in a nutshell: a seemingly crazy and simple idea of a dessert that's like a wider, shallower, tantalisingly savoury, cheesy creme brûlée with light soft crust! sold and served to you by good looking, beardedmen with lively personalities!

i literally bumped into the food truck during one of my rounds of the bay walk/run. and of course i stopped. you will too if you see this food truck!

a unique dining experience! the knafeh here is beautiful, with just the right amount of crunch to creaminess ratio, and thebeardedbakers are hilarious and genuine, making every customer feel welcome. definitely worth tracking them down on instagram/fb to find where they are located for the week and going for a night of laughs and delicious knafeh!

saw this knafeh all over my facebook newsfeed and i couldn’t help myself to try it when it was within my vicinity. when i arrived it was literally a party with the bakers playing music and singing along. queues were long and a long wait for the knafeh to be baked. families sat on milk crates as they enjoy this middle eastern dessert. very lively and upbeat atmosphere. thebeardedmen looked as if they enjoyed doing this and give off happy vibes while they do their work.

they only serve some drink and knafeh. i just ordered knafeh take-away but the crust seemed to soften when i arrived home. i poured too much of the rosewater syrup on the knafeh so it was overly sweet, rookie mistake. apart from mine being too sweet, the dessert was absolutely fabulous. the milk goodness goes well with the rosewater syrup, however the crust was soft. i would recommend eating it on the venue then it might have a crispy crust. note it changes place every week and you will need to follow them.

✔️ absolutely incredible atmosphere. thebeardedbakers are the highlight, so funny and entertaining. and coming from a lebanese background, i can easily say that this was definitely up there with the best knafeh i've had!!! for people who don't know what knafeh is, it's a middle eastern dessert similar to a sweet custard with a crispy surface, served hot & with syrup. i personally drench mine in syrup, but i would recommend not to if you don't like too much sugar - knafeh is sweet already!

❌ a bit more sweet than authentic cheese knafeh in lebanon (not necessarily a bad thing for sugar freaks like me) the line is never shorter than a 30 minute wait, but i guess you can expect that with such a popular business, and this isn't a big deal anyway because i find that the entertainment distracts you anyway!

one of the best food experiences i have ever had. entertaining staff (singing and dancing, i guess a pre-requisite to the job) and quality food to boast.only downside to the singing and dancing part, the cue gets really long. yet, you just can't help but smile as thesebeardedbakers exude passion in what they are doing. they can get the crowd going. one of the things that stood out for me was the interior of their food truck explained where the food originated.

oh thebeardedbaker boys. they're cheeky. they're hot. and they dish up one hell of a knafeh.

knafeh has to be one of sydneys most fun food experiences. the food truck/container always has the tunes pumping, and the boys make sure the place is a party. they sing on the mic, dance on the tables and try and make everyone's experience a great one.

the knafeh itself is of course spot on. a nice crispy top, under which lies a warm melting knafeh. you can also douse it in rose water for some extra sweetness.

if you haven't had the chance to visit yet then you are missing out. if only you could take one home... i'm not talking about the knafeh :p

heard of knafeh? if you haven't you don't know what you're missing out on. they serve a sugary sweet creamy dessert that is served hot and is simply delicious. but there's more to it than just the food. thebeardedbakers at knafeh basically put on dessert and a show for you from their food truck. there's music, singing and a lot of humour too.

i had heard some glowing reviews of knafeh, but it was actually way too sweet for my palate. i can completely understand why it's so popular though, because the vibe and performance value are fantastic with thebeardedbakers singing and dancing the night away.

the upbeat music and irresistible charm of thebeardedblokes at the knafeh food truck attracts young and old alike. on this sunny saturday morning, they were delighting the early morning orange blossom festival goers.

then there's the knafeh. omg, where have you been all my life? sweet, creamy and slightly cheesy, with a crunchy top, crushed pistachios and drizzle of sweet sugar syrup, life is that much sweeter after experiencing this dessert. you also can't help but chuckle at the written messages they deliver with your knafeh as they call you up by name to collect your freshly made dessert. thanks for the food love!

we visited this cool shipping container pop up in alexandria for dessert after eating at the potting shed in the grounds of alexandria complex.
we were quickly drawn in by the music and gathering crowd. we walk into the abanoned space which was once the salt meat cheese store. there were a bunch of people sitting on milk crates enjoying their middle eastern street food and having a good time watchingbeardedmen behind the counter of this pop up enjoying themselves.
the menu is simple serving knafeh(a middle eastern dessert), moroccan tea and water.
the service is fun and personalised taking your name when you order and when your knafeh (i would describe as a creme brulee/ pudding/ porridge hybrid) is ready the guys have fun with it, cracking jokes.
the knafeh is sweet with a creamy porridge like texture and has a caramelised top sprinkled with a pistachio crumb.
this place is entertaining, a good dessert option and a fun dining experience.

i frequent the knafeh truck locations and have visited the dancingbeardedbakers twice at doonside and once at rydalmere. i can't rate them high enough. service is quite fast and even on a cold night, you don't mind the wait. the bakers can keep you entertained for hours. i'm a people watcher so see the smiles on everyone's faces is a bonus. the energy is electric. as for the desserts themselves, i can't explain how delicious it is. it's like a custard type porridge topped with delicious syrup and flakes (like cornflakes). i've downed two servings in one sitting before. #nojudging

finally tracked thembeardedbakers to bankstown 😊 with the traditional music blaring from the speakers, it's hard not be attracted to it. you'll most likely walk into the lot with a bunch ofbeardedmen dancing and singing to the song, but that's the appeal. it's not hard to decide what you want from the menu, as there is only one choice. try to opt for the dine-in, that way you'll get the taste of the warm, freshly made knafeh. so, if you want a simple dessert with a middle eastern party atmosphere, then make your way down 👍

absolutely love thesebeardedbakers and their delicious knafeh! the only downside is sometimes the wait is quite long but you tend to be rewarded at the end with delicious gooey cheese with syrup and pistachios sprinkled on top. they sometimes have the booza ice cream and its very soft. costs you around $8 a for a serving of knafeh. the dancing and singing is complimentary and all part of the show.
