all-american, all the time!!!. rick & donna really know how to run a great all-american restaurant!! my husband and i luv theirbreakfastmenu, and you can get it 24 hours-a-day/ 7 days-a-week!! although it is my favorite thing to eatbreakfasthere, i also like their numerous dinner and lunch menu items. rick's bbq will put you in "hog heaven". the ny strip sirloin, when they feature it, is always cooked perfectly medium for me, deliciously seared on the outside with savory seasonings, but still pink and gentle on the inside. their cheeseburgers have generous sized patties that are juicy, tender and stacked with all of the toppings. the club sandwich is also awesome and comes on your choice of bread. if they have any homemade cakes, pies or cheesecakes on that day's special menu board, we would highly recommend you to try them too. by the way, tea, sodas, and regular coffee are free flowing; their friendly, attentive staff will never let your glass run dry.

this was my first place of employment...... hahahaha!!!! i love this hole in the wall! its a great place for a reasonably pricedbreakfastor a late night snack. it was also where i had my first job as a dishwasher at 12 years old. then, it was a waffles n' things.... but it still feels like the same old joint when i go in there...... if you are ever in the mood for bacon, eggs and waffles and you want to eat them in your sweat pants..... this is the place.

fantastic ribs, great service from the waitstaff, and wonderfulbreakfastitems. we eat here at least once a week. truly a local's favorite located close to the oceanfront and worth the short drive for our tourist friends. trust me, you won't regret the trip!

it was nice to find a louisiana restraunt that didnt flaunt cajun all over the place. the facility is very modest with great food. fried okra was great! just like home. service was pretty good although it could have been slightly faster.breakfastsides are huge and delicious. 1st cup of coffee was a bitter but next cup was good. overall 9/10.

always a good experience.. i started going to rick's about 10 years ago when someone recommended it for lunch. i cannot tell you how delicious that homemade chicken salad club sandwich is (as long as you're ok with nuts and raisins in it). since then, i have had just about everything on the menu without any complaints - although the barbecue and ribs are some of the best and the eggs benedict keeps me coming back. the coffee is great and nobreakfastis complete without good coffee. i cannot say enough good things about the service... those girls are a well oiled machine. it's a cozy atmosphere and the prices are very reasonable.

good food!. reasonably priced although i don't agree w/ the beverage price!

breakfast/lunch. my wife and i both think that rick'sbreakfastis, without a doubt, the best in the city of virginia beach. we have been eating there since he opened many years ago. in addition, his soups and sandwiches are excellent. i particularly love his bar-b-q.

we love it!. been there several times forbreakfastwith my husband. he loves the pancakes and my favorite is the eggs benedict when they are on the chef's special. don't miss the fried flounder or fried shrimp at dinner. never had a bad meal. service is great too! they define teamwork here! recently met rick and he's personable and humble giving much credit to his wife and staff. don't miss this place, it's a favorite!

it's a diner.. rick has everything you would expect from a diner: a nice selection ofbreakfastplates, some decent sandwiches, amusingly brusque service and an affordable bill at the end of it all.
