the peshawari has its own kind of vibe when it comes to ambiance & food quality.
the dal bukhara over here is so rich in taste prepared in desi ghee.
the veg seekh kebab & the chicken seekh kebab both were s

food was excellent. but service was extremely poor. the restaurant’s staff is not able to manage the customers. few examples - roti bread was served 15 mins after the main course was served, plates are not picked up on time, no one checks for desert orders. service is really poor for the quality of restaurant.

really small portion size, sloppy service, and uncomfortable seating for the price they charge, i would not recommend anyone to go for food, nothing out of the world

unnecessarily overpriced, slow service and the waiters deterred us from ordering things that took time. my father is allergic to amchur and the staff didn't accommodate our request for serving food minus it saying the masala is premade and that we need to tell them about all this a day in advance. one doesn't expect this of a restaurant of this stature; we had to shout out to the waiters everytime we wanted to call for something - they can sure do better. even smaller hotels serve better. not at all worth the money spent + very very limited menu options.

overrated!

the food is average, nothing extraordinary about it, to be honest. i decided to go because of all the hype. the service is very poor, lack of communication between the staff, also too much waiting for every dish to arrive on the table. not at all worth the experience they (try to) provide.

the dishes i tried here were:

dal bhukhara(must-try)
paneer makhani

breads-
roomali roti

fatal attraction

overall the ambience, the food, the staff service was just amazing.

it was the second time that we visited peshawri for dinner. earlier on our visit we had tried the vegetarian flare (tandoori aloo, paneer khurchan, dal bukhara).

this time we went all in with the non vegetarian flare and it was delectable. we ordered murgh tandoori, seek kabab, dal bukhara, rumali rotis and a butter naan.

the quality of the food can definitely be felt. it’s of the the highest quality and every bite is scrumptious where it is vegetarian or non vegetarian.
the portion size too we felt were good for a group of 4 people (we three felt a bit over stuffed 😉).

of all dal bukhara is something that i would always go for. the ghee-mud pot slight flavour is quite apparent and it feels like you are eating a very comfortable meal. just that with dal bukhara the portion size is less (i am not sure if you can ask for a second serving without paying additional). of everything on the menu, this feels slightly cut in the portion size.

rumali roti although in wheat is a bit chewy whereas butter naan is pretty crispy and a delight to eat.

we paid approx 10k for the meal. definitely not disappointed but dal bukhara could have been served in better quantity!!!

for a 5 star restaurant that digs a serious hole in your wallet, the overall experience is just not upto the mark. while food is good, right from seating arrangements to noise levels to the choice of music (indian classical sitar in north west frontier cuisine house) is disappointing. this restaurant is nothing but overrated!!!

expensive but worth the money !
it’s because of the aforementioned reason i have always gone back to peshawari. i am a north indian and love my food. the food here is rich and amazingly delicious. most of my visits have been happy ones. i would highly recommend the meat dishes over seafood.
peshwari kabab, raan, reshmi kabab, barrah kabab are just full of flavours and love.
the famous dal bukhara is to die for and a must try.

went with office colleagues last month. abstly fantastic ambience. good way too good. raan and chicken tikka was just yummmmm. gulab jamun could have been a little less sweater. service was little slow. and that was a weekday.
overall a good experience.

very good indian food

i recently visited peshawri with my family for dinner. the ambience is good. but the seating arrangement is not very comfortable.

we ordered paneer tikka for appetiser. it was very tasty and extremely filling. they serve it in 4 pieces of paneer. each paneer must be around 200-250 grams.

for main course, we ordered paneer khurchan, dal bukhara, onion kulcha, paneer stuffed kulcha and tandoori roti. i loved the onion kulcha.

their servings are pretty good. and the food was also very good overall!

we were here as my friend from s. korea wanted to have indian food, esp. lassi, butter chicken and daal! so this was the best option available to us near the airport as he had to catch the flight back home.
so we were here at 7pm but the restaurant was already full! we could get a place for three with a little wait. anyway ordered food as per his desire but i am a vegetarian so not much choice except paneer khurchan and peshawari daal, their signature dish and garlic naan! but i have no regrets as the food was very tasty. my friend also liked his non veg food too much! so we were all happy in the end!
it's a costly place but worth it!

having heard about this place so many times, i had huge expectations, and it lived up to every single one of it! we ordered the murgh tandoori which was a whole chicken marinated in multiple spices and their signature sikandari raan which is like the whole leg of lamb braised in marinade and then cooked in the tandoor. the murgh tandoori was very tasty, not too spicy, not too subtle, just perfect. but it was the sikandari raan that stole the show! the meat was literally melting in my mouth! it was very succulent, the flavours from the spices, malt vinegar packed a punch and overall was an absolute delight to have! we also ordered the tandoor salad, which was bunch of veggies and paneer with few spices like cumin powder and chaat masala. it was a bit bland and maybe less favorite just because we had the raan on the other side. then we got another signature of theirs, the daal bukhara, which is almost cooked for close to 24+ hours, and tandoori naan. the daal was cooked to perfection but the naan seemed chewy. quantity, taste, ambience, service, everything is fabulous, worth every single penny! no matter what you order, sikandari raan is a must!
