way over rated...svc is good, worst steak ever for $235 ticket for 2 before tip. i came to eat after hearing all the awesome reviews and personal referrals. the prices were a bit intimidating for a steak so we waited for a special date. today was that day and i was way more excited than i should have been. i am a go big or go home type of person so we ordered drinks and crab cakes ($17) to start and went for the dry age porter house steak ($68 )and added the crab topping ($10). we got two. since people spoke so highly on the reviews we wanted to make sure we made the best of this experience so we went ahead and did the side sampler ($20) mac and cheez, garlic mash, and brussel sprouts. crab cakes were fair, but not the best. steak---horrendous. tasted like it was soaked in salt and then salt dipped before cooking. topping was very odd flavor for the steak. it was not edible in my opinion. i have had a lot of steaks and usually i can eat anything, but this....well not what i expected from a $80 steak. sides didn't taste fresh more like betty crocker. and my steak was more rare than medium rare.

the one thing that i can speak highly of is the staff. they were polite and professional. we told the staff and they were happy to recook another steak for both of us and even brought out fresh sides and a free dessert. the sad part is that even after they fixed the salt issue the steak was tough and didn't have much flavor. they tried so i give them that, but still a date night. after that i just wanted to go home. i don't think i will ever go there again. jamils was much better and a fraction of the cost.

round 2: eh...not really any different. steak was underwhelming, sides taste frozen. i have had better everywhere. they made a big scene since the whole staff knew i was the one who didn't enjoy last time. made me feel awkward really. i actually took my steak home because it was under seasoned. i ended up cooking it up the following day with breakfast. atmosphere does not make up for the lack of real flavor. i really think people have a weak pallet to love this place.

one of the best in okc.. the ranch is great. we've been there several times, probably 1-3 times a month. wonderful service, never had a bad meal. my only complaint is if the waiter thinks you have a business account, he'll try to push very expensive alcohol. we've had bar bills cost more than our meals-some drinks are $50 a pour and boy, do those waiters push those. also, the waiters get a commission on all alcohol orders so what kind of wine do you think they'll push, the $60 a bottle or the $250?

the mantle in bricktown (not mickey mantles) is also a great steakhouse, nice atmosphere and the waiters never push expensive wines.

best steakhouse in the okc area. my first time here was when i moved here from california 6 years ago. came for valentines dinner and the food and atmosphere was wonderful!
just recently celebrated my husband's birthday here and the service was top notch! everything on the menu is prepared well and in good serving sizes. the steaks are amazing. i had the 7oz kobe steak and my mouth is still tingling from how tender and perfect it was.
check out the mac and cheese..you can't go wrong with this steakhouse!

spent 11th year anniversary dinner here. i started this whole thing off with their website assisted reservation system via opentable. process was simple. updates available via email and app. strange that ranch didn't call to confirm receipt of reservation.for beverages, my wife had a stella and i had coop's f4 brew. we also opted in for the night's special appetizer offering: which was some kind of shrimp dish -i couldn't really tell you what it was. (more on that later). this was basically shrimp served on spinach, arugula and kale along with a spicy asian chili sauce. both the wife and i decided on the 14oz ribeye, medium rare (pink to red and cool center -cooked to perfection). we both opted in toppings. the wife went the cabernet mushroom sauce and selected the garlic butter compound. unfortunately for me, my steak was served with the compound already added. i would have rather seen my $60 steak in all it's glory. my wife's steak was drowning in her cab/shroom sauce to the point i could not tell if it was a steak -but the sauce was truly amazing and rich. originally, we told by friends to try the truffle compound butter -but i couldn't bring myself to spend another $5 for a topping.  i totally get that some of the toppings are going to be charge worthy -but not a simple garlic butter compound (but that is a personal preference). we also shared the family-sized garlic mashed potatoes. i wasn't a fan and have had better. i loved that our steaks were served on 400 degree plate. nice touch there.the ambiance was low-lit and just a tad noisy for my liking. it reminded me of a ultra-upscale cattleman's -or what they could be.i think the biggest reason behind my 4.0 rating wasn't the food, location or ambiance. it was the service. our waiter seemed disinterested in us being there. specials were rattled off so fast -i had to ask for him to repeat them -plus the environmental noise to boot. i think maybe his attention was more geared toward the party of 8 ordering kobe and wagyu selections from the evening specials. i simply felt like the servers were more attentive than the waiter.our total tab for 2 drinks, 2 steaks (+2 toppings), 1 appetizer, 2 roles and 1 family side plus tip was $230.

