red's in ramsay

reds is always busy and has a lineup. we were able to use the nowait app and get a good idea of how long our wait is and this helped us out a lot as we were with my in laws who would have hated waiting out in the rain.
theservicewas great. i really like that this location has parking out front (if you can get a spot) and it feels larger than the beltline location. food is always great and generous portions. the coffee here is unlimited and really good.
i got the original because i'm boring, but you can't go wrong with eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast. my husband got the florentine and though it didn't look to be much when the dish arrived, he said it was actually very filling. the inside is ham, cheese and spinach, so it's quite a rich and heavy dish. i did try my mother in laws chorizo hash and it was very flavorful. my father in law is very picky with his food and even he ate all the eggs benny.

love this place!servicehas been great the times i’ve gone and easy parking. if you go during peak times i recommend be app “nowait”. their breakfast menu is great, the quesadilla was awesome and the hash browns are super good, lots of flavour although i wish i requested sour cream. not sure what seasonings they use but best hash browns i’ve had. the chicken club sandwich is delicious and filling, chicken was juicy and full of flavour, not shaved or bland like lots of places i’ve been to. orders received in timely manners both during peak times and slow times, so that’s awesome too!

i have been coming to the original reds for a few years, i thought i would try the ramsey location, reds has always had an casual and homey type feel to it, always very comfortable, theservicehas always been half decent and the servers are usually friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, i didn't find the food exceptional, it was good and consistent to what i have become used to with reds, and as chance would have it i ended up and the new reds  on 10th street the next day.

only been here once, but i really enjoyed everything. i snagged a table for two even though i was by myself (loner alert!) and it was comfy and great for people watching. theservicewas great and the classic eggs benny was up there with the best in the city. the hashbrowns were flavorful and well seasoned. i stayed for almost an hour and a half and no one rushed me to pay and leave. highly recommend this place! *update - been here multiple times now and with the service, food quality and taste i have to now say this (and diner deluxe) is my favorite breakfast place!

mixed feelings about reds. i live in the area so i've been to this location about 15 times. food is always fresh and good. but always seems a little over priced for what you actually get, and adding anything onto your food will cost you. i got the large orange juice which tasted just like tropicana and it was an unbelievable 5 bucks. nothing amazing about the food nothing terrible.serviceis good once you actually get inside but on weekends you're looking at a 30 minute wait until about 11:30.

red's is a true gem! i have now been to both locations of red's and they are both equally excellent. my brother and i came to reds in ramsay on a sunday morning at about 9:30 and we are glad we showed up when we did. by the time we left at 10:45 there was a major lineup. the lineup is well deserved as i had the best eggs benny i have had to date. a spin on a classic benny with prosciutto, artichoke and a balsamic glaze. my brother ordered the pierogi breakfast and he very much enjoyed every bite. the menu seems to be very similar if not the same as reds on 4th. theservicewas excellent and very efficient even with a full and busy restaurant. well done reds! i will be back.

get there before 9:30am or good luck getting a table in the morning because this place is constently packed and for good reason the food is great its really fresh and they have unique spins on bfast classics like the montreal smoked meat hash or the pesto bennies, portion sizes are great and theserviceis awesome! location is very cool as well, lots of light and a comfy feel! a tad on the priceier side but you defs get what you pay for!

pristine setting, warm and inviting. i was greeted within seconds of arriving at the doorway. i ordered the caprese benny to go. it was fast and delicious, price a little steep but the quality andserviceis top notch. it's nice to have a place where hash browns are like the ones mom made, perfectly tender and crispy with some onions in there.. none of that over greased from a bag crap. i did go on a friday at 1130am so not sure how the wait is on the weekends.. but i will certainly be back!

one of the best breakfast places in calgary. everything is delicious, even the toast. the blueberry pancakes are amazing and the hashbrowns are top-notch. as well, theserviceis always friendly and fast. definitely worth the weekend wait.

amazing breakfast spot. great food choices and they tasted great. had the chorizo hash and it hit the spot after a big night out! theservicewas a little slow but the food was worth it so couldn't complain.

in the business. breakfast at red's in ramsay this morning, best coffee in town!!! good thing as we had 4 cups each to fill in the time before our food was served. sitting at the counter, in a very clean open restaurant was interesting to say the least, as we watched theserviceslip slide down hill. the place was busy and there was a line up outside, but there was reason for this and it wasn't poularity. it was the incredibly slowservicefrom the front of the house. with a full view of the kitchen we watched the kitchen staff work incredibly fast and with no slacking. it was when they placed the plates of food on the pass through under the heat lamps, the food sat. we watched the servers walk past the food, in all honestly 10 times before lifting it. we watched the owner walk past the food four times before looking around lost then finally picking it up. we only believe he did this as he was being watched. we were just about to leave without eating when our breakfast finally was served. too bad we couldn't finish as we were so full of coffee. we will not return to this restaurant as breakfast and coffee at $20 per person is too expensive for heat lamp warmed food. train your servers. they are nice friendly people with no serving skills. hire a floor manager.

worstserviceever! waited 30 mins for someone to take out order, but our server helped later patrons to the diner. very disappointing! walked out with only being serves tea and that was 6 bucks for 2!

hands down favourite. always enjoy coming here, pleasant atmosphere, good prices, and the food is always a hit. love getting the salmon eggs benedict here, it is always consistently good, but it can take a little longer if you come here in a group, it was a group of 6 when we went. last time it took us about 50 minutes from we ordered until we got our food, server was on top of it though informed us.serviceis attentive, however it can be extremely lousy if they are full.. which to some point, is understandable. nonetheless, still a happy camper.

update, july 2014, the dinner menu is gone and so is their fantastic meatloaf, so sad. but their well known breakfast and lunch menu still great. their patio is so cozy and dinner hour is not busy.

date night. we've gone to the beltline location for its brunch and had fun so when they announced their inglewood, which is really ramsay, location we couldn't wait to try it.

this location is open to 7pm i think, and so close to downtown that its a quick drive from our downtown work locations so we can avoid rush hour and have a nice supper before the drive home. the location is a rennovated old pizza place i think, but its totally amazing inside which is all new and has that real cozy yet upscale diner feel with lots of exposed brick that feels warm on a long winter's night.

everything we have tried has been awesome, especially the meatloaf (to die for seriously), the poutine is good, the steak is good, the all day breakfast is always yummy. the only thing we haven't gone over the moon for is the dessert menu, nothing really too inticing that we'd ordered from it yet. theserviceis very good, always hipsters with a fun attitude. this place for the supper hour hasn't quite been discovered yet so when we go for our date night we always get our pick of booths and the server's full attention. its a hidden gem right now.

great service. stopped by on a whim, looked like a neat place. it is, neat, nice and clean, trendy. pretty pricy though. $11 for your average 2 egg, bacon, hashbrowns & toast. after looking around and seeing breakfast on other tables, we opted to share the red's big breakfast for $15. it is big. eggs over easy - were over cooked. hashbrowns - over cooked and cold quickly, maybe made earlier and reheated? bacon - chewy, sausage - ok. pancake - pretty good and large - although they wanted to charge a couple bucks for more syrup (really???). theservicewas excellent, but for $21.00 (not including gst or tip yet) for a shared breakfast and 2 coffee, won't be back. you can get all of this at the black diamond bakery for $4.95.
