original george's burgers & subs

not so good. fries are cooked to much, fried onions on burgers are very greasy. also slow service. owners not to friendly, seems they think they are better then the customers ( especially the wife )

food and portions have gone downhill. ate there once a month or so for the last couple of years. nice reno of the decor, chairs and tables, but the
fatboy platter special has really gone downhill. we always shared a platter ,which was more than enough
burger and fries for each of us. not anymore! the price has gone up and the portion has gone down.
the bun on the burger falls into pieces with every bite until there is no bun and just a small patty with
no chili on it. fries are so skinny, dry and hard. we also order a starter greek salad and it is always
different ingredients, sometimes green pepper, sometimes not, sometimes tomatoe, sometimes not, so little
feta you can't find it, and a two lousy kalamata olives. the food is inconsistent. got to get some experienced food employees, not just high school kids who don't really care.

used to be one of the best.

went last night to find prices went up, burger buns were frozen so they were falling apart when thawed to serve. fries were very dry. one person in my party got gravy and instantly regretted the choice as he received soggy everything because of it

mmmm still the best !. was a super busy monday ... still the food came out hot fresh and fast .. there was a line up for a table but we were seated fast and left full and happy .. good job georges !!!

large menu selection and huge portion sizes. very delicious every time i've gone. they recently prettied up the place with new chairs, seat coverings and a nice paint job too.

best greek burgers in the city!. large portions and delicious food at a great price! nothing fancy... definitely a diamond in the rough! a must try....

always very good. no matter when we go to georges the place is always packed. they make everything the way i like it. i like my burger with extra fillings and lots of fried onions and there is never a problem. when i feel i need to take it a bit easy(my blood is coursing through my veins way too fast) i have their greek salad with chicken and pita bread. i have yet to finish an order. it is huge. they always have fresh tomatoes and lettuce and that makes the salad great.
my so always has the gyro and she enjoys georges. at our last outing to georges she splurged and had a chocolate milkshake and it was one of the best she's had, it was thick, rich and chocolatey. and she knows chocolate!!! my son had a chiliburger and it came smothered in chili sauce. i distracted him so i could try the sauce and it was as i figured, a hint of spice and very flavourful.
i am not a sub person but my son goes there often for their subs and he loves them..

established. probably run by the grand children now, but still one of the best burger joints in town.

st vital george's is the best in the city. i've tried the george's on henderson and on portage and both were dismal compared to the original on st. mary's. they have recently redecorated the interior so it's more modern. their greek salad is pretty good and nicely flavored, although sometimes it can have too much lettuce and very few olives, tomatoes or feta. i've tried their chicken souvlaki dinner, which is fairly priced for the portion of food. the best meal has to be the fat boy and fries. the fat boy burger is oversized and hits the right spot with it's savory flavor. the fries aren't greasy, lightly crisped and meaty on the inside. overall, a great place to forget your diet.

the burgers and service is always great! very consistent, great value. one of the best in the peg. george, no mastercard? then using my depot card wants to charge me .35c? really? not impressed.

good. first time i went was with my friends, the food was so good, portions were good and service was good. only thing was there cups weren't as clean, left over food residue was on ours.

best in the west. george's on portage has the best burgers and fries around and the friendliest staff/owners anywhere! i've tried all of the "high" review ones and this george's holds it's own.

greatest hot dog. their foot long hot dog was probably the best i've ever had. i went there over a week ago and i'm still thinking about it. it was huge and loaded with pickles. i can't wait to go back.

one of the only takeout burgers i'll buy. not into the clown burgers but i will chow down on a whopper occasionally. i like the fries alot as well.
