by far, my favorite restaurant in okc.  i get to go there about once a month for work.  so far this month, i've been on 11/5 and 11/11 with friends and coworkers.  i always get the 10oz filet.  my favorite sides are the carrots, garlic mashed potatoes and the mac n cheese.  the wedge salad is the best i've ever had.  fantastic wine list.  great perfect margaritas and dirty martinis.  great apps!  i love when they have the rock shrimp special app.  so good!  calamari is excellent.  crab cakes are yummy, even though they're made with panko.  i prefer mahogany's crab cakes, which are maryland style.  but the steaks are better at ranch.  i ordered myfiletmed-rare wed night and it came out more rare.  but i cut it in half and let that super hot plate cook it a little more.  perfect!!!  i've never had a bad meal here.  service is the best in town.  great bar.

love the ranch. always excellent food and service. anytime we want to enjoy a nice evening out we head to the ranch. i usually get thefiletor the rib eye - can't go wrong with either. all their sides are home-style, so they are great for sharing.

went there for my birthday. not sure how you can screw up a wedge salad, but it was horrible. the french onion soup was so so. i've had better. my boyfriend and i both ordered steaks. myfiletwas not great, and he barely touched his bone in steak. nothing to write home about, and definitely not worth the $200 we spent.

favorite restaurant in okc? maybe!. i have been to the ranch steakhouse a total of about 5x. a few times i have gone with my husband and a few with friends, and i have never gotten bad food or service here.

recently, last wednesday my husband and i went on a double date with our friends (another couple) and had a wonderful evening. i made reservations at 8:30pm and requested a booth and that's what we got!

anyways.. onto the food! i had the 7ozfiletmignon cooked medium rare and a baked sweet potato with brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter. myfiletwas cooked perfectly! make sure to order one level down from what your liking is, because the steaks come on a 360 degree hot plate. mines was cooked rare when i first got it, but it kept cooking on the plate and then became medium rare which was perfectly fine with me. the baked sweet potato was huge! but, i loved it so much that i was happy to get a large portion. the sides average around 8 dollars a la carte, but they give you family sized portions. i honestly think i liked the sweet potato more than myfileteven though thefiletwas the best steak i had ever had! if you order thefiletmignon you won't need a steak knife, just a butter knife! it's that melt in your mouth tender! but, enough with my food..

my husband had the 14oz ribeye as usual medium rare and a side of sauteed mushrooms. his ribeye was amazing but the mushrooms were nothing special just salted button mushrooms thrown around in a pan, that's all.. our friends had the beef medallions and the duck also cooked medium rare, and they seemed to love their entrees as well since everyone pretty much finished their plates if not cleaned it completely.

for dessert we all shared the dulce dulce de leche ice cream pie which was caramel ice cream, chocolate ganache, toasted marshmallows, on a graham cracker crust, it was heaven! we also had the carnegie deli cheesecake from ny with lemon curd and blueberry compote. the lemon curd was absolutely divine!

the service was extremely friendly as usual and our server was very knowledgeable and polite, but ridiculously slow. it wasn't a big deal though since our food came out tasting more than delicious. however, he did manage to accidently put one of my friends food items on our tab, but it wasn't anything to cry about, just wouldn't expect any mistakes happening at a restaurant of this caliber. i'd expect simple mistakes like this at a cheesecake factory, but not at the ranch but then again.. we all make mistakes, lol!

overall, everyone had a great evening and we will definitely come back! the ranch steakhouse is the best steakhouse in okc!

the best!. i can't believe this place doesn't have a 100% rating. i've eaten here at least 20 times and have had impeccable meals each time. i love how hot the plate is! i order myfiletmedium rare....it comes out more toward the rare side, but as i'm eating my steak, it's basically still cooking, and each bite is perfect! the carrots and mashed potatoes are so yummy. i never ate mashed potatoes til i tried them at the ranch. omg...soooo good. the wedge salad is the best in okc. ok....this is my favorite restaurant ever!

very pleased with my romantic date to ranch steakhouse!. we were seated immediately, and appreciated the quieter ambiance--low light (but not dark), and no disruptive background music. this is a place to have a conversation over dinner. the decor is a nice combination of "rustic steakhouse" (think "dark beams of wood and wine racks") and western art. the ranch steakhouse has an association of sorts with the national cowboy museum, and features prints of western art and, in one room, a running video slideshow of art. on sunday night, it isn't busy.

on to the food: service was quick but not rushed, and our server was friendly without any off-putting "suck up" aires. he was genuinely likeable, and very helpful with menu selections and specials. we ordered lobster, filet, garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, and mac&cheese with green chiles. not one item disappointed, but the mac&cheese with green chiles was the surprise standout of the entire meal--a must order!filetwas cooked perfectly, which in this sense means slightly undercooked and then served on a searing hot plate to continue the process at your table. the food was brought without a lengthy wait, which was surprising for the caliber of fare. for dessert we had cheesecake and chocolate molten cake (served with fresh berries, but more for decoration than as a fruit serving). total bill: $144 for two entrees, three sides, a glass of wine, and two desserts. keep in mind, we tended to order entrees on the more expensive side.

would we go back? definitely--for a special occasion.

disappointing. we had a table of 4 and everyone order a type of filet. i ordered the kobefiletwhich is supposed to be bestfileton menu. well, it was chewy and stringy and had grizzle. please, afiletwith grizzle! the steak was $50 and they offered to take 1/2 off. no way. also, i ordered a 10 oz steak to share and they decided to bring us 2 - 5 oz and charge us for two meals. no one loved their steak, and the bill, with one meal removed, was still $254 before tip. i will never go back.

my wife and i ate here for our valentines dinner. we were both looking for a good steak and good wine. this place was on point. she had therefiletspecial and i had the porter house. both steaks cooked perfectly. we had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and lettuce wedges. and a good bottle of wine. the sides to our steaks were so so. dessert was awesome some kind of carmel ice cream cake. if you are looking for a good steak this is place. been to some very high end places in dallas this place competes with them all. service was exceptionally great too.

the premium beef is the best steak that any steak house could do. my wife had the premium 10 oz.filetwith the fois gras topping and the 7 oz. lobster. both were perfect! i had the pittsburg style bone in ribeye. it will redefined red meat. we had the blackned scallops, better than what we had on the east coast. our server joe recommended the donuts for dessert. it's a chefs specialty, and they are not on the menu! fantastic! thank you " ranch" for yet again the best steak experience i have ever had!

my favorite place to eat...in the world!. i am a meat eater and they deliver the goods at the ranch. thefiletmelts in your mouth and any of the sides are spectacular. my personal favorite are the garlic whipped potatoes and a chopped house salad with blue cheese crumbles. we go a few times a year, not too much because we want to keep it special.
for my birthday a couple of years ago we went. started with some wine, had dinner, then went to a private room and had coffee and dessert. followed by a fine selection of cigars and bourbon. to be sure one of my favorite birthday dinners!
