never expected a restaurant like this in abq. their chicken chimichangas and chicken breast are delicious. very inexpensive andgoodflavor. their credit card machine was out when we got there, so only took cash, which was a bummer. quick, prompt service. would recommend!

amazing food!!!. you must try this place if you are a food eater! tasted it at a small function at my school, then went myself to try for real with my husband. everything we had made our taste buds sing! the chicken is marinated and grilled to perfection, the potatoes are crispy and delightful, and the aji sauce is incredible!!! the owner suggested i try the stuffed potatoes as well, and he was right - they are sogood- like a peruvian version of chicken pot pie. even the pickled onions that go with them are the perfect accompaniment. no matter where you live in abq - make the trip here. you will be very happy you did! plan to be back often!

their food was delicious and their service was amazing. their chicken was the best chicken i've had since i moved to albuquerque from peru. i loved the classical music that was playing. honestly one of my favorite restaurants in town. i highly recommend this for great food at agoodprice.

this place has the best chicken i've ever had! it's very fresh and even the breasts are juicy. it's cooked to perfection on the grill so it's not greasy at all and the skin is crisp. the aji sauce was amazing, i had heard that it wasgoodfrom a peruvian friend but it was better than i imagined. the owners were also friendly, i really liked this place!

great food at a very reasonable price. the lucuma ice cream is excellent and home made. the lomo saltado had verygoodflavor and the beef was tender. overall a great experience.

amazing!. i first found out about pollitos about a year ago. i have been going regularly and have always had the most amazing meals. the cooking is asgoodas my mom's and i don't say that lightly. the regular menu is great, but if there are specials, be sure to check them out. my favorite is the chancho y arroz verde. nom. nom. nom.

i love this place! i've been three times so far and the quality and service are asgoodas it gets. today my wife and i split the chicken thigh, papas and chimichanga and all was delicious as always. the owners are extremely friendly and even personally come to the table to make sure you're doing well.

amazing. we came to this place on the suggestion of my sister, who'd been told of the restaurant by several of her coworkers. driving up, the building isn't much to look at-which can only mean that the food is ridiculously good, in my opinion.
the owner came to our table and suggested that we allow him to just 'bring things out'-a seriouslygoodsuggestion:
1-fried yucca with aji sauce (better than fries, i think)
2-chimichanga stuffed with highly seasoned chicken...and more aji on the side
3-potato croquettes, coated with yucca flour and stuffed with...i guess it's a peruvian chicken picadillo, served with pickled onions on the side
4-chicken platter: one whole marinated chicken, with the most amazing skin i have ever experienced, and several pieces of boneless chicken thighs, served over handcut fries. more aji accompanied this, as well as a hotter version (rocoto)
i washed all of this down with an inca gold soda...looks like mountain dew, tastes like bubble gum
the service was very fast and pleasant, the owner very informative (aside from the fact that he wouldn't divulge the recipe for the aji sauce), and the whole experience very comfortable
i can see this becoming a weekly thing for this household

excellent food and service. had lunch there today and the food was excellent, although the chicken thighs were a bit dry they were very tasty. the potato stuffed with chicken is a revelation and the chimichanga was verygoodwithout being greasy and the aji is wonderful.
the menu is simple but what they do make they get right. the service at first was slow, but then the owner came and apologized for the wait and offered us a chimichanga on the house to try. now that is something different in abq. we didn't complain and the management bothered to notice what was going on, i was very impressed by this.
the food here is simple, but very very good.

my boyfriend and i tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. neither of us have ever had peruvian food but it was close to his work and hadgoodreviews and seemed affordable. the owner waited on us, described the menu and was passionate about his business. this restaurant is new to the area and has a mom and pop authentic feel to it. the menu is simple with under 20menu items including sides and desserts. we tried nearly everything they offered between the two of us and could not decide what we liked best. my bf is not a fan of ethnic or complex dishes and he loved this place, even joking that he wanted to work there. we will definitely return to sample the saturday lunch buffet which they say offers a new variety of peruvian dishes not in their regular menu. you will not be disappointed with pollito con papas. try it if you get the chance!

great chicken. pollito con papas recently acquired a peruvian rotisserie oven. their chicken wasgoodbefore, but now its amazing. the chicken is perfectly roasted on the outside and deliciously juicy on the inside--just like they do it in peru! the flavors are authentic, with some personal touches.

the real deal!. i am a peruvian and love this restarurant. when i heard that a peruvian polleria had recently opened, i was skeptical. albuquerque is not known for having a large peruvian population. i decided to try it out anyway. not only is it real peruvian style pollo a la brasa, it was amazing. their pollo is perfectly seasoned, and is accompanied by peruvian style fries which you will not find anywhere else in nm. their aji (hotsauce) tastes amazing. it tastes just asgoodor better than what i have had in most restaurants in peru. the owner also makes reallygoodarroz con leche and delicious alfajores.

for those of you who are foodies and know or have heard about peruvian food-- you have to eat here. you will not be disappointed and you will be coming back. i just hope that eventually they start adding more peruvian dishes to their menu.

pollito con papas is a must try! was recommended by my husbands coworkers, and i must say i was very impressed. warm atmosphere, kind ppl, and the most delicious chicken i've ever eaten. i can't say enoughgoodthings about this cozy little restaurant. it's my new favorite and i will keep going at least once a week for as long as its open. try it yourself your taste buds and your wallet will thank you.
