best steakhouse in the okc area. my first time here was when i moved here from california 6 years ago. came for valentines dinner and the food and atmosphere was wonderful!
just recently celebrated my husband's birthday here and theservicewas top notch! everything on the menu is prepared well and in good serving sizes. the steaks are amazing. i had the 7oz kobe steak and my mouth is still tingling from how tender and perfect it was.
check out the mac and cheese..you can't go wrong with this steakhouse!

the ribeye steaks were very good. the meal comes with an average tasting basket of rolls and butter. theserviceis excellent and the peach bellini (not on the menu) was perfect. the side sampler seems to be a good balance of portions and variety for 3-5 people. do not skip dessert! try the dolce de leche and you will not be disappointed!

by far, my favorite restaurant in okc.  i get to go there about once a month for work.  so far this month, i've been on 11/5 and 11/11 with friends and coworkers.  i always get the 10oz filet.  my favorite sides are the carrots, garlic mashed potatoes and the mac n cheese.  the wedge salad is the best i've ever had.  fantastic wine list.  great perfect margaritas and dirty martinis.  great apps!  i love when they have the rock shrimp special app.  so good!  calamari is excellent.  crab cakes are yummy, even though they're made with panko.  i prefer mahogany's crab cakes, which are maryland style.  but the steaks are better at ranch.  i ordered my filet med-rare wed night and it came out more rare.  but i cut it in half and let that super hot plate cook it a little more.  perfect!!!  i've never had a bad meal here.  service is the best in town.  great bar.

i get the sense this is place is unwilling to overcook good quality beef and i take that as a good thing. everyone's steak order at our table was cooked slightly less than what they had ordered. it is apparent that these folks don't like to char the product they take great pride in. reservations are a must.serviceis pretty fantastic in the dimly lit dining hall. the food is completely worth the money but i like to see something a little more over the top and a steakhouse which suggests it's pushing the limit.

almost perfect. best dry aged steak on oklahoma hands down. eaten at places like gibsons, david burks, peter lugers, cut, etc. the place in chicago where they age their steaks is the best in the world. i have eaten at the ranch probably 20 times and the steaks never disappoint. that being said,servicehas ranged from one of the best to not so good. mostly issues at the speed of the bar. but i have also had a waiter that blew my
mind he was so good. the only reason i can't give it a perfect rating is the side dishes and appetizers. i want so bad to love the mac and cheese. or love the mac with lobster but
it is just average. green beans average , mushrooms average etc. still my favorite place in okc and by far the best steaks but please just tweet the sides a hair.

please don't change! leave the menu alone. food is awesome...leave theserviceas is. it's all good... just seems when i like a place they cut corners, drive up the price and run me off.. your doing just fine ranch.

i will make it quick. no lobster in my bisque. not one tiny bit. should be called lobster flavored cream. on the other hand my ny strip was awesome. well marbled, rare and full of flavor. the creamed spinach is my favorite side. did i mention that there was no lobster meat in the bisque?

and there were six!. we had a marvelous evening last friday evening. theservicewas perfect...no other word to use. our group dines out one friday each month and this month took us to ranch steakhouse for the first time. we made reservations rather late and had to take a table in the bar but it was well worth it! steaks were cooked perfectly, salads fresh and elegantly served by excellent servers. thank you ranch steakhouse for a great evening. we will be back.

best steak i've ever had. i took my wife here for our anniversary a few weeks ago and it was hands down the best dinner either of us ever had. theservicewas outstanding - very attentive and knowledgeable. it's a bit pricey but absolutely worth every single penny. will return!!

just so so for the price and other options. after hearing about the ranch for several years, i found the overall experience to be below other similar places in the okc area. the atmosphere was seriously distracted by large big screen tvs mounted on the wall in the dining area advertising pieces of art. theservicewas awkward and time consuming. after being left with simple paper menus below the quality of those found at chili's, we had to push the server for any specials not listed on the menu. we then had to push the server to actually take our order. also found it to be rather offsetting that when they were re-setting the table next to us that they would reach above where i was sitting to place the salt and pepper shakers on a ledge in the dining area. the ribeye steak was outstanding. served hot and perfectly cooked and seasoned very well. the calamari was very good. the chopped salad was meh. the au gratin potatoes were meh. the crab cakes were meh. the lamb was grossly under cooked and very, very disappointing.

we have been trying to get a reservation for a while. we heard great reviews but were unsure about this place being a version of cattlemans. we were pleasantly surprised by their food. it is the second best steak i have ever had, the lobster was delicious and the vegetables we ordered were perfect. that sais lots since i have had fine dining in 3 continents. outstanding food!!! there were a few things about theservicethat were wery odd. they do not serve bread unless you ask for it or order a salad?! we order the appetizer to share and we had to use the empty bread plates. but, i will definetly go back again and again.

some good, some bad. had a friend's birthday dinner on 2/18/2014.servicewas great. while the steaks are served sizzling and cook some on the plate, my med well and her well done were both under-cooked. did not send back thinking they'd cook more on the plate. my sweet potato was hard as a rock - sent back - manager brought back nuked some and comp'ed it, but still too tough. her asparagus was hardly cooked at all and hard. her au gratin potatoes were not thoroughly cooked either. did not send either back. while the decor of this place is lovely, even on a tuesday night after president's day (when i figured it would be pretty dead), while sitting at a back booth, the noise levels were deafening. both of us had to yell across the table. very unexpected. so overall, while the staff were very accomodating, the experience was sub-par even compared to a reasonable steakhouse like longhorn. my advice for an up-scale steak place includes mickey mantle's downtown, and not really any more expensive (actually less).

was ok, not great. the food was excellent. atmosphere, superb.servicewas slight lacking. theservicedid not check back often enough. i had to wave someone down. the cost is far too high. honestly, it was difficult to pay $28 for a 7oz steak that cost me at home $5. but, the thing that bothered me most was noise level fro other customers. i could hear many conversation, it was very distracting.

anniversary dinner - incredible as always. went to the ranch last friday night for our anniversary. the ranch is my favorite steak house in oklahoma city! i probably post this every time i eat here, but it really is. i love the ranch! thanks for a wonderful dinner, wonderful service, and a wonderful atmosphere!

pre-valentine's day delight!. we always enjoy this restaurant! greatserviceand great food! so of course we would make our reservations for our valentine's day celebration here! very accommodating when we wanted to finished our evening in the bar area to catch the end of the thunder game!

love the ranch. always excellent food and service. anytime we want to enjoy a nice evening out we head to the ranch. i usually get the filet or the rib eye - can't go wrong with either. all their sides are home-style, so they are great for sharing.

a miss....servicewas excellent and i liked the lodge type atmosphere. kind of country meets clint eastwood. the bread was very sustainable. the steak, not so much. i had the rib eye. it was bland. arrived at the table cooked correctly and unknown to me, was served on an extraordinarily hot plate where it continued to cook throughout my meal. by the time i took my last bite it had gone from medium (yum) to well (hockey puck). my wife didn't fare much better. i also scorched my finger on the plate.
wine list is extensive. price for value not doing it for me. it was disappointing b/c i had heard very good things about the food.
