really?. pizza is good, but president did not make a call. the owner, not frank who never gets credit, said he called "his people" to set it up. good spin on marketing, but wrong information. i'm sure the president can't live without one saint louis take on chicago pizza. frank rules! i should know, i worked there.

good pizza. i'm no expert on chicago deep dish, so i can't say if this place offers authentic chicago pies or whether the crust has the right thickness or whatever. i can, however, say that i enjoyed the pizza we got at pi. the crust was crisp and light, sauce was heavy, ingredients tasted fresh. all in all, a good pizza.
the place is split down the middle with a bar area on one side. atmosphere is nice, trendy, though i didn't find it pretentious. it was nearly full on this thursday night, but we didn't have to wait for a table.
service was fine. prices are a little more than at most pizza places.

worst experience ever. i travel 100 days per year. i eat out 200 times per year. i had my absolute worst dining experience ever at this resaurant.

i was so excited to have deep dish pizza in st. louis as i really love chicago style pizza.

i was served pizza that was ice cold in the middle. it was sent back 2 times and was never fully cooked.

manager and waitress were rude and implied it was my fault my pizza was not hot!

on this third attempt to heat my pizza they said they accidentally dropped it on the floor! by now my date has finished her meal.

then they charged me full price for my meal! ( the one i did not get to eat).

the story goes on more, but suffice to say i will never ever go back to this place.

it's good pizza but not my favorite deep dish and not my favorite in st. louis. price might have something to do with it. it is good for a treat but not my go to pizza joint.

boo!. what a joke. this a posture place. you go here because everyone tells you to, because everyone told them to, even though it's not very good. at all. the first time i ate here it was pretty good. the service has always been sub-par at best, but at least the pizza came out hot and well made. that was when they first opened on delmar. now it's always sloppy, and either uncooked or burned. it's never right. ever since this place blew up with the obama attention and their expansion, the food and service have gone to hell. the servers and hostesses are completely incompetent, and the managers don't seem to help the situation. it's like it's always everyone's first day. boo to pi, and their owner, who obviously thinks being popular is enough to carry a restaurant. the food and service here are definitely going backwards, instead of getting better. used to kind of like, now i really don't.

by far the best gluten free pizza crust i have come by so far. they are very accommodating to dietary needs and my only issue is the price. they do add an extra charge on for the gf crust but for a taste like that, i'll pay it.

worth the wait. with so many choices in st. louis i'm not prone to wait to try the latest hyped place. but last night a friend and i decided to do just that.

we were told a half hour wait which was more like an hour. we reviewed the menu while waiting so we'd be ready to order once seated. we wanted to sit outside but the first open table was inside, nice but loud. smoke-free!

we were both pretty hungry at this point so we each ordered a salad. i had the bada bing. nice mix of flavors, each not lost among the others.

for the pizza we went with a large deep dish berkeley which includes sliced zucchini, mushrooms, peppers, olives, & onion. the sauce was a chunky sweet tomato sauce. the crust was not like most deep dish (chewy bread). it was crunchy and frankly near perfection.

once we ordered our salads came quickly and the pizza not long after we had finished the salads. so the wait time was up front to get seated.

a wonderful experience that i plan to repeat as often as possible!

good food, cool place. i went to the cwe pi after eating at the delmar location several times. completely different decor, but very cool and not as loud as the other locale. the menu also seems slightly different, but i was happy because they still had the blt salad and the awesome bucktown pizza. i don't typically eat leftovers but i definitely bring this "za" home everytime for lunch the next day.

similar to picky i had to wait an hour for a table, but i expected it considering it's high praise from obama who flew the chef back to chicago to cook him dinner. i think it was well worth the wait. this was the best chicago deep dish (in or out of chitown) i ever have eaten. 4 stars

came here with a friend while visiting saint louis and was not disappointed. i love new york style pizza, but i can appreciate a chicago style pizza as well. this one was very good, not too heavy on the cheese or sauce and was surprisingly light. i hate when it's just an overload of cheese and crust, but this was perfect and everything tasted fresh.

service was excellent...i think people came to fill our water glasses like 5 times and when they dropped the check it was picked up almost immediately. they have a good selection of drinks as well, but the pizza is obviously the main attraction here. if i'm ever back in saint louis i'll definitely be getting dinner here one night.

the food is good but the overt police hatred by its owner is thick and palpable. pi was at one point my favorite pizza joint on the us but i sincerely hope it closes its doors forever

i dont know why anyone would eat here. first of all the food is over rated and mostly tastes like cardboard. secondly the staff is smug and unresponsive. there are many better options all over stl.
