excellent service. the food is good, but extremely costly for what you receive. i have had similar quality seafood at much lower prices elsewhere in the city. would not order anything except fish and sea food; have had lamb there once and it was overcooked and inedible.

disappointing and $$$. a friend and i were curious to try milos's lunch after a friend of mine was raving about it: so we decided to give it a shot.
the tuna tartar as well as the smoked salmon starters were great but
the tuna hamburger that my friend chosed was tasting really bizarre, i just took a small bite of it and wondered if they put meat in it. my friend told me later she had a hard time digesting it.i was lucky enough to take the salmon ...small portion but delicious, came with a tiny sprigg of brocoli and saffron rice that totally tasted like medecine ( and i love saffran and use it regularly in my own cooking ) i would have expected that this tiny portion of rice would have come with maybe parsley and some fresh tomatoes. what a lack of imagination
for a restaurant with that reputation. and lets us talk about the deserts. the famous baklava ice cream. which came in a martini glass, tiny as a ping pong ball. we bursted in laugher at the sight of it : my cake was delicious, tiny also but a little bit more fulfilling than that cheap amount of i must admit delicious ice cream. in all, not worth it ...i ate in much better restaurant for the rapport-qualité- prix.

wanted to try out a greek restaurant for a long time. checked on zomato and zeroed in on milos. did a reservation for 3 people and finally when reached there realised why reservation was necessary. the restaurant was packed eventhough it was a week day. we ordered the traditional greek salad along with stuffed calamari for starters. for the main course ordered the fresh catch black sea bass. all the items were top class. though it's a bit pricey but taste and ambience makes up for it.

milos, is a montreal institution and great success story in the world of restaurateurs. it can be counted amongst the few who over time, not only have survived, but expanded and morphed into something better than the original concept. for over thirty-five years it has dominated the realm of greek food in a city that is not only discerning but discriminating when it comes to dining out. from its humble beginnings, it has grown into an empire that spans across the globe. including locations in new york, miami, las vegas, athens and london.

when a restaurant has a lunch special, you go. when a fancy restaurant has a lunch special, y'all have no choice, you freaking go! actually, jer bear, lea and i were totes excited to eat at this korean resto not far from milos, but it was closed! grrr. i hate it when that happens. we started walking towards st-viateur and noticed milos. jer said 'hey, they have a lunch special. and so, greek food it was!

food is ok-fresh but bland. stick to seafood and popular items--steer away from lamb.

had the worst experience of my life.  from the moment we arrived our waiter we had some sort of issue with us.  he argued with the hostess and then proceeded to display his annoyance with us throughout the meal.  he snapped when i asked for his suggestions.  ignored us and then flat out avoided us.  i assumed he was having a bad night until i realised he was fawning over the tables beside us.  the only thing i can think of is that he was put off by our appearance--my husband and i had driven two hours from ottawa and were dressed in work attire, but by no means were we dishevelled or casual.  by the end we had to find another waiter to settle the bill.  he even refused to look at us as we exited.  i still can't believe i paid money to be sh*t on for an hour and a half.  never again

that large sucking sound is that of your hundred dollar bills being flushed one-by-one down the proverbial toilet. for second-rate seafood (the swordfish was bland as heck, and clearly defrosted), and milos' famous $25 tomato, this is your place.

the ambiance is chic, and the seafood staging area is esthetically appealing, in the way provigo le marché is. save your craving for greek delicacies for any of the more rewarding greek institutions nearby.

milos, located in the heart of mile end (in between ave. st-viateur and ave. fairmount w. on ave. du parc), and it has been in montreal’s culinary scene for more than 30 years. moreover, it is the one and only restaurant that my mom asks to visit over and over again when she’s in montreal. don’t get scared by the $$$$ when you see it on restaurant review websites, because their lunch deal is definitely a steal!

it’s rather rare that we return to a restaurant twice in the same week. montreal is bursting with restaurants that demand our attention and we rarely feel like returning to a restaurant as soon as we walk out its doors. but that was indeed the case after we visited estiatorio milos for diva #1’s favourite cousin’s birthday. it certainly helped that on our most recent visit to milos, our attentive waiter kosta told us about the ktima parparoussis tasting, later that same week. could we really resist?

easily one of my favourite restaurants in montreal!

my personal menu highlights are always the:
'sashimi' (tuna or salmon), and 'oysters' appetizers. the 'milos special' (fried zucchini & eggplant chips with tzatziki), and 'octopus' (charcoal broiled) starters, and 'pasta with lobster', and 'lamb chops' mains.

great wine selection. great olive oil and bread on the table.
dress code is casual chic. the atmosphere is bright and lively, but not too loud.
these guys never let me down.
