the service usually sucks. the food is mediocre. the beer selection sucks. the value and atmosphere is just ok. the menu is weird in that i don't know what kind of restaurant serves bothsushiand flatbread. i don't know why this place is so popular because blue is leaps and bounds better than this place. no real reason to go here.

over-priced and poor service. every time i've been here, i have had extremely poor service. they have a great patio and it's a fun place to go for happy hour, but if you order anything but happy hour, the food and drinks are extremely over-priced for the quality and quantity. 2 avocado eggrolls for $10?! thesushiis also terrible. it shouldn't even be called sushi. it falls apart when you pick it up and has an off taste to it. the last time i was here it took 10 minutes just to get someone to come wipe down our table, because obviously our server thought he was "too good" to do it himself.

something for everyone. this place has something for everyone. it is far from just asushirestaurant. although they do have a large selection of sushi, this restaurant also has more variety than almost any restaurant i've been to. this place has a very personable service staff, and an amazing atmosphere, no matter if you're looking for the bar scene or a nice romantic restaurant. also, they have an amazing happy hour which is available twice a day, six days a week. their most expensive appetizer on their happy hour menu is $5, and many of their appetizers are only $3. it is no wonder that this place was voted best happy hour in the "best of omaha" for the 4th year in a row. it is definitely worth your time to check this place out.

the food here was good.sushiwas average to good. i enjoyed the chicken and fish entrees. i have nothing negative to say besides the service being a little slow. if your going out to relax and enjoy dinner then you shouldn't even notice. our waitress was nice and the atmosphere was a good mix of relaxing, family friendly and fun. the bar area keeps the fun going and their open air option in nice weather is great!

love kona grill. just here this past weekend. had a great meal. been awhile. had some saki that was great also. the best restaurant in village point.sushiis good. the best choice on the menu might be thesushisampler. main dishes like the macadamia chicken is a good choice and the pad thai noodles are great too. never had a bad meal here.

i ate here a few times back in 2005 or so. then i went a while without eating here and i recently stopped back in for dinner. i seem to remember it being better than it is now. perhaps its glory days are behind it.

food was decent. i tried their hawaiian ribeye which is listed on their menu as a signature (or favorite or whatever) item. it had a terrific flavor, but the meat itself was a bit chewy and, although ribeyes are typically heavily marbled, rather fatty. my wife sampled a couple of their kona rolls from theirsushimenu and was pleased with them. the food here has always been good. it's sort of an asian fusion kind of thing and they have several items that put an asian spin of what are typically american favorites.

service was not good. i couldn't tell if was because they were understaffed (seemed to be a lot of employees moving around) or if the staff they had were just that bad. several tables around us (with different waitpersons) were experience service delays too.

ambiance is off. i suppose it makes for a decent bar and happy hour experience, but for dinner it's just noisy and crowded and in a mostly bad sort of way.

at this price point i expect it to be better. they serve good food, but service could be greatly improved. it's a borderline "like" for me.

so-so. had several of the appetizers and all were pretty good. was with a large party and i am not asushifan. my hubby and i both ordered the filet, which was pretty pricy for a non steak house. i ordered mine medium, and it was well done when it cameout. hubby ordered med rare and it came out medium well. a pretty expensive mistake for the cooks to make. i was able to eat hubbys since it was close to what i wanted. he had to wait another 15 mins to get his. eveyone in the large group was about finished eating when his new steak came out. i realize mistakes happen. but to a $30+ piece of meat?? neither of the steaks had any seasoning and were quite bland. again i realize they arent known for their steak, but if you are going to charge that much for the cut, deliver a perfectly seasoned and cooked pice of meat.

wow....sushiwas abominable. majority of fish in rolls was straight from a can, service was terrible (including management), and gyoza were slimy with bland sauce. ordered happy hour bottle of sake, which was advertised at 375 ml, got a bottle half the size. told the manager who explained that it is what they have always given customers, and that we were the first to notice (because false advertising is okay as long as no one complains!). overall the worstsushii have experienced in an omaha restaurant, closer to day-old supermarket than true maki; go elsewhere.

they want to be known for sensational flavors in their modern american cuisine from a scratch kitchen. but kona is also known for their hugesushiand sashimi menu from traditional rolls to kona rolls. when you arrive you are greeted at the hostess area, then around the corner is the bar area. it is a big center bar lined with stools, televisions, tables but many people want to sit on the backside which is an indoor patio that also has televisions. the patio area is indoor but the huge windows open up, which is popular place to hang out and have a few cocktails like a sake bomb. the bar area has an awesome happy hour that gets crazy busy…if you're not there by 4 p.m. on friday is it very hard to find a table. the night we were there t

not great. there is much bettersushiin omaha. the restaurant tries to be everything to everybody and ends up being mediocre at best. the flatbread was the only thing at the table that got any kudos.

bad service and bad food. we went after happy hour thinking that it would be a little calmer but it wasn't. it wasn't our server's fault that it was busy but i do hold it against her that she didn't bother to ask us what we were eating after giving us our drinks. our order came out to us wrong but that isn't why we won't be back- we won't be back because for a place like this a simple burger should have tasted good. the meat tasted like it came from mcdonald's just juiced up to look like it was decent size and somehow there was a part of the outer perimeter that was pink when the rest of it was cooked o.o thesushiwas small and the taste wasn't worth the money they charged. maybe this place is only good for drinks during happy hour (that everyone seems to rave about) because that was the only thing that i enjoyed.
