pleasant dining environment. santa fe christmas burrito presented well and a refreshing change from southwest fare at other establishments. best of all the architecture and interior design of midiamake for an extremely pleasant dining environment.

great service and even better food! guacamole was to die for (highly recommend it) and the food tasted so authentic. i am from west texas and travelled to new mexico often. midiadefinitely reminded me of some of the awesome dishes i had there with hatch green chiles. the atmosphere and decor is very warm, modern and inviting. will definitely be back for sure!

highly recommend midiafor special occasions, delicious table side guacamole, margaritas and unique dishes. on weekends you are going to want to make a reservation or better yet, book through the zomato app. if you don't make a reservation, be prepared to grab a drink and wait for an hour. my favorite margarita so far is the blueberry habanero infused. soooo good! sweet at first then a kick of heat at the finish. i always have the house specialty or the pabil. the pork is is tender from steaming in the banana leaf, and the street corn is roasted to perfection.

food is wonderful, don't like the smoking on the patio.. we went to midiafor the first time last night to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. we went a little before 6 and only had to wait 20 min. to be seated. the chips and salsa was outstanding as a starter. the midiahouse margarita is one of the best i have ever had. my husband had the street tacos and i had the new mexico tampiquina. my skirt steak was perfectly prepared and very tender. the entire dish was delicious. my husband added some of the extra salsa to his tacos and said they were wonderful. i would give the place a 5 star rating except for the fact that they allow smoking on the patio. we happened to be seated downwind from a table of women of which only one was smoking, but was a chain smoker. when we asked to move, we were told that it would be another 15-20 min. wait for another table inside or out. we stayed, but the constant smoke did put a damper on an otherwise wonderful meal. the 1 1/2 hrs. we were there, no other person smoked but this woman. at that rate, i think the restaurant could ban smoking all together and not lose any customers. in this day, most upscale restaurants do not allow smoking, even on their patios. i hope midiawill take that into consideration.

yes please!. midiais a breath of fresh air in the bland and overpopulated dfw mexican food scene! i'm officially in love!
i love their red/green salsa blend,queso, table side guacamole,
quesadillas de huitlacoche, esquites, tamales,
relleno al carbon, pepita crusted seabass...mmmmm. just go. it's so good.

after reading some of the negative reviews we were somewhat apprehensive about dining here. however, our experience was outstanding at every encounter! prompt and friendly greeting, seated at our reserved time, speedy and knowledgable service and the food was delicious!! can't wait to go back again. thank you midiafor a memorable meal.

poor margaritas - not so friendly hostess!. my wife and i tried midiatoday for the first and last time. the facility is impressive with a great patio. the food was okay. however, when we walked in, the hostess was was very non-attentive. the waiter was very kowledgible with regard to the menu and very helpful. we ordered frozen margaritas, chicken fajitas and a chimichanga. the food was good, but the margaritas made with lemons was really lacking. when my wife commented to the waiter that we didn't care for the "lemon" margaritas, he suggested that we order "premium" tequila next time. from that point forward, he was rather cool towards us. we always order "house maragaritas" wherever we dine, and always enjoy them. next time we will go to la hacienda ranch and enjoy some great "house" margaritas made with limes.

k&j_041412. i took my wife and her cousin to midiafor dinner. very modern and upscale look inside and out. our waiter took very good care of us along with the manager who stopped by to check on us more than once.

i had the new mexico tampiquena and my wife and her cousin both had the ox eyes stacked enchiladas. we all enjoyed the meal and plan on coming back soon. i would highly recommend midiaas a place to get traditional and more exotic mexican dishes.

