the liwan restaurant hosted a buffetof arabic and international dishes as well as live cooking stations, and you can expect traditional favourites like lamb ouzi, shawarma, and fresh seafood, as well as a selection of desserts and cakes to end on a sweet note. consistently good and well presented, their iftar offering this ramadan is like a greatest hits from their menu .

my husband and i went for friday brunch today for the first time in liwan restaurant at swissotel al ghurair. the food was exquisite. there was a wide range of dishes to choose from. my favorite section of thebuffetwas the grill section where you can order grilled beef and lamb steak - medium rare. yum! shout out also to karen in the front desk for the excellent customer service.

massivebuffet, good variety, incredible display. the food quality is high in standard as well as taste.

i went on a saturday where they celebrated the asian theme. thebuffethad loads of starters and salads, soups, sushi, dimsums, chaats, soups , main course and desserts. a foodie like me relished thebuffetand enjoyed the food offered. also, it's a great relief for parents as the restaurant have an indoor play area.

few things were very disappointing
1- thebuffetends at 4pm, around 3 45 the staff dismantled the play area where we were still having our lunch.
2- air condition switched off sharp at 4( asking us to leave)
3- none from.the staff informed us that there is a special chef counter for kids. i learnt later through a friend. how do they expect us to know their facilities. also, it wasn't mentioned anywhere.

apart, from this do try thebuffetfor the food they have to offer on weekends.

great price for average buffet.
based on dubai standard and prices, liwan is standing out based on their food quality and price. they are not your pretentious 5 starbuffetthat costs you 500aed per person but they rather very normal, good qualitybuffetwhich have enough of food to eat and leave happy.

just an average lunchbuffetat liwan. the salad and sushi section put together was three times more the amount of main dishes available. although, a number of staff members were out and about the restaurant - none were available at hand when you needed them. save for 1 or 2 options at the dessert section, the lemon meringue tart included, there's nothing to write home about.

liwan is a nice place for an evening out. its the all day dining restaurant of the hotel "al ghurair arjaan and rayhaan by rotana" i was there on a friday evening. the atmosphere is very calm and the staff were very friendly and attentive. they have a nice terrace where they serve shisha and i personally liked their shisha very much. thebuffetspread has good salads though limited on the main course. the food its a hit miss, though the iranian grill was good. the desserts are also ok. the service was good and the hosts pampered us with a no rushed feeling. if food is not the only agenda which is a miss miss hit, liwan can prove to be a pleasant night out otherwise

went for asian lunchbuffetand food was good, thoughh d serving of japanese food is quite small than the normal size. but overall, good choices of food...

swissotel al ghurair is a luxury 5 star hotel located in deira in the heart of dubai and it’s surrounded by outstanding architecture and breathtaking designs. i loved the high-ceiling and the pearl-colored pillars which add a touch of elegance to the restaurant plus this place is also linked to the iconic al ghurair shopping center.

we had an iftarbuffetat liwan restaurant with family and it was an amazing experience, due to ramadan the restaurant has elaborated the iftar pre set menu and this will be available throughout this holy month. this place has a variety of options for a good price plus you will get a warm welcome and efficient hospitality from the entrance tillbuffetarea.

let's start with some iftar menu, we tried most of the items from theirbuffetlike fresh fruits, salad, hummus, mutabal, halloumi, vine leaves, grilled lamb, yellow rice, white rice, grilled chicken, fried fish, spring rolls, cheese samosa, bar bq grill & kebab, fish curry, and lots of desserts i.e: um ali, cheese kunafa, baklava, custard, jelly, pudding, kheer, mini cakes & donuts.

all the items were made to perfection and we really enjoyed it especially after offering prayer the arabic coffee has been served on table to digest the food with dates to enjoy it.

i would like to say thanks to the whole team of f & b who were quite attentive, professional and soft spoken with the customers and especially to their head mr. khaled who was coordinating with them and making sure that every customers should be treats well.

we had a lunchbuffetat liwan with family, ambiance is nice, quiet decent. the person serving are very courteous. the staff is good.
we had got discounted coupons otherwise the price is on the higher side. the live crepes station was not great at all they were dry and not palatable. what i enjoyed the most was salad and the lamb, lamb was cooked well. we were told by the staff that they have friday brunchbuffetwhich has wide range of dishes with kid friendly activities and cooking classes for kids. hopefully will update the reviews if we go for friday brunch with kido.

liwan is one of the best catch here in deira side. with all the restaurants around, this one is worth every dirhams. with the social media hype - i’m not easily convince even there’s b/vloggers reviews till i experience first hand! 😊 so it’s proven for us that their friday brunch is so family oriented and our kids loved it! variety of options for a good price. the staff , from entrance tillbuffetarea are very warm and as expected, hospitable and efficient.

had iftarbuffetfrom here , the food is amazing - wide spread - friendly and smiling staffs - it is luxury , the restaurant have an open terrace as well . live music and must say the shawarma and kebabs was unbelievably delicious!!

very comprehensivebuffetof friday with fun filled kids menu and professional staff. u cannot have multicuisinebuffetbetter than this. enjoy your weekend brunch with cusines from thai, continental, italian and arabic with huge variety of grill and seafood. not to be missed mocktails included inbuffetand yes fresh frozen nitrogen 🍨 (ice cream). a fresh and hand made swiss chocolates is another not to be missed while your kids will be kept busy with indoor soft games and ps4 also with there own healthy and child taste menu.
overall value for money..and needs a big compilment to the staff who are very helpful and smiling to all your needs.

i absolutely loved the spread! the service was fast and the food was exceptional. they also have a kidsbuffetsection, so it's ideal place to visit for families. very reasonably priced for the quantity and quality of food. must visit!

we went to liwan for a brunch last friday following the high ratings on zomato and was miserably disappointed! they had a variety of dishes from across the world but everything lacked in flavour. the chef at the korean corner was not very efficient as he never delivered us the promised dish in spite of several follow up. but the rest of the staff was very helpful. this place is good for families with children as they have an exclusive kidsbuffetspread with other activities.
