i come here several times, the staff is always friendly and the service is good.
it's a little traditional japanese ramen restaurant, but i feel cozy and quiet. i enjoy eating here.
every time i order spicy miso soup ramen and my partner orders normal miso soup ramen. they put white sesame in a little bowel next to the noodle. you will smell a light aroma of sesame after grinding it, and then put them into the noodle and mix them. wow, so beasutiful......

my friend and i came here yesterday at 5:30pm and the place was almost empty but as we were leaving the place was packed. very delicious and tasty and the noodles are like instant noodles. but the broth for the gyokai ramen was the best and it tasted very good with the noodles. but the egg was too uncooked for my liking because the yolk tasted too slimy in a way. overall very yummy but i still dont know what the seasme is used really because my friend got it for miso ramen.

i had come to this place few time and so far so good. but i'm very disappointed for my lunch today, i and my partners had ordered the same dish pork miso ramen. after my partner already take half bowl, mine one haven't came, i know they missed my order and reminded them, but until my partner finished the meal, was already past half an hour they still not prepared for me. i really can't understand they know had make the wrong mistake to my order but stills keep my order to last while they just need 3 minutes to prepare the meal. i wait 45 minutes in this place for just only need 3 minutes time to prepare my meal. is really bad service. the problem is when the meal is ready, the presentation is so bad and they forgot to put some side dish inside. i go with happy mood but go with very bad mood and i'm sure this will be my last time to be here.

what could be more perfect on a cold winter's night than a big bowl of steaming soupy ramen! service is always good, food comes out quickly and prices reasonable. even the most basic ramen is super filling but there are options to add on more meat etc, or other sides like a soft boiled egg if you wish. they also have a rice bowl option which i definitely need to come back for.

i order the pork belly reman and vegetable dumpling~the dumpling taste a little bit bitter because of the cabbage ……i don't like this. the soup of noodle is rich in flavor ,really nice. but the pork belly and bbq pork are flavorless and chewy ……i really don't understand how it could be chef recommend?

hands down the best ramen in auckland, and to be honest i can't imagine it getting any better than this. the ramen is consistently delicious with a very unique smokey miso broth, sesame seeds on the side, and excellent presentation. there is also always hot green tea on tap.

we had spicy miso based ramen & basic miso based ramen. and takoyaki as the side.
both were so flavorful, the own-ground sesame seeds gave an extra kick of the ramen. the portion is a bit too big for me, but just fine compared to its price.
definitely a good place for dinner in the cold weather 💕

i had been wanting to try ramen do ever since it was recommended to me as one of the top ramen spots in auckland.

my friend and i were not disappointed in the least when we dropped by today for lunch. the mukashi pork ramen was delicious; the broth, topping, and noodles were all on point. i would say the ramen noodles were on par with the ones at tanpopo ramen. the texture was just right, and it tasted fresh with a slightly eggy flavour (in a good way).

there’s a pretty good range of ramen dishes that are well-priced, with the option to add extra meat for only $2 extra. the menu also tells you what the soup base is made of, in case you have dietary requirements. while ramen do can be a little crowded even at off-peak times, i'm definitely keen to come back and make this my new go-to ramen bar.

as a big fan of ramen, i have been eyeing this place up and j finally had a chance to try today.
my friend and i ordered hokkaido spicy miso ramen with extra pork, spicy shrimp ramen with corns and cha mayo (tuna mayo onigiri)

despite all the hype about this place, i didnt quite enjoy my miso ramen. the soup was covered with overly fried vegetable flavour (burnt flavour). this kinda oily burnt flavour goes well with seafood noodles but not with pork noodles. the soup was too salty. the saltiness is still on my tongue right now as i am writing this review 1 and a half hours after the meal. they said noodles are handmade but hmmm.. i am sorry to say but noodle's texture was just like instant ramen.
cha mayo was just bland.i love japanese mayonnaise. i don't know what mayo they use but it was really bland.

i am not saying the ramen was terrible but its definitely not the best ramen in town.
the presentation of the ramen was good. the portion was generous too.
i still think maruten ramen does a whole lot better ramen than this place.

this place is quite small and you definitely do not visit for the atmosphere, but boy do they serve good food.

my sister had the teriyaki chicken don which she could not be happier with, the sauce was rich and delicious . i had the spicy miso pork ramen. the pork was very tender, and the miso soup base packed a punch. the best part was definitely their noodles, which were homemade and had the perfect springy texture. i was also delighted at the generous portion size, and how it was served with a soft boiled egg & sesame.

my only complaint was that service was really slow, it took a long while before we were attended to, probably because they were too busy.

still, they serve the kind of food that you would want to come back to for comfort grabs, especially on cold winter days.

one of the best ramen experiences i've had in auckland, taking top spot in my price-portion-taste ratio preference!

their broth was jam packed with flavour. i ordered the hokkaido miso ramen and opted for the spicy one with extra bbq pork and pork belly and my friend had the traditional soy sauce base one- both were sooo differently delicious. the traditional ramen was light and almost refreshing in contrast to my thick, filling and flavoursome miso ramen.

from the photos you can see they give you a decent amount of meat and just good portions of everything else. come here hungry because i was struggling to finish my one. just overall very delicious and did not disappoint- a must try ramen restaurant!

nice food and great service.

i ordered the spicy miso ramen with extra meat and it was very tasty. the menu has quite a few options but they appear quite similar. seems very authentic though.

staff were polite and attentive.

came here expecting really good ramen but was super disappointed. my girlfriend and i both ordered the miso ramen plus the agedashi tofu when we came here last week. the presentation for the ramen was 10/10 but the taste was below average. the miso soup was extremely bland and clouded with the taste of greasy and over fried vegetables, making it extremely unpleasant to eat. the ramen was alright however, and the portion size quite big. the charsiu pork which came with the ramen was again very bland, despite the store hyping on facebook how they've made it themselves. the agedashi tofu was coated in thick batter which, when paired with the broth (very thick and overly salty), made it slimy and not nice to eat.

the service and environment was good however, but the food quality is defiantly not worth us coming back a second time.

we had the ramen with extra meat but it turn out to be excessive noodle comparing to another ingredients
takoyaki was too much flour and only 3 small pieces of octopus.
chicken terriyaki don was average
the best was plum wine

ramen do is one of my regular ramen go to place. the place is small but the food packs a punch. i normally order their spicy miso ramen or their tsuke men. i also love their agedashi tofu. their portions are generally pretty generous, with lots of vegetables and rich broth. highly recommended!
