rick's rocks!. awesomefoodand prices. owner/chef is cajun from my friends part of the country and some of the daily specials are cajun foods. i can order small portions if i want and special orders. awesome. local paradise. it's isnt swank but you cant eat that! good location. *****

home away from home. my son has been recommending that my husband and i try out rick's café for quite a while. we finally did, and i am glad. the restaurant is a little hole in the wall which is what i look for when i want goodfoodand a relaxed atmosphere. the waitresses were very quick & attentive, and they all had great personalities. the restaurant has a size and set up that makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. thefood- it was scrumptious, but what was even better was that home-cooked taste. when you put everything together, well let's just put it this way. when it comes to eating, i found home away from home. keep it up!

service is up and down here, but thefoodis outstanding. i can't eat enough of their biscuits and the omelets are ridiculously good. this is a staple in the area. when hanging out at the beach late night and you need to fill up, it's a no-brainer on where to go. guess it doesn't really matter what time it is, rick's is the place to be if you're hungry. i've been going here for close to 10 years and i won't stop.

a great no frills local diner. goodfoodand huge portions, fast service. ive never had a bad meal here. open 24 hours. i always recommend ricks to tourists as a great breakfast place.

excellence.... thefoodis excellent...reminds us of flavorful home cooked meals! they have the best chicken wings we have ever had!!! the waitresses are polite and friendly! today is my husband's birthday and we just said how we're glad we found a place we enjoy and here comes the owners rick and donna; they are such personable and genuine people. we appreciate them taking time to meet us. in the words of arnold schwarzenegger "we'll be back!

i came into this restaurant with a couple of friends since we were all pretty hungry and thought that ricks would be a nice place to eat. i have a special condition called celiacs disease of which prevents me from being able to eat gluten i.e. (bread). upon my request during our tables order, my server was extremely rude and cut me off without completing my sentence, refusing a gluten free meal. i explained my allergy and concern, yet she was still very rude and refused. worst place to eat or dine ever. my friends stated that theirfoodwas low quality too if i might add.

we tried rick's cafe for the first time this past weekend. i could not think of the words to describe how much i loved everything about that place. i'm in love with mom & pop type places. thefoodjust tasted like it was made with love (sounds cheesy, but that's the only way i could describe it) it tasted like something that would come out of the kitchen at my grandmas house. you can't get that from an ihop. it was so delicious that i was craving soon again after myfoodsettled lol. i can't wait to go back!

great place!!. i cant find enough words to say how much i love this place!! i have never had a complaint in all the years i've been coming here, thefoodis phenominal and the staff is amazing!! the "little hole in the wall" gives it that perfect mom and pop cozy at home feeling, and then when yourfoodis served.... there arent words to describe how yummy everything always is!! i will continue to come here for as long as its here!! which i am sure is going to continue to be a long long time!! :)

honestly one of the best places to find home cookedfoodin hampton roads. everything on the menus is good, i've never placed an order that i regretted or an employee i didn't like.

lovely local food!. i love rick's cafe! thefoodwas hot, delicious, and the service was awesome. the owner personally came out to tell us about his specials, the brisket for sunday that would be cooking for 10= hours, and asked if we needed anything. his wife works there also, and it is a nice calm place for me to bring my son. 10/10 this place is a must find! right off of va beach blvd and close to first colonial!

a great find. thefoodwas very good and extremely reasonable. the atmosphere is definitely lacking but it is a very clean, though outdated, casual spot. all of thefoodwas made to order and the fried flounder was huge and hush puppies were perfect!

good food!. reasonably priced although i don't agree w/ the beverage price!
other than that greatfoodthat won't break the bank! been goin there for 7 yrs,and it's literally around the block from my house love the breakfast too! thank you for greatfoodat a great price u have our vote! judy sullivan (salonbella)
