last week we visited ramen do after we read the positive reviews on zomato. we ordered two of their most popular ramens plus takoyaki. the miso ramen had a nice but not overpowering broth, while the chicken baitan ramen was pretty average. we would give a rating of 3.5 based on the ramens. what really dragged the rating down were the takoyaki and their follow up service. we were first served with a dish of lukewarm takoyaki. i picked up one and took a bite and it was raw inside, my friend's takoyaki was okay. so we showed both of our half-eaten takoyaki's to the waitress, who politely asked us to put the half-eaten takoyaki back to the plate. what she brought back to us a couple of minutes later really disgusted us: the same dish of takoyaki with two half-eaten ones on each side of the plate. first, i simply couldn't tell which one i had taken a bite; second, properly prepared takoyaki was supposed to be crispy outside and piping hot and soft inside, but since they had already poured sauce and mayonnaise on the top, they would become soggy if put back to the microwave to cook - but the kitchen did it, just to save that 4 takoyaki balls. we couldn't believe they did this and dared to present the same dish to their customers. so after the waitress confirmed that it had been put back to the microwave, i asked to cancel the order, but the waitress was hesitant and said, "you cannot cancel the order" (i believe she thought we cancelled the order just because it had been cooked with microwave, yes we prefer takoyaki's properly cooked on a takoyaki pan, but what we were served the second time was not even edible, let alone the cooking skills that they lack) but she then offered to ask the kitchen and see if the order could be cancelled. strangely enough, without getting back to us to communicate their decision, the other waiter brought an "extra" serve of takoyaki 10 mins later to our neighboring table, then we realized it was for us, and the waiter then said something like "our takoyaki's are cooked with microwave and there is no problem cooking them this way." i had no idea what went wrong with their communication from our table to the kitchen, but we were absolutely appalled by their poor service and concerned about their hygiene knowledge and culinary skills - you never serve your customers with half-eaten takoyaki's! just because they were put back to the microwave and were 100% cooked it doesn't mean they together with the soggy tskoyaki's were okay to be served on the dining table again! i have to say that dish of takoyaki had completely ruined our appetites, and when the noodles were served later, we became dubious of every suspicious ingredient in thebroth- such as the blackened sesame oil with charcoal-like "ground black sesame" (black sesame should have a white/lighter color inside) in the white chicken broth. we really hope they held their "professionalism" and had nothing "extra" added to our noodle broths because we refused to have their miserable half-eaten and soggy takoyaki's.
