have read so many reviews on this place so i had very high hopes due to being called the best korean fried chicken in sydney. this was definitely not the best but t was decent. the chicken here didn’t blow my mind away but still enjoyable, i would have to say that the red pepper bistro is over rated

always come here in stratty for korean fried chicken! tried the snow cheese, garlic soy, spicy chicken, sweet and spicy and hot and spicy. the snow cheese tastes really good, but hard to finish off cause the cheese starts to get sickening. the garlic soy and sweet and spicy are really good! this place marinates their chicken really well! its not overly saucy but just right! the hot and spicy is basically more powdered form of spicy chicken, rather than the spicy chicken is marinated. i generally prefer the spicy marinated one over the powdered ones. as sometimes the powder spices has a weird taste to it. but nonetheless, a decent place for korean fried chicken! they also sell bingsu here!

for me, the best korean fried chicken is from red pepper. the restaurant is located inside the rsl club with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. my favourite is the spring onion fried chicken followed by the soy fried chicken.

on this particular visit, i tried the hot and spicy one which was definitely on the more spicy side but still delicious. we also ordered the seafood tofu stew but there were only two clams inside so not quite which i imagined. for dessert they offered bingsoo and the matcha one was quite nice with the red bean mochi and chocolate cake.

noodles were filling and tasty but the fried chicken was nothing special. we went after reading a lot of positive reviews but did not find it that special.

the first photo shows what we ordered, while the second photo shows what we left. the fried chicken are too hard to chew, and there is only one wing and chicken leg in each dish. the rice cakes in the dish are cold. there are only 5 small side dishes which are not yummy. the bibimbap and tofu stew are plain. i like korean food very much. but i will never go back to this club restaurant any more. don't be fooled by the 4.0 rating score :(

solid, low key place for korean. don't under estimate it though as it is packed during weeknights. the chicken is goooood. so are some of the other dishes such was bossam and the seafood pancake. thoroughly enjoyed our saturday lunch here and would come back.

red pepper is considered one of the most popular korean fried chicken spots in strathfield and i can see why.

all their fried chicken is incredibly tender and juicy but their beef and mushroom hot pot is a disappointment.

my favourite is the snow cheese fried chicken - it is the best i have ever had! i've tried snow cheese at quite a few places but red pepper bistro undeniably makes it the best. the cheese powder is perfectly balanced with the salt and sweet, and it's cooked well with crispy skin and a tender inside.

however the spicy chilli chicken is more sweet than chilli and special gangjung just tastes like honey.

the kimchi cheese pancake also came out soggy and not crispy as they put their cheese on top (like a pizza) and not inside.

situated inside strathfield bowling club. great korean fried chicken with a huge range of flavours available. also on the menu is hotspot, sides and the well known kimchi pancake with mozzarella... a must try. great idea for a weekend lunch with friends. fried chicken and ice cold beers, can't go wrong

went there just for the fried chicken as i was recommended by a friend. they have many choices of seasonings & sauces one but i still prefer the original. not disappointed by their crispy coating & juicy meat. also tried the pork bone soup. it was just so so, not much meat in the bones and the soup hasn’t got much seasoning. will only go back for the fried chicken next time. 🤨

hmm this place might be a bit overrated. amazing quantity, but the service takes more than 30 minutes, and if you order lots of fried chicken, eventually you won’t feel too much of difference between all of them. also, their hot chicken, is barely hot, and snow cheese is a must try👌🏽

probably one of the most popular places in strathfield, and good reason so! their fried chicken is juicy and crunchy, wide selection of flavours available. sweet and spicy ($35) and garlic soy ($34) were really tasty.

their other meals are great too. the japchae/sweet potato noodles ($14) was a standout for me - noodles were hot and perfectly cooked with a good chewiness.

was packed out on a saturday night, so would definitely recommend booking!

you need a photo id to get into this damn restaurant as it is inside a sports club. that's fine if they warn the customers before hand in the website or somewhere to bring the driving licence or the passport. one person in our group didn't have a photo id so we could not go in. the girl at the entrance was so strict (and stupid). anyhow that was a blessing in disguise as we went to ceci restaurant nearby.

it tends to get packed during dinner time so it's good to come early before 7pm to be get a table inside. the fried chicken never disappoints but i wish they allowed half and half boneless chickens for all flavours. i really liked the boneless ganjun chicken but it was very chilli. the dry soba noodles are nice if you're a vegetarian- it was refreshing and went well with the spicy chicken
