check this place out!!!. fellow foodies, do yourselves a favor and go to pollitoconpapas. the service is friendly, the environment comfortable and the food is out of this world!! just be sure to take cash and your patience when you park. i ordered a variety of chicken, papitas and chimichangas and my family polished it all off in a matter of minutes. the owners are really good people, and this city needs more places like this one to survive and flourish. you won't go wrong no matter what you order!!

great peruvian chicken. this restaurant makes great peruvian chicken. this meal brought back great childhood memories of my mother's pollo a la brasa. pollitoconpapas makes the best chicken i have had in albuquerque. great place to get take out from. will plan to visit often, and take my mom there when she comes and visits from dallas.

peruvian treat. i have had the pleasure of enjoying at least 5 times the outstanding grilled peruvian chicken, fries and exquisite creamy jalapeno dipping sauce from this restaurant. they offer both grilled and rotisserie chicken, and on occassion mesquitte smoked chicken. the 18 hour marinated chicken provides a unique flavor that produces juicy, succulent pieces of chicken.

i highly recommend that you treat your self and friends to a rewarding dinning experience from pollitoconpapas.

delight. had lunch with friends today at pollitosconpapas and it was very good! it was my first time there but definitely not the last. service was fast, friendly, and fresh....highly recommend.

pollitoconpapas excellent food and gf friendly. four of us ate at pollitoconpapas july 15th. they were out of the whole roasted chickens. we ate # 1 which is chicken thighs with papas (fries). their mash potato balls stuffed with chicken were truly amazing. pollitoconpapas really knows how to fry food. nothing is greasy. i usually get indigestion from fried food and i felt fantastic after eating their papas and the stuffed mashed potato ball stuffed with chicken. the mashed potato ball is sprinkled with yuca flour. this is a great restaurant for gluten free eating since they have fried yuca and the potato ball has no wheat flour.

my boyfriend and i tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. neither of us have ever had peruvian food but it was close to his work and had good reviews and seemed affordable. the owner waited on us, described the menu and was passionate about his business. this restaurant is new to the area and has a mom and pop authentic feel to it. the menu is simple with under 20menu items including sides and desserts. we tried nearly everything they offered between the two of us and could not decide what we liked best. my bf is not a fan of ethnic or complex dishes and he loved this place, even joking that he wanted to work there. we will definitely return to sample the saturday lunch buffet which they say offers a new variety of peruvian dishes not in their regular menu. you will not be disappointed with pollitoconpapas. try it if you get the chance!

great food for a great price!. i stopped into pollitoconpapas today for lunch after driving by numerous times and wondering how the food was. i am definitely glad that i finally stopped in! the chicken was great, the owner was amazingly friendly, and the experience was the highlight of my week. i ordered the #5, chicken stuffed potatoes. the meal was inexpensive and delicious and the highlight was definitely the aji sauce--a must try! i highly recommend this place, i will be back!

great chicken. pollitoconpapas recently acquired a peruvian rotisserie oven. their chicken was good before, but now its amazing. the chicken is perfectly roasted on the outside and deliciously juicy on the inside--just like they do it in peru! the flavors are authentic, with some personal touches.

the real deal!. i am a peruvian and love this restarurant. when i heard that a peruvian polleria had recently opened, i was skeptical. albuquerque is not known for having a large peruvian population. i decided to try it out anyway. not only is it real peruvian style pollo a la brasa, it was amazing. their pollo is perfectly seasoned, and is accompanied by peruvian style fries which you will not find anywhere else in nm. their aji (hotsauce) tastes amazing. it tastes just as good or better than what i have had in most restaurants in peru. the owner also makes really good arrozconleche and delicious alfajores.

for those of you who are foodies and know or have heard about peruvian food-- you have to eat here. you will not be disappointed and you will be coming back. i just hope that eventually they start adding more peruvian dishes to their menu.

riquisimmmo. one of most delicious additions to the albuquerque restaurant scene and certainly one the most novel is pollitoconpapas. after two visits to this peruvian restaurant it has become our favorite dining spot. peruvians have over 4000 varieties of potatoes and here they server potatoes with cream sauce, potatoes with meat and light mashed potatoes stuffed with a meat filling. their piece de resistance is the marinated chicken. buen provecho.

pollitoconpapas is a must try! was recommended by my husbands coworkers, and i must say i was very impressed. warm atmosphere, kind ppl, and the most delicious chicken i've ever eaten. i can't say enough good things about this cozy little restaurant. it's my new favorite and i will keep going at least once a week for as long as its open. try it yourself your taste buds and your wallet will thank you.

new address. pollitoconpapas is now at 6105 gibson. the new location is quite a bit bigger than the previous one. the chicken is still delicious and the alfajores literally melt in your mouth. i can't wait to go back!

best chicken in town!. the best pollo a la brasa i have tasted in years!

just wonderful!. a small group of us were in the area for a community theater show at the southwest broadway cultural center. we wanted to grab a bite to eat before the show, so i did some research and found myself on urbanspoon. ranked at the top was pollitoconpapas...and rightly so! only going off what i could find online, we were feeling adventurous and wanted to try peruvian cuisine. among the four of us, we have had our fair share of chicken...but it was unanimous that nothing could compare. between us we had the fries, chicken thighs, chimichanga, and the stuffed potato. everything was warm, flavorful, timely, and most importantly delicious. i highly recommend to keep an open mind, especially when it comes to the aji (exclusive creamy sauce). honestly, at first i wasn't sure what i thought of it, very different. however, before i knew it, my tiny drop on top of my chicken turned into a complete smothering over everything. a warning, it has a kick and i felt myself sweating slightly, but definitely worth it for the flavor! only regret is that we didn't try the cookies i read so much about online..oh well! an easy excuse for going again...and again.
two things:
they don't accept any credit or debit cards...so bring cash! the reasonable prices don't make it much of an inconvenience however. also, they are moving to a new location. the wonderful owners (so nice, friendly family oriented, and genuine) told us about the larger place (use to be pho viet) near kirtland af base they are hoping to grow into. i am so excited for them, as i think that area will really become a great support. once they are all moved in, i really really hope you will give them the opportunity to blow your mind with fantastic chicken!!

pollitoconpapas is quite inexpensive - two whole chickens, fries, and that awesome sauce will only set you back 20 bucks. that said, remember to bring cash, because they don't take credit. and don't go on wednesday. but do go. even if the a/c is on the fritz, the charming owners and delicious food will make you glad you stopped by.

today, i drove all the way from the westside to try their chicken and this is by far the best chicken in town! the service was excellent and the price is not bad at all for what you get. you havent tried awesome chicken till youve tried polloconpapas!

great food. i have been to pollitoconpapas five times and i live in rio rancho. it is well worth the drive to me as the food is always fresh and delicious. the owner is a good guy who always makes me feel welcome. last time i was there his wife was making papa rellenos. these were amazing and i hope they are on the menu now. pollitoconpapas has some truely unique flavors which i now crave.
