bring cash for great chicken. i love this place (hence the venue review!) but wanted to give a heads up that you should do a few things to ensure adeliciouschicken experience: call ahead if you'll be there during lunch or dinner hours in case they are running low, and bring cash.

the oh-so-friendly owners do not take credit, and in a pinch you can go across the street to the grocery store which has an atm inside. for what it's worth, the guy actually asked me if i lived nearby and would be coming back again and was going to let me do an iou for the food. i of course turned him down but man, what trust and enthusiasm!!!

their food wasdeliciousand their service was amazing. their chicken was the best chicken i've had since i moved to albuquerque from peru. i loved the classical music that was playing. honestly one of my favorite restaurants in town. i highly recommend this for great food at a good price.

outstanding food and service. the stuffed potatoes are delicious--they have one with chicken and a vegetarian version. the place is always busy at lunch but they still manage to get the orders out quickly. the chicken has adelicioussmoky flavor that is quite unique. once you have tried this place you will want to come back for more.

i love this place! i've been three times so far and the quality and service are as good as it gets. today my wife and i split the chicken thigh, papas and chimichanga and all wasdeliciousas always. the owners are extremely friendly and even personally come to the table to make sure you're doing well.

the best hidden treasure in albuquerque! my husband goes during the work week and raves about it. i finally had a chance to go and fell in love with the simple but thoroughlydeliciousmenu. the family run establishment has only fresh ingredients and inca kola is the best finishing drink! it is a new go to place for me.

great food for a great price!. i stopped into pollito con papas today for lunch after driving by numerous times and wondering how the food was. i am definitely glad that i finally stopped in! the chicken was great, the owner was amazingly friendly, and the experience was the highlight of my week. i ordered the #5, chicken stuffed potatoes. the meal was inexpensive anddeliciousand the highlight was definitely the aji sauce--a must try! i highly recommend this place, i will be back!

a taste of home.... very impressed with the food and the owners! the buffet isdeliciouswith a bit of everything from peru! a great place to take the family and you can even play sapo! what more can u ask for you say? una pilsen!!!
i happened to encounter a homeless outside of the restaurant and kindly asked for half my take order to be put ina separate container so i can give it to him. the generous owners wouldn't think of it and actually made a take out container for him! now that's beyond my expectations! loved that and it made the drive out there worthwhile!

great chicken. pollito con papas recently acquired a peruvian rotisserie oven. their chicken was good before, but now its amazing. the chicken is perfectly roasted on the outside and deliciously juicy on the inside--just like they do it in peru! the flavors are authentic, with some personal touches.

the real deal!. i am a peruvian and love this restarurant. when i heard that a peruvian polleria had recently opened, i was skeptical. albuquerque is not known for having a large peruvian population. i decided to try it out anyway. not only is it real peruvian style pollo a la brasa, it was amazing. their pollo is perfectly seasoned, and is accompanied by peruvian style fries which you will not find anywhere else in nm. their aji (hotsauce) tastes amazing. it tastes just as good or better than what i have had in most restaurants in peru. the owner also makes really good arroz con leche anddeliciousalfajores.

for those of you who are foodies and know or have heard about peruvian food-- you have to eat here. you will not be disappointed and you will be coming back. i just hope that eventually they start adding more peruvian dishes to their menu.

the real thing. if you've ever been to peru, you would know this is the real thing. their chicken with fries, and aji is delicious. but it's not that, that makes this place special. they've started doing a buffet on saturdays that's every peruvian dishes you could want. from tallarin verde to carapulca, and to top it all off they have chicha morada! a drink i hadn't had made fresh from the corn in years. if you don't know peruvian food, and just want somedeliciouschicken their prices are more then fair for what you get.

riquisimmmo. one of mostdeliciousadditions to the albuquerque restaurant scene and certainly one the most novel is pollito con papas. after two visits to this peruvian restaurant it has become our favorite dining spot. peruvians have over 4000 varieties of potatoes and here they server potatoes with cream sauce, potatoes with meat and light mashed potatoes stuffed with a meat filling. their piece de resistance is the marinated chicken. buen provecho.

pollito con papas is a must try! was recommended by my husbands coworkers, and i must say i was very impressed. warm atmosphere, kind ppl, and the mostdeliciouschicken i've ever eaten. i can't say enough good things about this cozy little restaurant. it's my new favorite and i will keep going at least once a week for as long as its open. try it yourself your taste buds and your wallet will thank you.
