definitely worth the try! the buffet set up and the food itself is really good! different variety of foods. and i love those sushi/s and maki/s they are serving! location of it is plus plus 👍🏻

it was the hot season of ramadan when we passed by here. it was 2:00 in the afternoon and we just can't go anywhere to have that strong aromatic coffee to wake our senses up.

we knew it was a little expensive to venture into this place but what the heck, i'm sure their coffee is worth it. and it surely was.

not only did our coffee break ignited us up, but the whole ambiance got us into a different level of satisfaction. well, this place sure is different from those found at the mall.

they only offer few cakes and pastry choices but i'd like to think they just limit the choices so they can concentrate on making the best. the mocha cake is great,i believe the baker did a very good job with that.

we might get back if there would be some more promotions.

before trying out a new restaurant, i always rely to zomato or blogs just to have an idea about the place especially the food. most of the time, i get disappointed because the actual food or place is far behind from what is stated on the review or blog. so before going to this place, searched it in zomato and ig. most of the reviews are good and convincing. getting in and dining here made the reviews right. great food,ambiance and service all in one place. a good and yummy way to celebrate eidalfitr . will definitely be back. thumbs up liwan alghurair rotana 😊😊😊

nice iftar buffet! not too much spread but they captured the arabic ramadan vibe. i love the dessert especially the chocolate ball with red drizzle. it has a decadent chocolate filling that oozes out from the dark chocolate coating.

thursday dinner at liwan made my day, we had the buffet excellent service and amazing the food, loved every bit of it. appetiser to deserts were marvelling

service is horrible when comes to changing charcoal for the shisha and plus false advertisement when they stated exotic fruits shisha which they don't have at all so a waste of my time won't be coming to this place again

came here for last minute iftar meal. really stunning presentation, great touches especially on the juices and serving of traditional tea and coffee. i would come here again. the only let down was the selection of main courses, however you can't have everything

had dinner buffet in an excellent place with my two best friends^^ for only 125aed u would really enjoy! located inside the al ghurair hotel, it has a very good ambiance and the place is so cool. without further a due, we start our dinner buffet! almost try their foods and what really caught my attention is their margherita pizza the crust is soft and delicious thumbs up, its a must to try! steak and sushi both stand out as well. to end our night we have some sweets and cakes paired with decafe coffee! that buffet comes with water and coffee only, soft drinks not included! sooner or later gonna come back here!

i give this place a 10/10! most amazing decor and nice seating area! plus food is sooo tasty and fresh. the staff are also so kind and helpful, and made it feel so welcoming. will def be back again thank you 😊

we tried their buffet. it was sumptuous; we like and love their variety of food choices and the way they were presented; so organized. the ambience is elegant, their exceptional service and not to mention the value of money. it was perfect for we came to celebrate a special occassion; cozy, classy but not costly. two thumbs up! ;)

from the outside, rotana al ghurair looks pretty ordinary; but as you take the elevator to the main lobby upstairs; you are welcomed by a very nicely done and elegant lobby.

i have done business lunches before, and this one is exceptionally good. it's more like a buffet with a vast variety of options to cater to all tastes. the salad bar is a delight with hot and cold mezze as well as other continental options. even the seafood options are not just limited to couple of dishes, and there is infact a very good variety of sushi to go (which i'm not a big fan of!)

however, what makes this place stand out is the living cooking station; with the grills done to your taste; along with a fresh-bread serving station. this really makes the place all the more worthwhile to lunch / brunch at.

do keep some space for the desserts, which again is a very good spread with the umm ali and the pastries being really yummy for one to ignore!

the service level is good, with the waiting staff discreet yet being there when you need them. you can also get a quiet space at one of the side tables with great natural light flowing in direct and if you are a group, you can even get your own private seating area.

snapped a cobone dinner voucher at aed69 per head for an international buffet and we both were in celebrating mood, till the choco block traffic in the ghurair mall vicinity kept pushing our patience limits.

liwan restaurant in arjaan by rotana was huge with good amount of outdoor seating as well. we decided to stay indoors due to the poor lighting on the outside. water and drinks were not covered in the voucher, but the we were glad to hear the server throw us on unlimited drinks (non alcoholic) @ aed20 per head & you get anything off the extensive drinks menu too.

you can avoid the smoothies as they dont seem to be made of fresh berries or fruits, but anything on the juices line up were fresh squeeze. the cofee and tea spread wether hot or cold are worth a try.

let me be upfront on the lavish spread ratio (50 : 10 : 40) for (appetizers : main course : desserts), and the experince was (good : poor : excellent).

for some reason i am avoiding lamb and mutton for quite sometime and they looked the most interesting. you cannot afford to miss the roasted lamb rack and live grilled skewers. the texture of the meat and the cooking style was damn inviting. i picked up the horseradish accompaniment that came with which superb.

spinach soup was refreshing. i expected chicken on skewers and chicken tikka to be made from fresh chciken but somehow could easily taste it was picked up from frozen format, the spices used were neat. sushi came in 4 flavors and i just loved the fresh sticky rice and the quality of sea weeds used.

plenty of salads all over the place from across the globe could be seen but were good to go for me. live pasta counter dished out some quality pasta but the white sauce was of poor quality.

the rooted veggies were roasted to perfection, one the best dishes of the lot.

main courses on sweet and sour fish, was poor, fosh was wilted, not fresh, could have been overcooked and the coating was overpowering the fish alltogether; dont expect that too come from rotana. there was some seafood salad which was presented on similar lines.

in desserts umm ali along with the orange cake was the best of the lot. there were plenty of desserts that fared extremely well. i must have hit atleast 20 desserts before i gave up completely.

tip: keep your stomach 60% free for the desserts only, 30% for starters, 5% for mains and 5% for beverages, and you would do full justice to your visit.

3.5 rating is for excellent well trained staff and desserts only with some respite for apetizers. i am sure these guys can do damn better, please correct the seafood and chicken and it can keep you in the league.

a decent spread of dishes, considering we had gone there for lunch! the service and staff hospitality was commendable, and the desserts were just mind blowing!

beautiful ambience in a nice interior setting that makes you feel relaxed. very different to when you step out to the streets of the area in which this hotel is located. i wanted something simple and fast after returning from a conference and rather than go for the buffet, i ordered a simple chicken tikka sandwich served on nan bread. it was pretty tasty. i only wish i could have sat outside but because of the wind, the outside seating area was being cleaned. all in all, a pleasant experience.

liwan restaurant located on the 3rd floor of al ghurair rotana has a beautiful ambience and service. the variety of dishes they had were many in number. live seafood counter, tandoor, asian wok, live pasta, sushi, deserts, salads were the counters they had. the food was really very tasty and the staff were really friendly. went in today for the valentine's lunch. the place was so beautifully decorated with balloons on every table. i would recommend this place for any one who loves to have seafood and try a variety of deserts. i would love to dine in again at liwan.
