amazing food! had a bit of trouble with the staff though. they’re not attentive enough and tend to crowd around one or two tables. but other than that, it’s all good.

it was our second time here and as always, the best dish for us was the pad thai. we also enjoyed the unli kropek. service was fast and the waiters were very accommodating and attentive.

good food, big servings. price is reasonable. good ambiance. recommended if you want to eat legit thai cuisine. veggies and herbs are fresh since they are getting it from their own edible garden. :)

a hidde gem in tagaytay, would recommend visiting this restaurant at least once to try it out. with the cool weather, having a spicy feast like this is great!

we ordered the tom yum goong p430, pad thai p370, sate gai p280, pineapple fried rice p360 and mango sticky rice p220. we also got a couple of free drinks with our zg membership. for the drinks, i would suggest avoiding the avocado shake because it's really thick. the thai iced tea is good on the other hand. :)

with 4 people eating, p600 each for good food, drinks and a nice ambiance isn't bad at all.

hopefully next time we visit, the road leading up to the restaurant is fixed.

we went there almost 12:30. the place and food was great. i love their pad thai and spring roll but the service is quite not that good. they served our food a little bit late and servers are not that attentive. still giving a good rate because of the ambiance and food.

their food is really good and the serving size is quite generous. everything in the menu is good for 2-3 pax so price is very reasonable. it’s nicer if you get a table outside so you can enjoy the relaxing view and the tranquil vibe of the place while having authentic thai food.

i haven’t eaten much thai food, but to my surprise, because of this tucked away hidden gem of tagaytay, i think i will be frequenting thai. but don’t get me wrong, i’m still on the lookout for the best pad thai in town. this has been my first ever review, and it speaks volume. without further ado, let’s get into it.

we went here saturday lunch at around 12:30pm, and as lucky as we can get, the place isn’t full. and we are already starving. for starter, i would normally order my usual and safe appetizer, fresh spring rolls— which is as fresh as it can get. all the flavors and texture just plays beautifully in your palate. and just a fair warning, it’s highly addictive!

pad thai— this was my main course since i am not in the mood to eat rice. and as mentioned, i am still on a continuous quest for the best pad thai in town. so why pass on the opportunity, right? and boy oh boy, one bite, and i thought to myself, “the search is finally over.” the noodles are cooked to perfection, shrimps are fresh and not frozen, and the egg gives alot more texture and flavor to the whole dish. squeeze in a drop of lime and it’s perfect. i wouldn’t mind going to tagaytay on weekends just for this.

kaprao nua— my boyfriend’s order. the thinly sliced and perfectly cooked tender beef with basil with just the right amount of spice, also sealed the deal. i find myself forking out few pieces to munch because it’s that flavorful. i suddenly realized that thai food really don’t require a lot of seasonings since they always opt to using the finest herbs, spices, and ingredients for their dishes.

kaffir lime creme brulee with yellow mangoes — this has got to be my least favorite among all that we ordered due to the fact that the mangoes are a little bit sour and the kaffir flavor is just subtle. i was expecting it to be a bit bold. but the brulee itself is perfectly done just the way i want it, not runny.

i must also say, that the complimentary kropek they serve with a calamansi-honey dip(i think) is a perfect palate cleanser. you would want to indulge in one food to another after eating these. it’s also very addicting.

overall, i was really impressed with how this restaurant caters authentic thai cuisine worthy of your money. i kept on saying that this has made it to one of my favorite restaurants to date. i loved everything. will definitely go back to try other dishes for sure.

great dining experience! but, i do command you to make a reservation, since there are huge ambiance differences as to the seats for the reserved ones compared to the walk-ins.

they served a complimentary serving of kropek to start our meal. the kropek lacked a bit of more cooking as some pieces were not fully crispy, but this was compensated by their calamansi (i think) based dip which had a thick consistency. it was also sweet, perhaps it had some honey?

we had the fresh spring rolls, mainly filled with veggies dominated by cabbages. it also had a unique sweet, sour, with a kick of spice sort of sauce that made the dish a winner.

i like the pad thai best though. it was a refreshing dish with the complimenting sweet and sour flavors that made the dish a standout. it was well complimented by the crispy togue and the perfectly cooked shrimps with it.

the chicken satay was cooked to perfection. it had the flavor of tandoori spices that was balanced by the ultra nutty peanut sauce that came with it.

the bagoong rice was delicious! it was kinda sticky, like it’s as if it used japanese rice. it could be improved by adding flavor or salt to the pork cuts, plus adding more spiciness to the rice. but overall, it was great. i loved their thai iced tea too! it was creamy and sweet, but not too sweet.

i’d definitely come back.

