lychee lounge

perfect date location!. came here on a tuesdaynightas fellow hospo friends from melbourne recommended. share food and great drinks make for a great night. we had bread,potatoes,chicken skewers and croquettes, then the pork belly (2 pieces!), and the pannacotta for dessert which was hands down top 3 desserts i've ever tried. good beer selection, healthy cocktail selection (although an ice sphere doesn't melt quickly enough to help dilute an old fashioned!). and great service. there was only one girl behind the bar and one guy on the floor and probably a good 20 or 25 people in the small space. well done!

wow! this place does the best cocktails in brisbane. ben was a great host and everyone is really friendly. huge range of cocktails and cute venue. perfect for anightout or a sneaky drink after work!

amazing. we had a hens party booking for dinner and cocktails on the weekend at lychee lounge and they completely exceeded our expectations. the food and drinks were amazing but most importantly, the attentive staff were extremely good at their jobs and made our hen have the best time. from the moment we first contacted lychee lounge, the entire process was smooth and effortless, and the staff went out of their way to make thenightpersonalised and special. highly recommend!!

we held my wife's 40th birthday function at the lychee lounge on the weekend. the staff couldn't do enough for us throughout the entirenightand were so friendly and helpful. we ordered a swag of food off the menu including a number of the platters containing a mix of hot and cold food. the quantity of food was very impressive as was the quality. it was exceptional value for money. i would certainly recommend the lychee lounge for everything from a quick drink through to a function like the one that we just had. we were very happy with our choice!!

a great spot to have a drink and relax with friends.. possibly the best cocktails ive ever had. i would highly suggest this place for a datenightor anightout with friends

very poor. went for dinner and drinks on frinightwith some friends for an early xmas party. cocktails were lovely and tapas was good, mains however were a totally different story.my duck was dry and ridiculously overseasoned, worst duck i have ever had anywhere my friends both ordered the chicken skewers which were raw. meals don't come out together and they failed to tell us that when we ordered. a beetroot salad arrived at the end of the meal. we ordered wine which never came until the 3rd time we asked for it and when i told our waiter about the chicken being raw he just replied "oh ok" and took the plates. i had to ask for the manager who did reimburse us for the chicken and a round of drinks but it was too little too late. definitely wont be going back.

and given how asian i am and where value-for-money is rated as closely as flavour and ambience, i reckon as much as i have enjoyed lychee lounge, this one is going to have to be kept under the 'indulgence' tab and only visited on a specialnightout.

i went here with a group for my friends birthday and found one male staff member in particular to be extremely rude and arrogant - to the point in which we seriously considered going elsewhere, we were so begrudged to spend our money at the bar. my friend was slightly late for her booking to which the waiter showed extreme frustration and humiliated her by questioning whether 'she even had any friends coming?!' she was almost in tears when i arrived. he proceeded to act like this the entirenightwith much of the group noticing. while the other staff were good and the drinks delicious it was dimmed as this staff member is the main memory our group has of the night. word to the manager - don't forget that your staff are the face of your business. make sure they don't misrepresent you!

too cool for school! we went last tuesday planning to enjoy tapas and drinks. after 10 minutes of being totally ignored by both the staff, on an obviously quietnightwe went down the road and bought delicious take away kebabs from the always smiling people at cha cha and enjoyed them with a quiet ale at home. too many great choices in west end to put up with this...

after our great first experience at lychee lounge we decided to take a few friends from sydney there for dinner on saturday night. this visit was very dissapointing. service was cold and rude, we sent back a flat glass of bubbles, only to be told "it's chandon" in a condescending tone. we ordered a heap of the tapas share plates asking that they come out a few at a time so we could continue with wine and drinks and make anightof it. after waiting 45 minutes all our dishes hit the table at once with staff lining up with plates that wouldn't fit on the table while we tried to make room. it felt as if we were being treated like crap because we asked to have the dishes bought out over time. to make matters worse 3 of the dishes we ordered were not available and we were not told until the food started to arrive. the food we had was nice, but to try and balance plates and eat was not a nice experience. i'm happy to give lychee lounge another go, but perhaps we will go on a quiet weeknightand order dishes 1 at a time so as not to confuse the wait staff or the kitchen.

great food and delicious cocktails. the vesper was one of the nicest i've ever had. the tapas plates where perfect size and full of flavor. pork belly was especially good, as was the honey crushed potato chips. service was a bit too cool for school, but the food, drinks and decor made up for it.

awesome casual cocktail lounge setting. spent a randomnightthere till close recently. i talked, ate, & drunk thenightaway. very busy but it's obvious why!

staff too trendy to do their job.. i would normally rave about the lychee lounge, the service used to be great and the drinks even greater. lastnighti journeyed there with my boyfriend to celebrate us moving in together. we waited over half an hour for 1 drink each (i kidd you not!), while we were waiting, we watched the barman flirt with the waitress, go and have a ciggarette, make a drink for himself and his friend and the walk out of the venue.

not only did he forget our 2 drink order when he came back, we were not refunded or given any sort of compensation for the time we had wasted.

punters, go to "sling bar" up the road, the drinks are better, the atmosphere is nicer and the staff aren't too trendy to do their job.
