railhead smokehouse

after angelo's, this is my joint. good sides, strong ribs and my wife loves their chix. love to eat out doors here.

nothing fancy (it is a bbq joint) but fantastic ribs and good brisket. very cold bear. coleslaw not to my taste though.

railhouse in ft worth. i will never go ther again you spend 20 min outside inline and then when you get your food it not to your expectation .who ever heard of putting mustard pickle onion on a barbque sandwish.it was dry and the meat was so thin you couldnt get full off it and the bun to small for the sandwich i couldnt beleive i sit in the running burning my gas and a/c for that small $4.00 1/2as sandwich iam so mad .then when you try to call them to tell them about their they just pick up the phone and wont say nothing and you hanfing on the phone i took a photo of that sanwich iam going to put it on utube.the next time i want barbque iam going to robinson, where the meat so thick and moist and good and barbque sauce off the chain and it worth the money and drive.well why i dint go there i was closer to railhead huge mistake all they care about is the money not the customer are they poor service of how they treat you while out in the hot sun they wouldnt offer you a glass of water for the wait 20minute wait outside.it get thumb down

great food. had the slice beef sandwich with the fixin's. an order of fries covered in sautéed onions. yum. great place to eat.

stopped by here for lunch, good bbq. tried to sample several items. they had a rib special today, 4-6 ribs, two side or fries and drink for $7.95. i opted for 1/4lb of brisket, 1/4lb of sausage and shared some turkey. the sausage was really good, great flavor. the turkey was also very flavorfull, nice smoke really moist. brisket was ok, i had a few pieces that were hard and very dry. ribs were good, lacked a good rub flavor for me and needed a little more smoke. lots of meat and they pulled away from the bone nicely, a definate plus. sides were ok, similar to most other bbq places.

somewhat disappointing. numerous positive reviews prompted us to visit for a weekday lunch of barbecue basics (brisket, beans, and potato salad). of these, only the pinto beans were a real winner. the tough, stringy brisket was lacking in flavor and was only slightly improved by a carefully rationed portion of sauce. potato salad was visually appealing but also lacking in flavor. condiment availability (peppers, pickles, onion, etc.) was quite limited. with so many good barbecue places in the area, this is not high on our list for a return visit.

big beer joint - with bbq inside. looks great. spare rib: smoky, very tender, good marbling, very tasty brisket: perfect flavor, perfect texture, spicy, perfect overall: quality varied, but the core of ribs & brisket ruled. main fare:  8 other fare:  4

outstanding service, amazing food,cold beer....what more could you ask for. this is a great place to get bbq!!! i would recommend that if you are looking for some great bbq, this is your place.

i thought this might be a decent place to pu a quick lunch. wrong. for 7$ i got an overcooked potato, a drink that was all ice, no condiments. i feel like i was robbed. never going back.....angelo's be my choice.

wonderful place has never let me down chicken there is fantastic! love going after a gun show or the stock show but gets packed so be ready. but food those nights is exceptional

great brisket and ribs. the sides are very disappointing. the fries aren't ever hot. the beans are average at best. the meats rule the day. closed on sunday. has a drive thru.

i went for all meats for my lunch, and it was ok.
slice brisket: i asked for "moist", got more lean than moist. it was damn good roast beef and very well cooked but not smoked well.
bologna: nice, but not smokey.
salami: very good char and quite tasty and i'm going to pay for all that sodium later lol

if you like soggy fries try their fries&onions (get a small unless there are 4-5-6 of you sharing.

how did this place get so famous?. i am amazed that a place that serves mediocre food by indifferent servers in a building that smells like someone used pine sol to cover up a heavy urine smell is so famous.

excellent ribs, brisket, sausage, everything!. love, love their barbeque. but if you are going to the one in willow park, please know that the service time through the drive through window is horrible!!! i have been through before where i was the 3rd vehicle in line and it still took 30 minutes to receive my order. they just can't get it together like the one on montgomery! i live in weatherford and would probably stop by on my way home at least once a week. as a result, i might stop once every other month. sorry railhead, but you are missing some major business by not only me, but several of my co-workers. let me know if you ever get it together out there!

i keep calling, trying to buy a giftcard for a xmas present, but no one will answer the phone.
