was ok, not great. the food was excellent. atmosphere, superb. service was slight lacking. the service did not check back often enough. i had to wave someone down. the cost is far too high. honestly, it was difficult to pay $28 for a 7oz steak that cost me at home $5. but, the thing that bothered me most was noise level fro other customers. i could hear many conversation, it was very distracting.

very straightforward restaurant. this is a steakhouse and their meats are prepared above reproach. sides are typical and good, though not exciting. prices are fairly high, but if you want the best bite of steak in okc, this is probably it.

high on my list. the ranch was a favorite hang out of a recently departed dear friend, and a group of us went there to have a drink in his memory the other day. the place is a little dark, with lots of wood and a warm feel like a classic steakhouse. the bar is very nicely set up with top brands on display. we ended up ordering food to go back to our hotel with us and it was a treat! the beef tournedoes were tender and tasty with a little blue cheese melted on top; the broccolini with garlic and butter was wonderful. my gf said the salmon was one of the best dishes she'd ever had. the rib-eye steak and baked potato were outstanding. yes, the steaks are expensive, especially the top cuts, but this is what you find in virtually all upscale steak joints these days. but you can get an appetizer and a side and still have a very filling meal. this would be a great place for a special dinner, a nice date or just a drink and nice dinner after work.

love the ranch. always excellent food and service. anytime we want to enjoy a nice evening out we head to the ranch. i usually get the filet or the rib eye - can't go wrong with either. all their sides are home-style, so they are great for sharing.

everything was very good!. wife and i went here recently to celebrate our 1 yr wedding anniversary. we've heard great things about the ranch, and we like to eat at a nice steakhouse every once in a while. the atmosphere was nice, had a sort of western type theme. it felt intimate, and the restaurant was dimly lit. started out with a couple of salads. wife had the seasonal date & goat cheese salad and really liked it. i had the pear & spiced pecan salad, and i loved it. it had a spicy vinaigrette, which was different, but i really enjoy spicy foods. we were not super hungry, so we split the bone-in ribeye, which was cooked perfectly. the steak was tender, and it had a lot of flavor. we did not choose to add any toppings or sauces, and i am glad we didn't. would've probably ruined the great tasting steak. it's not my favorite steak in the world, but the best so far that i've had in okc. favorite steakhouse is probably a tie between ruth's chris and vic & anthony's. we also got the side sampler, which we got creamed corn, spinach&mushrooms, and mac & cheese w/ green chiles. all three were really good. however, i feel like the mac & cheese would've been very average if not for the green chiles. i also felt the side sampler portions were slightly small for the price, but we were very full nonetheless. for dessert, we got dulce de leche, and it was delicious. it was also complimentary, as it was our anniversary. only been in okc for several months now, and have eaten at only one other nice steakhouse (red prime). i felt the ranch was much better quality food.

a miss.... service was excellent and i liked the lodge type atmosphere. kind of country meets clint eastwood. the bread was very sustainable. the steak, not so much. i had the rib eye. it was bland. arrived at the table cooked correctly and unknown to me, was served on an extraordinarily hot plate where it continued to cook throughout my meal. by the time i took my last bite it had gone from medium (yum) to well (hockey puck). my wife didn't fare much better. i also scorched my finger on the plate.
wine list is extensive. price for value not doing it for me. it was disappointing b/c i had heard very good things about the food.

not worth the money; bland. my husband and i went for new years eve and both ordered steaks. our check was about $130 and we both commented when we got in the car after eating there that we would have been more satisfied having eaten at charleston's for $50. our steaks were bland. very disappointing.

bad family dinner. steak was horrible, lobster was overcooked, lobster bisque was seasoned by a novice, it was so over salted i couldn't stomach it, tasted like it came out of a can. quite laughable for the price of the food and the wing dings cooking this low end food my steak didn't even taste choice.

decent place to eat. ranch has decent steaks, service and atmosphere. not as popular as some hot spots so it's easy to get a reservation.

great for special night out. love the ranch...i think they have the best steaks in okc. if you want a steakhouse and focus solely on beef-go here. i have stuck with the bone-in "cowboy" ribeye the last several times i've been and i have not been disappointed. it could easily be split between two people but for some reason i try to take it down myself. my insides don't appreciate it but so worth it.
the place is expensive but it's worth it for a special night out. the smell of the brown butter sauce eminates throughout the restaurant and just gets your tastebuds watering.

highly recommend.

went there for my birthday. not sure how you can screw up a wedge salad, but it was horrible. the french onion soup was so so. i've had better. my boyfriend and i both ordered steaks. my filet was not great, and he barely touched his bone in steak. nothing to write home about, and definitely not worth the $200 we spent.

favorite restaurant in okc? maybe!. i have been to the ranch steakhouse a total of about 5x. a few times i have gone with my husband and a few with friends, and i have never gotten bad food or service here.

recently, last wednesday my husband and i went on a double date with our friends (another couple) and had a wonderful evening. i made reservations at 8:30pm and requested a booth and that's what we got!

anyways.. onto the food! i had the 7oz filet mignon cooked medium rare and a baked sweet potato with brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter. my filet was cooked perfectly! make sure to order one level down from what your liking is, because the steaks come on a 360 degree hot plate. mines was cooked rare when i first got it, but it kept cooking on the plate and then became medium rare which was perfectly fine with me. the baked sweet potato was huge! but, i loved it so much that i was happy to get a large portion. the sides average around 8 dollars a la carte, but they give you family sized portions. i honestly think i liked the sweet potato more than my filet even though the filet was the best steak i had ever had! if you order the filet mignon you won't need a steak knife, just a butter knife! it's that melt in your mouth tender! but, enough with my food..

my husband had the 14oz ribeye as usual medium rare and a side of sauteed mushrooms. his ribeye was amazing but the mushrooms were nothing special just salted button mushrooms thrown around in a pan, that's all.. our friends had the beef medallions and the duck also cooked medium rare, and they seemed to love their entrees as well since everyone pretty much finished their plates if not cleaned it completely.

for dessert we all shared the dulce dulce de leche ice cream pie which was caramel ice cream, chocolate ganache, toasted marshmallows, on a graham cracker crust, it was heaven! we also had the carnegie deli cheesecake from ny with lemon curd and blueberry compote. the lemon curd was absolutely divine!

the service was extremely friendly as usual and our server was very knowledgeable and polite, but ridiculously slow. it wasn't a big deal though since our food came out tasting more than delicious. however, he did manage to accidently put one of my friends food items on our tab, but it wasn't anything to cry about, just wouldn't expect any mistakes happening at a restaurant of this caliber. i'd expect simple mistakes like this at a cheesecake factory, but not at the ranch but then again.. we all make mistakes, lol!

overall, everyone had a great evening and we will definitely come back! the ranch steakhouse is the best steakhouse in okc!
