don't be intimidated by the ambiance and prices. maya is a good place to have drinks andmexicanfood.

giving them a high rating for the service since the staff was accommodating about our requests. one of my friends is vegan and they were able to tailor-fit one of the tacos according to her needs. that for me is an example of excellent service.

we had the salsa rojo with masa chips. went well with our mojitos and beer.

i also ordered their asada corn taco. every order comes with 3 pcs of tacos. taqueria-style means double taco but how unfortunate that their taco wasn't that crunchy. so i had to take out a taco to be able to enjoy it.

excellent ambience, awesome food and food choices. the service was courteous and good. only reason for not getting 5 stars is the speed of service, took me half an hour just to get their meaty nachos.
if you lovemexicanfood and salsa dance, this is the best place to be in the vicinity.

three of us went for maya having had a good impression of abaca group's restos. i've been craving formexicanfood so maya was our first choice.
we ordered nachos for an appetizer, ensalada de la calle, asada fajitas and costillas de maya.

i liked costillas de maya- pork ribs barbecue was tasty enough for me although my hubby promises that even he can cook them better. apparently, he didn't like them.

nachos were so so because the chips quickly became soggy.

my hubby said that asada fajitas was ok, one can tell that they source good meat but, unfortunately, there was not anything special to it.

the salad was not very impressive and it is a shame that they only have one salad on their menu.

overall, the price tag was not quite commensurate to our food experience, so we probably will not be going there anytime soon.

(*a little downer that we experienced was how the blackout was managed: the lights went off twice during our stay and the first time it lasted good 5-7 mins! the room became very warm immediately and the staff acted like it was a usual thing, no apologies. imho, for a restaurant that charges that much we would expect them to manage it better- should they have used better generators the brown out time could last less that a minute.)

best tacos!!! this place is quite expensive though but the menu is nothing but deliciousmexicanfood😋 the place has a modernmexicanthemed ambiance. service was great, waiters pour your drinks automatically if they saw that your drink was already half empty which was really weird and unexpected. a must try restaurant👌

you pay for quality. if you're craving formexicanfood then maya is the place for you. the best time to be there is around 8pm until they close. but the place is a bit dark for photos so a lot of flash is needed for the perfect shot.

i have always been on the hunt for the bestmexicanrestaurant, and i’m 100% sure that i’ve found it here in maya!

i got to try the smothered carnitas burrito, beef & pollo fajitas, nachos, fish tacos, and chicken quesadillas. all i can say is — wow! every. single. dish. was. fantastic. everything was so full of flavor and worth all the calories.

if you’re in cebu, please do yourself a favor and try maya. i wish there was something like this back in manila! to top it all off, all the staff were so friendly and accommodating. will definitely be back when i’m in cebu again. :)

a place that offers relaxation and fun at the same time.
maya is one of those resto’s in cebu that offers unique ambiance. it has a decent interior from finishes to furnitures that is very instagrammable to anyone who loves taking pictures.
the kind of vibe it offers is a mixture of modern lifestyle with a mixture ofmexicantraditional music and dances.
for the food, they have arrays of good food and has a very reasonable price.
selected drinks on selected days of the week are offered in a buy one get one promo. a must try!

this place has the bestmexicanfood in cebu. the atmosphere is very nice and the staff quite friendly. i am looking forward to coming back. the only negative i have is the size of the tortillas and that everything that usually accompanies a main dish (ie: frajitas) is considered a side and is extra. other than that, its a nice place and i expect to bring family and friends here.

ordered three dishes: 2 fajitas (pollo&carnitas)
& quesadillas. i also had their tap/draft beer the "mexicutioner". the chicken(pollo fajitas) and the pork (carnitas) fajitas were enormous. each dish can satisfy 2-3 persons by volume. each fajitas had alot of red beans and paste, cheese, salsa, and tasted fine. and the texture of the chicken was excellent. not overcooked nor chewy. seasoned well. the only thing i was hoping for was the for more bell peppers and cilantro to come out and blend more with the dish which it didn't have any. cilantros give more aroma tomexicandishes and it can never be singled out. it must blend in.
i can say the same thing for their pork fajitas. a good authentic guacamole is the avocado used in it must be smashed and never blended, but this one's blended here in maya. it should not taste creamy but rather be soft and have a moutfeel of having adequate lime and garlic in it and must have a punch of heat from the hot peppers. sorry but they didn't please my tastebuds on that one. i definitely know how a good authentic guacamole must taste and this is not the one. next was the quesadillas. this one's very good. i like how it wasn't that intense and wasnt bland either. it tasted perfect and well balanced between the cilantro, herbs and the stuff inside it. it was light and best paired with a strong beer. finally to sum my dinner up, the "mexicutioner" craft beer was outstanding. boasting an alcohol eprcentage of 7.9%, this was a good booze to hit you off. the taste was refreshing and crisp. but fruity and definitely not heavy on throat. best paired with the fajitas. i'd say a 9/10 for the ambience. felt themexicanvibes. this is a place where i prefer hold good conversations with good friends. service was superb. worth every buck that you can shed for a good dinner. i will absolutely be back for more.
