it was the second time that we visited peshawri for dinner. earlier on our visit we had tried the vegetarian flare (tandoori aloo, paneer khurchan, dal bukhara).

this time we went all in with the non vegetarian flare and it was delectable. we ordered murgh tandoori, seek kabab, dal bukhara, rumali rotis and a butter naan.

the quality of the food can definitely be felt. it’s of the the highest quality and every bite is scrumptious where it is vegetarian or non vegetarian.
the portion size too we felt weregoodfor a group of 4 people (we three felt a bit over stuffed 😉).

of all dal bukhara is something that i would always go for. the ghee-mud pot slight flavour is quite apparent and it feels like you are eating a very comfortable meal. just that with dal bukhara the portion size is less (i am not sure if you can ask for a second serving without paying additional). of everything on the menu, this feels slightly cut in the portion size.

rumali roti although in wheat is a bit chewy whereas butter naan is pretty crispy and a delight to eat.

we paid approx 10k for the meal. definitely not disappointed but dal bukhara could have been served in better quantity!!!

verygoodindian food

i recently visited peshawri with my family for dinner. the ambience is good. but the seating arrangement is not very comfortable.

we ordered paneer tikka for appetiser. it was very tasty and extremely filling. they serve it in 4 pieces of paneer. each paneer must be around 200-250 grams.

for main course, we ordered paneer khurchan, dal bukhara, onion kulcha, paneer stuffed kulcha and tandoori roti. i loved the onion kulcha.

their servings are pretty good. and the food was also verygoodoverall!

so i went to the most sought after restaurant for indian food probably in mumbai. the food/ambience was good. service was superb. we ordered the tandoori aloo and paneer tikka. although any1 can get a heart attack hearing this prices since both these cost total 4k +taxes... but the food wasgood. one thing i will recommend, it's difficult to take ur parents since the seating is the most horrible. they just have "stools" to sit on . with the amount you pay for the food you should get a kings chair...on the serious note. it's worth trying if you can order food, eat it in under an hour and get out . otherwise ur back will take you out.

visited this place a couple of months ago for dinner. superbly amazing food. the food is quite heavy as its cooked in ghee and in a traditional method. ordered tandoori phool, subz seekh, roomali roti and dal bukhara. the dal was the best so tasty and very heavy like just half a cup was enough. all food is served in copper utensils which is very healthy and my favourit. the service is verygoodand you are so pleased at the end that you would want to return again and again. the look of the restaurant is very traditional and the open kitchen can help you see hows it cooked.

serves cuisine from the north west frontiers of india.
ordered their signature dish-sikandari rann, whole leg of spring lamb. it was well marinated and delicious and was easily the highlight of the dinner.
also, ordered tandoori zings (prawns). wasgoodbut not exceptional this time, as previous times.
dal bukhara, their another signature dish was excellent, as always.
they encourage guests to eat with own hands, indian style. of course, never a problem for indians

went to peshawri today after many years expecting to eat their mouth watering dal bukhara once again... it wasgoodbut not upto my expectation. the onion kulcha and sabj seekh were good, not sure if they justify the price, though... the complimentary papad and green chutney were most amazing and so was the service... on the flip side, the seating stools are very uncomfortable... as if peshawri management doesn't want you to spend too much time in the restaurant...

been a big fan of itc hotels.... beautiful ambiance, hard working staff, mouth watering food.

visited pesawri for a quick breakfast before catching flight. which means, reallygoodlocation. went for alacarte food rather than their set breakfast. amazing egg preparation for egg benedict and cheese omelet.
prepared to perfection.

all followed by cheese cake 🍰. same again... just perfectly made.

though the veg options are limited but each dish is absolutely amazing- the starters, the dal makhni or the paneer - each dish is asgoodas it gets.

a must visit place if you wish to have great north indian food in mumbai.

we were 4 of us and went on a sunday lunch. we ordered for their set menus 2 veg 2 non veg. the starters were not even warm and unappetizing. the seating is the most uncomfortable that i have come across any indian restaurant. the dal luckily was worth the talk. the papad pic in my review gets a special mention as the chutney it come with does do the trick to tickle your tastebuds. overall i would think twice before returning here especially when you have so manygoodindian food providers in the city! the price for 4 set menus was 12k and i would really like to pay this for a delicious food the next time i end up going somewhere.

located inside itc grand maratha, peshawari is an elegant and classy indian restaurant specialising in dal and breads. the menu is extremely limited, with surprisingly no rice dish.

they follow a concept of eating with your hands and do not provide cutlery. i personally had no problem with the concept and infact enjoyed it. the aprons they give instead of normal napkins was definitely something different and fun.

we started off our meal with the subz seekh kabab and tandoori aloo. the seekh kabab was tender and the aloo was generously stuffed with dry fruits. both the items were great and tasted better with the chutney.

for our mains we went with the paneer khurchan and the famous dal bukhara. the paneer khurchan was fairly average, but the dal is worth the praise and accolades it has received. it’s simmered overnight, which comes out in it’s beautiful creamy texture and the flavour of the spices. the naans and laccha paratha were extremelygoodas well.

for the desserts, we had the kulfi, gulab jamun and the phirni. the kulfi had a very rich creamy texture and tasted outstanding. the gulab jamun was definitely one of the best i’ve had till date.
the phirni was a bit bland and lacked flavour.

the service was impeccable, something that is expected out of a 5 star hotel. this restaurant is definitely priced on a much higher side even when compared to other hotels of similar quality, and i would recommend this as a one time experience mainly for the dal bukhara.
