lychee lounge

perfect date location!. came here on a tuesday night as fellow hospo friends from melbourne recommended. share food and great drinks make for a great night. we had bread,potatoes,chicken skewers and croquettes, then the pork belly (2 pieces!), and the pannacotta for dessert which was hands down top 3 desserts i've ever tried. good beer selection, healthy cocktail selection (although an ice sphere doesn't melt quickly enough to help dilute an old fashioned!). and great service. there was only one girl behind thebarand one guy on the floor and probably a good 20 or 25 people in the small space. well done!

really good enviornment and the best owner ever! good beverage and delicious tapas! lychee lounge is the bestbari met. thebartender is the owner of the bar, nice to all of the guests. lychee lounge deserves the recommendation👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 feel happy to talk with the owner💕 he is really handsome as well with really warm smille😆 if you dont drink alcohol beverages, i recommend the strawberry one, its the best!

really cute, cosybarwith friendly staff. their latest cocktail menu is amazing as is their food. this place is great for some relaxed cocktails and nibbles. one of my favourite places in brisbane.

lychee lounge has been a favourite brisbane spot of mine for years. i love the cocktails. i loved the staff and the atmosphere. i went tonight to celebrate a long week of hard work. i arrived and went to thebarand said hello cutely and asked for a drinks menu. i was questioned "how many drinks have you had tonight?" i replied, confused, that i hadn't had any and that this was the firstbari had been to. i was denied service, being told that i seemed intoxicated and i wasn't going to be served and neither would my partner. both of us were completely sober. i was disgusted and shocked. i left and was considerably irritated and quite offended as i walked down the street. i decided to go back to ask for an email address to complain to the owner of the establishment about the incredibly offensive manner of which i was treated but was hustled outside of thebarand told that voicing my opinion was grounds to label me as "disorderly." i have never been so offended in my entire life. it was one of my number one spots but this one incident of misjudgement and ignorance has ruined the place for me. it goes to show that while the place may have amazing drinks, customer service goes a long way, something the manager needs to improve on greatly if he wants to keep his loyal customers around.

i have lived in brisbane my whole life and had never been to lychee lounge. as soon as i arrived i could understand why thebarhad been there for 16 years... cocktails were the best ive ever tasted (i had a couple that were made with absinthe and rosmary infused) also had one of there shared beef wraps which was a 10/10. will definetly be back many times

friendly service that wasn't rushed considering a busybarwith only one staff. she took the time to detail us on the steps ingredients and even asked us how our day was. i ordered the smokey orange whiskey drink(forgot the name) and it was exceptional. the silk and spice not so much with the flavours a little too bland to mask the strength of the vodka. will definitely be back to try other cocktails

classy cocktails!. this is a great place for quiet relaxing drinks in the afternoon. lovelybarstaff and delicious cocktails - i recommend the espresso martini! nice sophisticated decor and ambiance, a great place to catch up and lose track of time!

the venue possesses some kind of wicked charm with its bizarre décor. from the quirky barbie-doll-head chandeliers... to its oriental touches, and most importantly, a superb range of cocktails, this stylish cocktailbaris worth a visit.

fantastic!. i absolutely love lychee lounge. the cocktail list is incredible, and for the odd cocktail that isnt on there, they are more than happy to make it for you!

i never really considered getting food there, until one day we were so busy chatting and enjoying our cocktails we missed how late it was, and decided to order some food.
we were pleasantly surprised - the food was delicious and reasonably priced, which can be very hard to find in small boutique bars!

i completely disagree with a review earlier about choosing sling over lychee lounge - yes, lychee lounge has a bit of a wait for drinks (it is completely packed from about 7pm onwards, and you often need a booking, especially if there is more than two people), but the wait is completely worth it. i have never waited more than 15 mins for a drink, and that was in their busiest time. there is also table service, so the time you would normally spent waiting at thebaris cut out!
sling, the cocktailbaracross the road, in comparison has watered down drinks, even if they are cheaper and quicker. definitely not worth it.

word of caution - be careful what you say about others in this place - the dome in the room means that if you sit at the wrong (right?) point you can hear others conversations loud and clear - can produce some hilarious results, but not for the drunk idiots who are talking badly about those in the bar!

love this place. recommend it to everyone.
