able to eat gluten i.e. (bread). upon my request during our tables order, my server was extremely rude and cut me off without completing my sentence, refusing a gluten free meal. i explained my allergy and concern, yet she was still very rude and refused. worstplaceto eat or dine ever. my friends stated that their food was low quality too if i might add.

rick's cafe | best breakfast in virginia beach. rick's cafe is on my "secret gems" list of restaurants. i travel throughout the us and rarely do i find aplaceas notable as rick's. highly recommend.

rick's is so good that i wrote a 800+ word review on hubpages.

every trip to va beach will include a stop at rick's!!!

this was my firstplaceof employment...... hahahaha!!!! i love this hole in the wall! its a greatplacefor a reasonably priced breakfast or a late night snack. it was also where i had my first job as a dishwasher at 12 years old. then, it was a waffles n' things.... but it still feels like the same old joint when i go in there...... if you are ever in the mood for bacon, eggs and waffles and you want to eat them in your sweat pants..... this is the place.

thisplaceis awesome!! my favorites are the flounder dinner, louisana fried shrimp and anything breakfast. the staff, from owner to dishwasher, is first class.

lovely local food!. i love rick's cafe! the food was hot, delicious, and the service was awesome. the owner personally came out to tell us about his specials, the brisket for sunday that would be cooking for 10= hours, and asked if we needed anything. his wife works there also, and it is a nice calmplacefor me to bring my son. 10/10 thisplaceis a must find! right off of va beach blvd and close to first colonial!
