there are no words.... this place is wonderful, and i still feel that isn't enough. for a couple who has little experience in the restaurant business, they're naturals. they have fantastic food and a solid model to work with, you don't see that often in albuquerque; with that said, this place should be around for years to come. by the way, if you're planning a 'game of thrones' party, or just want something tasty and filling, this is it. you won't be sorry. ***be sure to call a head if you're placing a large order (i.e. 4+).***

best place to eat in albuquerque. i'm in love with this restaurant!! a different taste of food for new mexico. great food and service! i can eat the aji sauce on everything...

great food at a very reasonable price. the lucuma ice cream is excellent and home made. the lomo saltado had very good flavor and the beef was tender. overall a great experience.

delight. had lunch with friends today at pollitos con papas and it was very good! it was my first time there but definitely not the last. service was fast, friendly, and fresh....highly recommend.

this place rocks!. my daughter was in town visiting from seattle and we passed this place. she asked if i ever had peruvian food before. no. she said you're missing out. so the next day we went there for lunch and she did the ordering. this place rocks! very quaint but the chicken has such great flavors and the stuffed potato is to die for. you will not be disappointed! now one of my favorite places in the city.

surprisingly great!. i guess lunchtime there is the devil and you are waiting in line for a while... i went at dinner time and was greeted by the owner and his wife. there was a small inflow of people coming to pickup orders to go on a constant basis but the dinning room was deserted. to be honest at first glance this scared me as normally an empty business is a bad business. i am happy to inform you that it was a great experience. the place was clean and presentable and while i did not visit the restroom if it had the same standards as the dinning hall i am sure it was clean! i was greeted by the owners coming in and once they found out i was not one of their take out costumers they asked me to sit down. they brought me the menu but since i had never been there i told them what i wanted and they pointed it out on the menu. i ended up getting a half chicken with fries. the meat was tender and tasty... seasoned to perfection. the real surprise was that the white meat was tender and juicy ... not just the dark meat. the fries were hand cut and were baked to perfection. while my experience will probably not be the same as yours having the owner guide you through the menu and bring you samples of yuca was just enriching. i learned alot of peruvian culture (his wife was there talking me through the menu also) and i got to sample some amazing cuisine. the prices are very reasonable with my whole meal coming in at less than 11 dollars. i did have water instead of drinks but the owner brought me out a peruvian cola ( tasted like champagne mixed with sprite... i did not like it but this is not a reflection on the food there... its a pre-bottled drink he sells just like if they have pepsi and you are a coke guy) which i did not like... then he had me taste a small sample of a local drink from peru. while it was too sweet for my taste buds to drink more than a small cup it was very tasty and smelled great (something like a fruity wine without alcohol). this was an absolutely positive experience. when i am in a new city (i travel alot for work) i love to come scoop out reviews here and find the mom and pop places that have great food. i can wholeheartedly recommend this place. again... my experience was above reproach as i was served by the owner but it sure was worth it for the food alone. on a side note he gave me some spicy sauces to try with the yuca. they were also great and the fried yuca was something i had not had in years and it was awesome! i might go back tomorrow for lunch before i leave abq.

i am from peru and was thrilled to find this place! the food was delicious and the flavors brought back so many good memories! i will be back!

great food!!. i have eaten here about 3 times and the food has always been spectacular! the quality is top notch and service is suburb. the prices and the quantity of the meals are perfect. the owners always great you with smiles provide a comfortable place to dine.

best chicken in abq. i've never had anything like this place. easily the best chicken i've ever tasted!! if you're in town be sure to make a stop here

amazing!. i first found out about pollitos about a year ago. i have been going regularly and have always had the most amazing meals. the cooking is as good as my mom's and i don't say that lightly. the regular menu is great, but if there are specials, be sure to check them out. my favorite is the chancho y arroz verde. nom. nom. nom.

wonderful!. first visit last night will not be my last! everything was delicious. i am hooked on aji and the stuffed potato is killer! awesome service and friendly owners and staff. love, love, loved it!

amazing!. a coworker led us to this amazing restaurant. the stuffed potatoes are a work of art, in my opinion. perfectly fried, golden brown, light with a slight crispy outside. the chickens' great as well, and the aji sauce is very tasty. the owners are wonderful people too. i'm so happy i went.

i love this place! i've been three times so far and the quality and service are as good as it gets. today my wife and i split the chicken thigh, papas and chimichanga and all was delicious as always. the owners are extremely friendly and even personally come to the table to make sure you're doing well.