19.01.2019 first time. it was hidden in one of those small side roads of tagaytay-nasugbu hwy and it was worth the visit. such a cozy and quaint place. trees were around, relaxing grass area and cool breeze made our late lunch enjoyable. the food was great-had chicken satay, pad thai and tom yum soup (among others). something good and different to dine in aside from the usual restos situated on the main road or in the major attractions in tagaytay.

the best thai restaurant in the philippines! the red beef curry is definitely one of my fave. food 5/5. ambience 5/5. cleanliness 5/5. staff 5/5. weather 5/5. the only downside is the location, too far from public road. should hire a car or trike specially at night. overall, this place is a piece of heaven. must-visit place in tagaytay. 💯

i decided to take the family here for something different - many thanks to zomato for the info.  though the place was not that difficult to find, getting there was quite a challenge.  we had lunch here last february 10, and there was a road construction going on.  the rough road that led to the restaurant was being cemented so vehicles had to take turns in crossing.

we were able to park inside since it was still a bit early - i made a reservation for four at one in the afternoon but we arrived before twelve.  even so, a table was already prepared for us.  it was quite a lovely corner of the patio, with a large bamboo couch with corner posts where a white fabric was draped for effect.  the place was a large home that was converted into a restaurant, housing quite a number of asian décor.  there was a large open area under a purple tent to accommodate more guests.  i would have liked to be seated there but the pictures would all turn up with an ube hue.

our lively kuya server - every staff we encountered was very friendly - suggested we start with the fresh spring rolls.  i was eyeing the crispy catfish with mango salad but decided to take on his suggestion.  one thing i was certain of, i was going to order the kaeng deng kha moo or crispy pata, simply because it was sinfully oily and fatty and it was a cheat day.  and i missed it so much.  i also ordered pla som rod or the crispy tilapia because we needed a seafood dish, to lessen the guilt of the previous order, even if it was also deep fried.  instead of individual servings of rice, kuya mentioned the catfish flakes fried rice and since i wanted something with catfish, this was a no brainer.  of course, a visit to a thai restaurant would not be complete without trying their version of pad thai.

as we waited for our orders to be served, a complimentary plate of crispy cracklings was brought to our table.  the family happily munched on this while i walked around the place and took some pictures.  and i noticed that the lunch crowd was starting to arrive.  good thing me made a reservation.

first to arrive were the spring rolls, six larger than bite size pieces, presented beautifully that i had to take a lot of pictures.  it was indeed fresh, and i had to grimace when i happened to bite upon a piece of cilantro - it's not one of my favorite herbs.  mom would have laughed at my expression if she was not busy slurping on her melon shake that she devoured in a few minutes.  but unfortunate incident with cilantro aside, i liked this slightly different take on the lumpiang sariwa because it was a lot spicier.  and i like that welcome crunch from the herbs and vegetables i get when i bite into a piece, just not that with the cilantro.

the tilapia dish was just...okay for me, it was a little sweet for my liking.  plus it was a while since i last had tilapia that i guess i outgrew the preference.  family loved it, though.  and props to the little garden of fried basil that covered the entire fish.

the crispy pata was...yummy.  sorry for lack of a better term but it was simply what every crispy pata should be.  i liked that the skin was fried to a crisp but it was not as tough that you would have a hard time chewing on it.  it was crispy, crunchy and the slightest chewy - on the good side.  the crisp meat part was also tender on the inside, despite the golden brown, toasted exterior.  they served this dish with a curry sauce on the side, again a little sweet.  but since the meat was seasoned just right, the sauce was not really necessary, in my opinion.  i was, kind of, missing the sourness from pinakurat at this moment to cut through that umay factor from all that fat.  by the way, serving was big.

the rice...was a meal by itself.  it could be eaten on its own with all that going on in that mountain of a serving, seriously it was huge.  you have to try it to know what i mean.  it was simply delicious.  thank you kuya for suggesting this.

because we wanted to leave room for dessert, we opted to have the pad thai for take out.  the kao neiw mamaung (really, these thai words are giving me a headache to spell) or the sticky rice with mango was simply that, sticky rice with mango.  the sticky rice was gelatinously soft and sweet while the yellow mango arranged like a rose on top was tart.  the princess and i loved pouring the coconut sauce placed on a tiny white pitcher placed on the side.  it resembled the taste of the sabaw of ginataan, on the thicker side.  a little pricey, but it was something worth trying.

their house blend iced tea was good, not that clear and sugary one you get from some restaurants.  but i suggest the tamarind shake.  the slightly sour taste will help cut through all that fatty taste, as well as the sweetness.

the pad thai, as well as the other leftovers that we had, was still good when reheated.  it had generous pieces of chicken and shrimps.  and i liked the way they toasted the scrambled egg, like it was a crispy, thick golden cloud on top of the noodles.  so far, this has to be my favorite take on the dish, even if it was a reheat.

all in all, a great lunch.  quite a challenge to get to the location because of the rough and narrow road.  it's no surprise why people flock to the place even if it is tucked away from the more popular side of the area.  food was great, meant for sharing (better if you come in a group so you can sample more dishes).  place was comfortable.  service was very commendable.

just a suggestion, try to make a reservation before coming here, to be sure.  there is bound to be a waitlist on weekends.
