peshawri - itc maratha

i would personally prefer dum pukht over peshawari. the food is more flavorful at dum pukht. also the seating and ambience is better

the location and ambience of the place is top notch. the food, especially their signature dal bukhara, is very tasty.

the only thing that left to be desired was the service. it looked like they were in a hurry to get us out and be done. we had to call out the staff a few times in order to get their attention. and the seating is, to put it mildly, terrible. the stools that we were made to sit on were uncomfortable and the table is too low for dining properly.


overall, a good experience that could have been better if a few minor things were taken care of.

the indian cuisine here is unlike any other restaurant you have seen before. visit peshawari and be a part of one of the best fine dining experiences you will ever have!

disappointing experience. i went there after almost 15 years hoping to eat some quality indian food but wasn’t even close to a five star hotel food quality. although the starters ordered was decent (seekh kebab and paneer), the mango mocktail ordered tasted like maaza, the main course (chicken makhani and dal) was absolutely average. honestly i’ve tasted better in cheaper restaurants (a lot cheaper than peshawri). the chicken gravy was too liquidy not thick/creamy at all. feels as if it was prepared in a hurry. it didn’t even seem like i was eating in a five star hotel. also there was no variety in the menu at all. honestly, i will never visit this place again. don’t know how the average rating is 4.9.

supposedly one of their signature dishes which people rave about ...the dal bukhara , it was absolutely tasteless like cooking the daal in boiled water with salt and serving it...horrible...abysmally horrendous quantity for such a high price point..7 grand for 1 starter 3 naans and one dal bukhara , the price would still be justified if the food wasn't so abysmal...save ur money..totally not worth it

known for its beautiful theme and delicious food it features in the list of mumbai’s best place , but you have to try dal bukhara and paneer kurchan.

the most overrated restaurant in mumbai.
food- average. to be specific, the most talked about dal is below average.
service- pathetic. most of the times, there was no server around us. and the etiquette of serving was not expected from a restaurant in a 5 star hotel
seating- not comfortable at all.
for all of this, the money you spend is not worth it at all.

located inside itc maratha, this is one restaurant known for their yummy dal bukhara and a luxury dining experience. the seating is comfortable with large wooden tables and benches. service staff is well mannered and very knowledgeable. the pricing is a bit on the expensive side.
we opted for a vegetarian & a non vegetarian set three course menu consisting of starters, mains and desserts.
the vegetarian starters consisted of tandoori aloo, tandoori salad & subz seekh. decent in terms of flavour, but we didn't find this extra ordinary, unlike the non vegetarian starters, murgh malai kebab, reshmi kebab & peshawri kebab, which were truly mouth watering. all of them were tender and moist, the balance of flavours was outstanding and the quantity was great too..😍
the main course was paneer makhni for vegetarian menu & murgh makhni for the non vegetarian and dal bukhara in both served with a choice of indian bread. dal bukhara was simply too good and something one wishes to have more of..😋
for dessert we requested for kulfi & rabdi. both were delicious and were the perfect end to such a lovely meal. we also had watermelon juice and sweet lime soda to help gulp down the food.

we had ordered single diner platter. the food was awesome and more than sufficient for a foody i am also satisfied with the courtesy of the staffs. truely they deserve an appreciation!

had kept a family dinner for parents 50th anniversary on jan 7th the waiter (don't recall his name) helped us immensely in the portions to be ordered. this helped a lot considering it's a high end restaurant. we ordered mutton seekh kebab, malia tikka, sikandari raan, burrah kebab and dal bukhara. all the food was excellent. only disappointing experience was even when we asked for cutlery, the staff takes a while to get it saying they want us yo experience eating the food by hand which isn't comfortable for all and the seating is on stools which is very uncomfortable specially for 70 years plus people.

we went in for lunch on 01 jan 2021 (today). it's always dal bukhara there, and the paneer sandwich and rotis. the food is heavy n heavenly. try the stuffed kulcha

seats were not comfortable, they need to improve and arrange comfortable sitting. wait time for food is long

it's over hyped and over priced. the kebabs are over priced and they are nothing extra ordinary. dal bukhara portion size is small and over hyped again. no rice prepration so if you are a rice person please avoid going to the place
ambiance, seating and staff is good but food is just not worth the price

just amazing ambience , food and hospitality. the food is little less spicy but that is understood as it's a five star. it's a great place to relax with your family on a weekend

the service at peshawri is superlative. their covid precautions are very meticulous, hats off to itc to take such good care of their employees and clients.

special kudos to mr. niladri who went above and beyond to give excellent food recommendations. we ordered paneer kadak, chicken kurchan and dal bukhara on his suggestion and every dish was scrumptious! the conversations he had with us made our visit even more cheerful. it’s people like niladri who are an asset to itc. will keep coming back to itc maratha thanks to such good service and hospitality.