the best steakhouse in okc. it's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. i've tried a variety of appetizers, salads, steaks, seafood dishes, and sides over the years and it's always consistent and tastes wonderful. the atmosphere is upscale yet relaxed and the staff knows their menu and service.

the ribeye steaks were very good. the meal comes with an average tasting basket of rolls and butter. the service is excellent and the peach bellini (not on the menu) was perfect. the side sampler seems to be a good balance of portions and variety for 3-5 people. do not skip dessert! try the dolce de leche and you will not be disappointed!

let's get down to brass tacks: this is the best steakhouse in town.  it may be the best ambiance in town too. wonderful decor, pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and a bar area that is upscale, but quiet and relaxed.

so often in oklahoma city the story with steak houses goes something like this: "i just paid $80 dollars for a $20 steak! wth?!" not so here. oh you will pay 50 or $65. but it will be worth it. 100% usda certified prime tenderloins. and it is the details that matter. that 400 degree plate comes out, and will keep that steak at the right temperature for 30 minutes while i savor every bite.

the sides come ala carte, and while they are tasty, they come family style (for 4), so you really need to come to a consensus on what you want. if not, i suggest getting the sampler which has 3 choices and is portioned for 2. the mac and cheese was good, as were the sweet potatoes.

there is also some lovely outdoor seating, although at this time of year maybe not so much.

i strongly suggest making a reservation.

delicious steak, my 11 and 9 year old loved it! it is expensive but the quality of the food was great and so was the service. we had the east surf and turf and split it amongst the 4 of us along with a couple of sides tags were great. the key like pie was also fantastic.

very underwhelming.

went here for our anniversary dinner.

wife ordered the 7 oz tenderloin. it was very tender and cooked to order. nice size.

i ordered the 12 oz sirloin and liked my wife's tenderloin more. i ordered my sirloin medium-rare but the ends were tough and i trimmed the cooked parts off and just ate the rare parts inside cause that was the tender parts. the pepper and salt crust on it was way too much.

we had the sides sampler with brussels sprouts (bitter and under done), mac and cheese (eh, nothing to write home about) and the green beans (flavorless and almost frozen tasting).

for dessert we had the cheesecake and it was good cheesecake but again, not worth $10.

would we return, no. just not worth it. i am sure there were better cuts of steak there but a good steak is not hard to find and paying $37 for one isn't really necessary anymore.

by far, my favorite restaurant in okc.  i get to go there about once a month for work.  so far this month, i've been on 11/5 and 11/11 with friends and coworkers.  i always get the 10oz filet.  my favorite sides are the carrots, garlic mashed potatoes and the mac n cheese.  the wedge salad is the best i've ever had.  fantastic wine list.  great perfect margaritas and dirty martinis.  great apps!  i love when they have the rock shrimp special app.  so good!  calamari is excellent.  crab cakes are yummy, even though they're made with panko.  i prefer mahogany's crab cakes, which are maryland style.  but the steaks are better at ranch.  i ordered my filet med-rare wed night and it came out more rare.  but i cut it in half and let that super hot plate cook it a little more.  perfect!!!  i've never had a bad meal here.  service is the best in town.  great bar.

i get the sense this is place is unwilling to overcook good quality beef and i take that as a good thing. everyone's steak order at our table was cooked slightly less than what they had ordered. it is apparent that these folks don't like to char the product they take great pride in. reservations are a must. service is pretty fantastic in the dimly lit dining hall. the food is completely worth the money but i like to see something a little more over the top and a steakhouse which suggests it's pushing the limit.

so been here about four times. i have to tell you that i stopped ordering steaks from restaurants years ago because nobody can cook them worth a damn. well the ranch changes all that. they cook probably the best steak i've ever had anywhere. i always order the fillet it's cooked perfectly and comes out on a hot plate that keeps that steak extremely warm as you eat it. yes it's expensive, plan on spending a lot of money, but this is a great place to take your wife for a special evening or just one of those hey let's go eat some really good food. i promise try it and you will like it.
