rating based on our favourite dishes at this little eatery: the hokkaido miso ramen and the tsukemen - probably the best ramen we have had in auckland. we keep ordering these again and again, so haven't had much chance to try to rest of the menu.

while you can pay for extra toppings, we found these noodle meals to be more than enoughfoodalready. and we love the marinated egg halves that come with them, with the yolk translucent and just barely set.

you can read more about this restaurant and check our some extra pictures at http://nomnompanda.blogspot.co.nz/2014/05/review-ramen-do-eden-terrace.html

had lunch here recently with a friend . non fuss spot for ramen .i really like it ,large reasonable portions but more noodles to extras good to have on a cold day. you can tell they make their noodles and broth ,felt very much so likefoodmade for a home. i had the pork belly ramen ,a slight smaller portion with plenty pork but could have had more veg . my friend had the miso ramen ,much larger portion and looked good would recommend this . and had the agadashi tofu served more in a broth than used to but very good too. great lunch spot for a filling lunch

i had the large pork paitan salt ramen with 4 slices of bbq pork. the soup is lightly flavoured and has a light creaminess to it. the flavour of the soup has a light umaminess to it which is not porky at all in my opinion. it is more closer to chicken soup with a background pork flavour to it. it is like with certain dishes, you don't taste a certain spice but it is there which adds to the complexity of the overall flavour. because it was suppose to be a pork base soup, i hoped it would be more porky.

the noodle are good as always - thin and chewy/springy but it needs to be eaten as quick as possible as it starts to get slight soggy over time if you let it sit in the soup.

the cha shu is slightly tough and dry but alright. i prefer a melt in your mouth kind of cha shu that has some fattiness to it but not too much and has been slow cooked to make it really soft.

the ramen egg was cooked to perfection; soft egg white with creamy yolk which is commendable because some ramen shops in auckland cook the egg all the way through till it becomes a hard boil egg which is not what i'd want in a bowl of ramen. however the egg lacked the soya sauce seasoning flavour.

i would not eat this again as i prefer a richer pork based soup but i will be back to try their other ramens.

its honestly alright. i was told its “one of the best ramen places in auckland” but maybe that person didn’t have as much ramen as i do? not sure😂 the customer service is good, nothing special, they are kind and respectful, welcomed my partner and i and as we sat we realised we might not be receiving what we exaaactly came for. the cooking/chefs area is pretty open so you can see whats going on in the background from 3/4 of he restaurant but it makes it look a liiitle messy. if they were able to cover that up or possibly not put as many posters (not heaps anyway) to add to the mess. i came in there with high expectations so maybe that’s influenced my experience since i was told its “the best” :/. thefoodwas 5/10 for me and my boyfriend who’s a little more generous than i am infoodreviewing. the setting was a 8/10, it’s spacious and i like how its open just a tad messy as you can see theres boxes of softdrinks in the background in the picture :) really nice staff though.

i moved into the neighbourhood and ultimately i got excited about this place however i was very disappointed. due to the amount of positive reviews and metro awards, my expectations were set high and after my first bowl of ramen i was feeling low.

the place, the people and thefoodall seem so authentic i thought maybe they were having an off night so i’ve been countless times again in hopes it will improve and i’ll get this 5 star, metro top 50 ramen but sadly this has yet to happen.

it’s good for a quick meal and it’s relatively cheap but when i’m really craving a good deep flavourful rich ramen soup, this is not it. the soup is thick but lacks the flavour you expect from a thick creamy soup.
i’ll continue to dine here when i just want an easy meal or feeling like something warm but personally, i don’t get it.

went there today after reading about it on the news. the place is packed. fried dumpling lacked seasoning and the squid balls are too soft on the outside. ramen wise is ok, big portion with reasonable price, can add lots of other toppings. soup wise i prefer it to be little less thicker. miso is not that strong too. overall thefoodis average. service however is excellent.

we stopped in for lunch today and it was such a cute little place, and cheap too.
thefoodwas really good and filling - so definitely value for money. the portion sizes are quite large, i don't think most people were able to finish their meals, but in a good way!
i had the tofu donburi which was yum! so here's a cute little photo of my meal too

not really mah taste of ramen. the service is good, this place seems packed during dining hours. the ramen soup and the egg taste really nice, but the meat is just pure of fatness.

thefoodportion is good. the side dishes are meh. seems like a popular place but not my first choice in town for ramen.

man this place how do i say it. it is definitely a gem in my personal opinion. the ramen here is quite clean and has a lot of depth to it. i got the large miso ramen with extra pork and it was really filling and extremely good. the egg which was included is cooked perfectly and the noodles were on point. the wait time forfoodisnt too long (prob takes around 5ish min?) and it has a nice atmosphere. one added little gimmick they have is also a porter and pestle with some sesame seeds for you to freshly grind and add it to the ramen (you can choose not to do so as well of course) but it makes a big difference having it freshly ground up and put in ^3^

the best ramen i've had in new zealand, with tastyfoodand great service. the atmosphere is calm and clean. the vegetable ramen comes with a healthy serve of veges, but has a fish base, so is not fully vegetarian. the best and only vegan option is the fried noodles, which are tasty. i highly rate ramen do and its my go-to!

what could be more perfect on a cold winter's night than a big bowl of steaming soupy ramen! service is always good, foodcomes out quickly and prices reasonable. even the most basic ramen is super filling but there are options to add on more meat etc, or other sides like a soft boiled egg if you wish. they also have a rice bowl option which i definitely need to come back for.

service: 5/5

this place is quite small and you definitely do not visit for the atmosphere, but boy do they serve good food.

my sister had the teriyaki chicken don which she could not be happier with, the sauce was rich and delicious . i had the spicy miso pork ramen. the pork was very tender, and the miso soup base packed a punch. the best part was definitely their noodles, which were homemade and had the perfect springy texture. i was also delighted at the generous portion size, and how it was served with a soft boiled egg & sesame.

my only complaint was that service was really slow, it took a long while before we were attended to, probably because they were too busy.

still, they serve the kind offoodthat you would want to come back to for comfort grabs, especially on cold winter days.
