excellent service. the food is good, but extremely costly for what you receive. i have had similar quality seafood at much lower prices elsewhere in the city. would not order anything exceptfishand sea food; have had lamb there once and it was overcooked and inedible.

greek seafood. we were treated to a real special evening with great service and food. the crab cake was a montreal award winning appetizer. we also started off with a split of calamari and octopus that was one of the best i have had. for our main course we shared a 3lbs wide eyed mediterranean snapper. it was fresh out of the ocean and flown in that day so you can imagine the taste. the price for thefishwas a little high but one has to understand the source of thefishand it's travel. after a great indulgence and a wonderful interaction with our servers we were treated to a complimentry award winning las vegas dessert their baklava ice cream. wouldn't i recommend this place? sure would.

great seafood and attentive friendly service!. milo's was great! a local recommended milo's to us and we were delighted. unfortunately* we arrived late, so thefishselection was diminished (the restaurant was packed), thefishis all on display and the server will bring it to the table. as a result we decided to split a bunch of appetizers and share a main. we started with sardines which were wonderful, right down to the grape leaves they were served on. we followed this up with the grilled octopus which was tender and delicious. be warned though the portions are large! so at this point, we (three of us) decided that we either needed to start cancelling things or phone a friend. the server suggested changing the next item - a milo special - to a half portion, which they did... it was still too much food.... panic was starting to set in, so we asked if we could cancel the main (fish), which the server cheerfully agreed to do. that fortunately left a bit of room for a piece of baklava (yummy) and coffees. the servers were great - friendly, helpful with recommendations and attentive. and while we did not sample a huge array of items, i have a feeling that the rest of the mains are just as good - based on the happy crowd there. we also could see a mouth-watering array of cheeses and fresh fruit. negatives... a bit noisy maybe for a lot of conversation, but mist crowded restaurants are... i would skip the milo special appetizer (a tower of fried zucchini), which while tasty, to me is more bar fare. it was expensive... good restaurants are though. i gave it four stars... i suspect it would get five on another night.

we plan to go back to milo's to pick up where we left off - soon we hope!

what's the big deal??. milos has a lovely dining room. it has a nice bathroom. it has decent service. the price tag should assure a really special meal but sadly, it was not least bit memorable. ourfishdishes were so simple as to be utter lacking in mystery, oh, except how did they findfishwith so many little bones! accompanying steamed vegetable and a bit of sad potato. a regrettable experience. don't go.

best greek restaurant in the world?. this may just be the best greek restaurant in the world. the appetizers (try the fried zucchini) are out of this world. thefishis flown fresh from greece daily, i believe and is proudly displayed. i have not found any other restaurant that i liked as much anywhere else in canada nor in greece. this success story, that started in montreal, has led to additional milos restaurants (owned by the same family) in new york city and in greece.

heard about the greek restaurant milos for some time and finally made it out there one evening to check it out. the place was pretty busy when we got there, so i was hoping for the best. service was pretty good as you might expect from a more expensive place like this. the downside was our table position; they squeezed us in tightly between other tables and had to jostle us around more than once during food service which was distracting. panoramic photo of milos interior what to expect similar to rayan restaurant , they have afishcounter where you can check out thefishthat you may want to order; in the end we just ordered off the standard menu. great starters many restaurants i've been to seem to have starters that outshine their main courses, and looking back i think this may another one of those times. the milos special (paper thin zucchini and eggplant, lightly fried saganaki cheese and tzazik) and octopus (sashimi quality mediterranean octopus, charcoal broiled) were simply gre

living off its name and former glory. i always found the place a bit of a clip joint, a tomato salad for $25 still does not sit well with me. nonetheless,i enjoyed the power scene at milos and its selection of fresh fish.
a couple of weeks ago, we went out to milos on a saturday night. we were seated for 7:30. one of our guests doed not eat shellfish so we asked what were the selections of whitefishavailable. we had to hurry our order in as there were only 2 whitefishleft ( snapper and sea bass).
the waiter was unapologetic, our meal came to $400. and let me tell you it was not worth it. today there are loads offishrestaurants in montreal, that give you quality and value for your hard earned money and appreciate your patronage. no more "emperor's clothes for me. i am looking forward to my next greek meal at philanos , just up the street !

my personal top favourite greek fare in mtl. while philinos is my favourite greek restaurant for food, milos is top favourite all-rounder greek restaurant because it covers and balances perfectly well all i like about a restaurant: awesome cuisine, beautiful layout, classy service.
the full pack!

the food
=========
on my visits there, i had try severalfishdishes (always fresh, savourish and very interesting variety of top quality fishes), but had a soft spot for the grilled octopus (octopus in the hands of a weak chef can be a disaster, and that's how i started to measure the great talent of milos's chef -> his octopus is brillantly cooked, at perfect tenderness and with a taste that drives your palet happy ;p).
i've got to point this out: their seafood is so fresh that you would litteraly think there was a little fishing village right next door..litteraly!

decoration
===========
beautiful modern/trendy/romantic/ contemporan warm and light colors.

service
=======
very courteous staff with high standards of service. ask them about anything that's on their menu, and you will be amazed by how precise are their knowledge about cuisine, their menu, food and so on. mind you, that is what you expect from such high caliber restaurant.
