unnecessarily overpriced, slow service and the waiters deterred us from ordering things that took time. my father is allergic to amchur and the staff didn't accommodate our request for serving food minus it saying the masala is premade and that we need to tell them about all this a day in advance. one doesn't expect this of arestaurantof this stature; we had to shout out to the waiters everytime we wanted to call for something - they can sure do better. even smaller hotels serve better. not at all worth the money spent + very very limited menu options.

for a 5 starrestaurantthat digs a serious hole in your wallet, the overall experience is just not upto the mark. while food is good, right from seating arrangements to noise levels to the choice of music (indian classical sitar in north west frontier cuisine house) is disappointing. thisrestaurantis nothing but overrated!!!

we were here as my friend from s. korea wanted to have indian food, esp. lassi, butter chicken and daal! so this was the best option available to us near the airport as he had to catch the flight back home.
so we were here at 7pm but therestaurantwas already full! we could get a place for three with a little wait. anyway ordered food as per his desire but i am a vegetarian so not much choice except paneer khurchan and peshawari daal, their signature dish and garlic naan! but i have no regrets as the food was very tasty. my friend also liked his non veg food too much! so we were all happy in the end!
it's a costly place but worth it!

so i went to the most sought afterrestaurantfor indian food probably in mumbai. the food/ambience was good. service was superb. we ordered the tandoori aloo and paneer tikka. although any1 can get a heart attack hearing this prices since both these cost total 4k +taxes... but the food was good . one thing i will recommend, it's difficult to take ur parents since the seating is the most horrible. they just have "stools" to sit on . with the amount you pay for the food you should get a kings chair...on the serious note. it's worth trying if you can order food, eat it in under an hour and get out . otherwise ur back will take you out.

visited this place a couple of months ago for dinner. superbly amazing food. the food is quite heavy as its cooked in ghee and in a traditional method. ordered tandoori phool, subz seekh, roomali roti and dal bukhara. the dal was the best so tasty and very heavy like just half a cup was enough. all food is served in copper utensils which is very healthy and my favourit. the service is very good and you are so pleased at the end that you would want to return again and again. the look of therestaurantis very traditional and the open kitchen can help you see hows it cooked.

this place is one of my favourite. this place is very comfortable it has a decent ambience and soft music. the best part about this hotel is that there are no forks and spoons provided one has to eat with hands and has to wear an apron which is provided by therestaurantitself. thisrestaurantgives pure desi vibes.

we had a family lunch for 4 on 21st may 2017. peshawari has an excellent ambience. we ordered variety of kebabs, dal makhani and various breads. the portion was slightly more for 4 of us but food was pleasing to eyes and great in taste. all the person serving were helpful and knowledgeable. it was a fabulous time together and enjoyed the food. food at peshawari is bit higher in cost than most of the fine diningrestaurantbut it is great value for money. it’s a place i would recommend to all and would definitely come again.

it's dal bukhara is mouth watering with either peshawari naan or garlic naan.

reasonably priced.

big thumbs up.

sitting can be difficult if you dont get the seats by the wall. in the middle of therestaurantthe sitting is without back support.

wish i had an option to give a negative rating. worst experience ever, at a 5-star hotel like itc. staff abandoned therestaurant(only 1 chef was seen in the entire restaurant) and we had to literally step out of therestaurantto find the staff for serving us the 3rd course.

seafood was stale and overall quality and taste was below average.

murgh makhani felt like it had 3-4 lemons squeezed into it

not even worth the price you’d pay at a barbeque nation

ordered - non veg signature meals

food - 3/5
service - 0/5
seating - 0/5
ambience - 4/5

never going to suffer this again.

located inside itc grand maratha, peshawari is an elegant and classy indianrestaurantspecialising in dal and breads. the menu is extremely limited, with surprisingly no rice dish.

they follow a concept of eating with your hands and do not provide cutlery. i personally had no problem with the concept and infact enjoyed it. the aprons they give instead of normal napkins was definitely something different and fun.

we started off our meal with the subz seekh kabab and tandoori aloo. the seekh kabab was tender and the aloo was generously stuffed with dry fruits. both the items were great and tasted better with the chutney.

for our mains we went with the paneer khurchan and the famous dal bukhara. the paneer khurchan was fairly average, but the dal is worth the praise and accolades it has received. it’s simmered overnight, which comes out in it’s beautiful creamy texture and the flavour of the spices. the naans and laccha paratha were extremely good as well.

for the desserts, we had the kulfi, gulab jamun and the phirni. the kulfi had a very rich creamy texture and tasted outstanding. the gulab jamun was definitely one of the best i’ve had till date.
the phirni was a bit bland and lacked flavour.

the service was impeccable, something that is expected out of a 5 star hotel. thisrestaurantis definitely priced on a much higher side even when compared to other hotels of similar quality, and i would recommend this as a one time experience mainly for the dal bukhara.

the most overratedrestaurantin mumbai.
food- average. to be specific, the most talked about dal is below average.
service- pathetic. most of the times, there was no server around us. and the etiquette of serving was not expected from arestaurantin a 5 star hotel
seating- not comfortable at all.
for all of this, the money you spend is not worth it at all.

located inside itc maratha, this is onerestaurantknown for their yummy dal bukhara and a luxury dining experience. the seating is comfortable with large wooden tables and benches. service staff is well mannered and very knowledgeable. the pricing is a bit on the expensive side.
we opted for a vegetarian & a non vegetarian set three course menu consisting of starters, mains and desserts.
the vegetarian starters consisted of tandoori aloo, tandoori salad & subz seekh. decent in terms of flavour, but we didn't find this extra ordinary, unlike the non vegetarian starters, murgh malai kebab, reshmi kebab & peshawri kebab, which were truly mouth watering. all of them were tender and moist, the balance of flavours was outstanding and the quantity was great too..😍
the main course was paneer makhni for vegetarian menu & murgh makhni for the non vegetarian and dal bukhara in both served with a choice of indian bread. dal bukhara was simply too good and something one wishes to have more of..😋
for dessert we requested for kulfi & rabdi. both were delicious and were the perfect end to such a lovely meal. we also had watermelon juice and sweet lime soda to help gulp down the food.

this was the end to my four day long weekend what a wholesome experience it was at peshawri. from eating our favourite dal bukhara n the murg makhani along with enjoying my favourite drink to having the most hearty laugh and conversation with therestaurantmanager mr. niladri biswas. this undoubtedly was the best experience i’ve had here so far. and i have visited therestaurantwith the same set of friends earlier but just our interaction with the very enthusiastic staff made all the difference for us this time! add especially in this present scenario with covid the staff in general were very cheerful and i seen the highest level of safety measures and hygiene not that i hadn’t expected but it’s worth a mention. they even served us keeping social distancing in mind!! like always the food was great! felt so heavenly to have the good peshawari food after 7 months. great job done by the itc team and thank you the entire staff.
