we visited this food truck @ eq food truck jam. knafeh was our first and one of our only stops. i had heard of it. i wanted toexperienceit. i was intrigued. it was sweet yet salty, creme brûlée like, dessert but cheesy. it’s weird to explain but i want another one.

didn't think i'd get a chance to sample this (they are everywhere and long lines all the time), but they came to epping for the langston weekender.
we went at 3:30pm, so it was really empty. they still have the party vibe going on, and it was really fun listening and watching them.
the knafeh is cheesy, warm and custardy. very different with anything i've had before. we really liked the overallexperience:)

been here way too many times to count. they never fail to provide an enjoyableexperiencewhilst sampling a fine flavour of the middle east through their warm, sweet knafeh. it is served warm and tastes amazing. there’s always music playing and the atmosphere is very fun and welcoming. make sure you’re on the lookout for when they’re near you!

visiting knafeh is a foodexperiencethat i really recommend. there’s singing, there’s dancing, and there’s a single dish that is done very well. that’s right, they serve only one dish. this is actually a huge attraction to me. this is the essence of street food in my mind. where you get an outlet selling the one thing they’ve perfected. they don’t try or need to diversify and add more food to the menu as their dish is that good. i know that when street food originated a shop owner adding a second product to their menu came with many challenges, and therefore they focused on what they could supply and doing it well. but to see this replicated in australia is exciting and worth checking out as it needs to be very good food to survive.

knafeh is certainly one foodexperiencewhich you should have if you were living, working or studying in sydney. the team is friendly, funny and dancing with joy while i am trying their knafeh!

food wise, the knafehs are decent and tasted as similar as those which i tried when i was working in jerusalem a few years ago. so, make your way to knafeh and have an enjoyable weekend 😁

oh the bearded baker boys. they're cheeky. they're hot. and they dish up one hell of a knafeh.

knafeh has to be one of sydneys most fun food experiences. the food truck/container always has the tunes pumping, and the boys make sure the place is a party. they sing on the mic, dance on the tables and try and make everyone'sexperiencea great one.

the knafeh itself is of course spot on. a nice crispy top, under which lies a warm melting knafeh. you can also douse it in rose water for some extra sweetness.

if you haven't had the chance to visit yet then you are missing out. if only you could take one home... i'm not talking about the knafeh :p

we had a great time at their pop-up bakery in clyde. bit of a wait for our knafeh but we were entertained during the wait with singing and dancing - great atmosphere!

the knafeh itself was delicious with interesting textures and sweetness overall was not overwhelming. apart from the long lines, we enjoyed theexperienceand would try again!

the bearded bakers and their knafeh deserve nothing less than a 5. the location of the knafeh bakery often changes so make sure to have a look on their instagram.

it truly was a great experience. only wished they served more than knafeh. it's one of those things where you can't really write about, you just have toexperienceit for yourself. the bearded men are fun, flirty and full of charisma. the knafeh was delicious! i even got some to bring home with me.

my first ever 5.0 score. if i'd thought about what my perfect diningexperiencewould be i'm not sure i would have ever imagined it would involve dancing guys with beards. but last night all roads led to strathfiield, after the bearded bakers announced that they would be setting up shop there. replete with korean food goodness, we headed into the wilds of south strathfield, a distinctly unpreposessing looking industrial district. approaching a dereliict workshop, waves of music rolled out towards us (big tick on the middle eastern house music front). the bearded bakers have a container that they move around in, but this time they had brought their industrial strength oven to a disused workshop and set up business in there. making the knafeh is a chain process - one baker ladling it into the baking pans, another spraying it with a glaze and a third baker collecting it on the other side. the front of house bearded baker is armed with a microphone, which he uses to call out orders and charm the enthralled crowd. in between all of this, the glue that brings it all together, is fun laughter and dancing bakers. the vibe at knafeh is electric, a heady mix of mouth watering anticipation of the knafeh, excitement generated by the antics of the bakers, and that edge that comes from doing something completely different. our knafeh was gorgeous. this is a middle eastern confection that i have never tried before - a street food dessert from jerusalem made of sweet cheese and pistachios, drizzled with syrup (oh oh craving in the making). the family behind knafeh are palestinian christians, originally from yaffa, and the bearded bakers are an eclectic mix (christians, muslims, all baking together). this won't be for everyone but i found it a really powerful energising joyfulexperienceon so many levels. the bakers move about (see their instagram/facebook pages) for details.

knafeh jerusalem street food is well, this baked cheese dessertexperiencewith a rowdy fete/bazaar like feel and that pretty much sums out the knafehexperiencewhen we visited. grinning when we spotted the knafeh container all lit up with the jesus/dove artwork on the one side and the prose on the other. you’ll hear the knafeh container mobile before you see it, the music’s a-cranking, there’s hollering and a frenetic frission in the air. all this because the masses have descended (this time to addison road markets/community centre) to eat some baked cheese. we’re grinning. its fun, and vibrant and the perfect way to spend this somewhat brisk but not autumn’s evening. there’s fires in oil containers, that signature artwork and the story on the one side. you’ll note the whisk-y like lamps and their bold brand graphics on that back wall. its an attractive modern fitout in a container. families are gathered here tonight. the knafehexperienceis just that, them boys dance and play this little drum and its got a great vibe. we’ve seem videos of contemporay pop music playing but tonight, its middle easterny tunes. its entertaining when the groovin’s on. the “bearded sexy men” is a selling card as you’ll see lots of rave comments and fan attention when you see posts on social media. the energy. check out the video below.

when blessed with an amazing mother who cooks heaven sent dishes, you need to share it. talking about it doesn’t justify it, others need toexperienceit too. with that, the team behind bar biscotti and shisha bar & grill have brought a family secret to the streets of sydney for all of us to enjoy...