tasty but presumptuous... there a some really great dishes at mia dia. there are some nice people working here. there are also some very bland, blah items on the menu...and some super presumptuous, nearly rude employees. (womp womp)
do splurge and order new mexico tampiquena ($19). worth it, delicious. also, pollo agave ($17)--not your basic boring grilled chicken dish--really great chicken w interesting sides. do not order the appetizer - esquites ($6)---boring...just some creamy, spiced corn and not much of it. i would stick to the special offerings here, ie, not the tex mex. these items would be better fared at other local tex mex spots--(think mi chula, mi cocina, cantina laredo, rio mambo).
the lunch can be great too--esp consider the scottish salmon (also offered at dinner). very fresh!
however-- regarding the staff, as many have commented, this can be a toss up. sometimes the host personnel are less than savory. one evening, i listened to a thirties-ish host? manager? at the host stand call customers 'idiots' after they decided to forgo the wait and left without telling him the name on the list. nice.
also--- there is no changing area in the restroom at midiafor wee ones. this can present an issue if you do happen to bring your children. the hosts replied (upon bringing this up) "oh, yeah".
also---after meeting a friend for lunch one day-- a waitress snatched the lunch menus away from our table, citing, 'lunch is over now'. apparently, although we had arrived around 2:30, we had not ordered by 2:55--because we had taken a bit to get settled in and were talking. (it had been a couple years since seeing my friend and we had two small ones) we were told lunch would be impossible to order as the register would not longer recognize lunch orders. !
the food is pretty great, if you can sidestep or ignore some of the impolite staff...

what is wrong with these people? great food and bad attitude? ;(

midiawas really good! i really liked the tamales definatly get them as your main meal. the xmas burrito is the size of my face, and the chicken tingas were wonderful. there is such a wide variety of margaritas and even one that costs $50! overall a great experience, the service was lovely and i was very happy.

disappointed. i love the ambiance of midiabut was disappointed in the portion size and the food. it does not meet up to my expectations. probably would go there for happy hour and appetizers only.

frustrated. it's a beautiful restaurant and has a nice feel. i wish i felt the same way about the food which is marginal. if you eat a lot of mexican food, you know the difference. they need to step it up or they won't be put on the same ole' chain restaurants list. for people who know the difference and willing to pay the price, i would only go back there for drinks. sorry, we expect more from the owners of bob's chop house.

need to get their act together. i have attempted to dine at midiatwice. i absolutely understand the "call ahead" method. first time, i called ahead and was told they would put my name down and it would be about a 20 minute wait once we arrived and that we would be seated inside as per requested (it was very cold out). when we arrived, we were told it would be an hour wait to sit on the patio and there was nothing sooner than that inside. we left. second experience. i called a week ahead as we had a party of 12. i was told to call back to the restaurant by 11am to day of to get our name on the "call ahead" list and that there may still be a 20 minute wait, but that they would certainly seat us together, inside. i just got off the phone with them and was told by the manager that they have no 12 tops, the largest they have is an 8 top. i explained that i had called last week and was told there was no problem seating 12 together. i told the manager that his employees aren't aware they have no 12 tops. he said "oh yes, they are all aware" well, why didn't they know when i called? he said they would have to seat our party at 2 different tables. i told him we would have to go elsewhere as we really want to sit together and he said "ok" and hung up, literally just hung up. i don't care how good your food is, when you have horrible customer service, especially from the manager (didn't get his name, but it is 12/16 at 9:30am), that tells me a lot. with so many restaurants out there that provide exceptional service who want our patronage, mi dia, you will never see a dime of my money.

wow! super!. ok the biggest challenge for all 4 restarurants at this location is parking...parking is a real pain...for a reason ...at least 3 of the 4 are top notch. havent tried the 4th yet.

we had dinner at miadialast night and it was great. our server was very knowledgable and steered us to some super maragritas and helped with some menu selections. food was super, service was very good all around. my wife thought it was maybe the best mexican food she has had ...ever. i recommend the relleno al carbon (stuffed with pulled pork ) and the mi casa plate.
anxious to try some of the new mexico style dishes...
but will try the steak & rellano next trip as it was my 2nd choice last night. there will definitely be a next trip and proabably soon.

right next door we have also enjoyed bobs and just recently, winewood...both really good in their "niches" .
hope to try fireside pies (pizza) soon.
