red pepper bistro

a club bistro might be the lastplaceyou'd expect to find good food, but we're in strathfield, transport hub and home to a little korea of restaurants, snack shops and grocery stores. we sign in at the desk (temporary membership is free) and head into the bistro. it's the usual set-up of tv screens, a tab section off to the side and a bar where you can order and pay for drinks and food.

kfc. came here for the korean fried chicken and thats what we got. although it can take quite a long time to get it at times because its usually packed or something, the food was pretty good although a bit smaller in quantity then others especially when u go for half half. the service wasnt too great, probably cause its not really a proper restaurant with waiters going around everywhere. greatplaceto bring with a big group of friends to eat some kfc and watch some soccer.

looking for some good flavoured chickens????!! then red pepper bistro is theplaceto check out. i absolutely love their snow cheese chicken! they do all sort of flavours. it's the perfectplaceto chill out with your mates watching sports.

got a mad craving for fried chicken? red pepper (4a lyons st strathfield) inside the strathfield sports club is a pretty topsplacefor chilli chicken, original fried chicken and wasabi sauce chicken.

thisplacewill satisfy your taste buds and the food will make you ignore the ambience (coz the ambience is not guest friendly). prices were okay too

first time visiting red pepper in years and theplacehas changed so much! interior is much more aesthetic and relaxed. lots of room and good for groups. we didn't have to wait in line too long however we did go on a weekday. 

the soy fried chicken was the best dish. the creamy onion chicken was a bit too heavy on the sauce and tasted like mayo, and the sweet and spicy chicken was too sweet for my liking. i prefer boned chicken over boneless chicken because it keeps the meat juicy. the black bean noodles were very bland - the noodles didn't absorb much of the sauce. the cold noodles were great - it's hard to go wrong but it was the first time i'd ever tried green tea noodles! japchae was perfectly flavoured. will definitely come back to try more dishes.

i really enjoy the chicken here. there's quite a few choices but my favourite is definitely the spring onion boneless chicken!! it is a bistro so the atmosphere can be quite loud but definitely a greatplaceto chill out with friends, have a few beers and some fried chicken

theplaceused to do really good fried chicken and used to go all the way from north shore.

unfortunately, the size keeps shrinking and the chicken gets smaller so it's bit of let down.

strathfield sports club is in the grips of a major renovation. in its new form, their ever-popular red pepper bistro takes pride ofplaceon the ground floor with a brand new commercial kitchen, just after the busy sign-in desk. the now mostly neutral-toned dining room is set right beside their pair of well-lit, 5-a-side soccer fields.with the dining room sitting about a metre below the field height, it’s footwork central, with the ball flying into goal nets right at head height. against bowls of kook soon dang ($13/bottle) draft makgeolli we take in the sport and the energetic dining room.having to dance around the building works created by this nicholas architects redesign doesn’t seem to have dampened the enthusiasm for this korean bistro, with large groups of youthful athletic types, families with small kids, and dating couples making up the bulk of the crowd. the rowdier groups are throwing back beer and soju against giant platters of korean fried chicken from the incredible chicken menu. we join the fray using the smaller serve setting...

popularplacefor group hangouts and what better way to do that than with some korean fried chicken. between the two of us, half a chicken was more than enough. the sweet and spicy flavor was more sweet than spicy, the side of pickles helped to balance the flavours. wash it down with some cold beer or a ice cold soft drink.

nice restaurant above the sports bar. theplaceis spacious and looks clean. we had jap chae noodles, original fried chicken and the garlic soy chicken. the original fried chicken was average in taste. the jap chae and the garlic soy chicken were flavoured well. the chicken was crunchy even with the garlic soy sauce. would definitely come back and try the other flavours.

so i've heard a lot of great reviews about thisplaceand thought i'd give it a try. i ordered the spring onion chicken and veggie bibimbap. the food came quite quickly since it was very busy on the friday night. the chicken was a little sweeter than expected, although, it did have the crunch. i might come back to try the original one to see if i like it better but the food is not amazing as it's described by others.

big atmosphere, friendly staff and a greatplaceto enjoy korean fried chicken with your mates.
they have assorted flavours and other side dishes.

i love fried chicken.  i can never get enough of it.  it goes well with bread, with waffles and especially with a bowl (or two!) of fried rice.  the city is teeming with different types of fried chicken, i always try to push my husband to visit and sample it.  for this review it will be kfc – korean fried chicken.  theplaceto visit is red pepper bistro.

have read so many reviews on thisplaceso i had very high hopes due to being called the best korean fried chicken in sydney. this was definitely not the best but t was decent. the chicken here didn’t blow my mind away but still enjoyable, i would have to say that the red pepper bistro is over rated
