kfc. came here for thekoreanfried chicken and thats what we got. although it can take quite a long time to get it at times because its usually packed or something, the food was pretty good although a bit smaller in quantity then others especially when u go for half half. the service wasnt too great, probably cause its not really a proper restaurant with waiters going around everywhere. great place to bring with a big group of friends to eat some kfc and watch some soccer.

bestkoreanfried chicken in sydney. friendly service and good location. the chicken menu is really good as there are lots of choices and flavours. the prices could be a bit better but overall it's a great experience. the cheese powder with the plain chicken tastes amazing and the pickles are extremely refreshing. went with the boys and we ordered different flavours of chicken with different sauces. we loved it and will be back for more!

some of the bestkoreanfried chicken in sydney can be found at the bistro located inside strathfield sports club. our group ordered the chicken tower giving us a variety of chicken dishes, and the snow cheese is a must-try. it is a popular restaurant so be prepared for a bit of a wait on food. it’s a great venue for kids too, with its covered outdoor play area, noting children must vacate the premises by 10pm.

some of the bestkoreanfried chicken in sydney. i’ve visited this establishment so many times now and i’m always impressed by the crispness of the chicken and the flavours of the sauce. i remember the snow cheese chicken being a little tastier than on this occasion but the crumbing is still good.

the spicy fried chicken is delicious. unfortunately the terrible service and difficulties to get into the sports club ruined our night. there are so many otherkoreanoptions in strathfield that we will not bother going back to this one.

2.5. quite pricey for the amount of chicken you get in each serving compared to other places and the quality in my experience didn’t really make up for it. $21 for a regular serving which isn’t that filling and the chicken is sort of dry. however there is plenty of seating and staff is friendly— waiting time is quite long though. if you’re looking to have somekoreanfried chicken for better pricing i’m sure there are better places (e.g nene chicken). spicy chicken also wasn’t as spicy as i’d have liked it to be but still has some flavour nonetheless

really 3.5 - maybe it’s what i order however i always findkoreanfood to be lacking in salt and generous in sugar. we had the kimchi with cheese pancake, spring onion chicken, hot spicy chicken (the dry seasoning one not the saucy one) and fries for hubby. the fries actually had salt (although i could still taste sugar in there) which helped to balance some of the sweetness. chicken was super crunchy and cooked well. i would order the hot spicy bone in chicken again and i’ll bring friends to try more variety. i’ll also smuggle in my own soya sauce and a salt shaker.

is this really the best fried chicken in sydney? i feel like that's a pretty hard question to answer now as there are so many greatkoreanfried chicken joints around, and it's more a question of which flavours each top tier establishment excels at. red pepper and their other icg counterparts definitely have a few varieties that they do best, and here in the sports club they also have a few other things going for them.

first off, i've had all their chicken at least a couple of times now, and i'm at a point where there are only 3 things i will order here: spring onion, incredible ganjung and sweet and spicy. for the other varieties there are better takes on them elsewhere, especially the snow cheese and classic garlic soy which are quite weak here. spring onion here is divine, sauce has good wasabi hit and overall not too heavy. it's good to order with one of the saucier ones to balance. incredible ganjung has awesome spice element from the cinnamon, and is a flavour unique to icg. sweet and spicy sauce is one of the best around, and really cant go wrong with this classic.

the club itself is hot off a recent renovation. they have their own decently sized car park, nice outdoor area and of course a bar. this means draft beer and drink variety here far exceeds any other chicken place, and they even have draft makgeolli. also present is a cafe, where you can get drinks and dessert. atmosphere here is great, as many come here in big groups. it gets very busy even on weekdays, but i find the wait for a table is usually not long. wait times for chicken however, can exceed 1 hr so make sure you ask if you don't want to wait too long.

strathfield sports club is in the grips of a major renovation. in its new form, their ever-popular red pepper bistro takes pride of place on the ground floor with a brand new commercial kitchen, just after the busy sign-in desk. the now mostly neutral-toned dining room is set right beside their pair of well-lit, 5-a-side soccer fields.with the dining room sitting about a metre below the field height, it’s footwork central, with the ball flying into goal nets right at head height. against bowls of kook soon dang ($13/bottle) draft makgeolli we take in the sport and the energetic dining room.having to dance around the building works created by this nicholas architects redesign doesn’t seem to have dampened the enthusiasm for thiskoreanbistro, with large groups of youthful athletic types, families with small kids, and dating couples making up the bulk of the crowd. the rowdier groups are throwing back beer and soju against giant platters ofkoreanfried chicken from the incredible chicken menu. we join the fray using the smaller serve setting...

bestkoreanfried chicken in sydney!
always consistently crispy, flavoursome but not too much, and the meat is always tender and juicy!
always leave you wanting more.
great variety of flavours and sauces available with your fried chicken!
their hot pot varieties- budae jiggae is pretty good too! & their bossam is delish!
jajangmyun is a new menu item and it's delicious as well- just too small of a serving.
highly recommend for a quickkoreanfeed- good for large groups and families

having heard so many great reviews about red pepper for having the bestkoreanfried chicken, i finally had a chance to try it out late last night.

we arrived around 11pm on a thursday night and we were super excited to find there was an extensive menu just for fried chicken as well askoreanside meals. we settled on the garlic soy and sweet and spicy chicken only to find ourselves waiting for almost 40 minutes before our food arrived. there was probably about 4 other tables that were occupied so i didn’t understand what took so long? the people working seemed to care more about talking to each other than to clean up dirty tables and get the food served.

i did find that the garlic soy chicken needed more seasoning and sauce. however the sweet and spicy was delicious! i just wished all of the chicken was cooked well as we left some pieces due to it being dry and flavourless.

overall, the chicken was good, not amazing. it was definitely overhyped and service needs a lot of work.

popular place for group hangouts and what better way to do that than with somekoreanfried chicken. between the two of us, half a chicken was more than enough. the sweet and spicy flavor was more sweet than spicy, the side of pickles helped to balance the flavours. wash it down with some cold beer or a ice cold soft drink.
