delicious and perfect in everyway. i'm not sure what the negative reviews are going on about. this place has consistently provided me with excellent service. i'm sure there have just been a few off days for the restaurant, but who doesn't have a bad day every now and then?
i've been coming to this family run restaurant for years now and i love it. i've taken my indian parents here; people that are very picky eaters, and they absolutely loved it. even when i'm not around they stop buy to grab a bite.

the servers are all really nice, the chefs are amazing and the food is fresh, good quality andserviceis quick. one of their male waiters is really cute too. ;)

for their dishes, i personally recommend the deep fried squid, crab, lobsters, duck and kai lan! i've never personally tried their dim sum but all my friends tell me it is amazing.

like i said, i have never had a problem at this place. the food is fantastic and for the price you're getting it at, it's practically a steal.

10/10 will go again!

went for dim sum on mother's day and i knew it was going to be super busy so we were patient throughout our experience. after being seated we waited well over 15 mins just to be greeted and given a menu and tea. server was very kind and accommodating with my cousin's shrimp allergy and offered us options for soup. food took longer than expected but again, we understood that it was a busy day. the dim sum however took exceptionally long. others who had ordered dim sum after us were getting their food first. it was such a long wait that i still had one more dish that never came so i had it removed from the bill. lastly, i hadn't noticed a sign that they put up at the entrance for mother's day saying it was cash only. any other day i know they accept cards since this restaurant is our go-to place for special occasions. they said that their machine was down today. i apologized for not knowing it was cash only. they said that they would take down my card information and process it but i was fully prepared to drive a couple of blocks to withdraw money if need be. the lady scolded me for not reading the sign and took my credit card information. she didn't give me a receipt, didn't ask me to sign anything and she didn't ask how much i wanted charged. not even a thank you at the end. i understand that she was busy but perhaps they need to develop a more efficient way of providing betterserviceto guests during busy days (more staff, specific roles to workers, etc.) after having this unpleasant experience, i will be watching my bank statements closely and will think twice about visiting this restaurant again.

i can honestly say this place has gone completely down hill even with the new owners. i ordered fried rice which is bland. and the spicy deep fried fish (which was my favourite) came soggy. like soggy soggy. super gross. last time i ever go to this over priced restaurant for bland soggy food. customerserviceis bad as well

dim sum is not the original chinese flavour. portion and price is expensive. the boss lady or owner has no customerserviceskills comparing to the lady waitress there who was super nice and friendly. they posted online the menu didn't match the menu they had in the restaurant therefore when we ordered over the phone the boss lady took down the wrong number ordered and blamed it was our fault. thanks to the waitress for resolving the issue with a happy attitude. the boss lady face was very bitchy and rude. first time will be our last!! we are new to the area and wanting to find a good dim sum place. this is a no go back.

ate a 10 course meal here. food is decent, dim sum is better. although we did enjoy the peking duck.serviceis poor and restaurant is small, especially for large parties.

no steamed rice and rude services. ok - i never write reviews but the terribleservicehere was worth my time! so i'm sitting here with my family right now waiting for some white steamed rice. first of all, what chinese restaurant doesn't have steamed rice? strange, i know. they first offered two bowls of rice they had available but the rice was cold - obviously old rice that they used to make fried rice. we said we would wait for some rice to be made. and so we sat as they brought out our dishes and no rice. our dishes getting colder by the minute.....

not once did they come by to let us know how much longer the steamed rice would take. i had to follow up twice myself and each time i was told it was almost ready. never was there an apology.

omg, 30 mins later our rice has finally arrived (although not fully cooked)- our dishes are cold now. not even an offer to provide us with a discount or anything.

so basically, no tip and i will never ever be back - too bad b/c even though the food was ok theservicewas the most horrendous i've ever experienced

i love this place!. i come here almost every week with my fiancé. the food is always fresh and very delicious. our favourites are the wonton soup, deep fried spicy squid, ma pao (sp?) tofu pea tips and fried rice. occasionally, we would order some dim sum which is also very good.
tip:
try not to come here on the early lunch hour on the weekend because you will get little to noserviceat all. it's jammed packed.

raw food. i ordered dim sum to go. i was very excited to eat it when i got home. i feed the children before eating myself and what i found when i bite into the shui mai shock the heck out of me. it was raw inside, i cut the rest in half and all of it is the same. what really upset me is my children ate half of the order already. beef ribs in black bean is the same as well. when i called the restaurant to complained all they said is to bring it back and they will replace it! if i can't drive back there, sorry but thanks for calling! i will never go back to this place again. customerserviceand food quality is close to nonexistent .

they have really stepped up their dim sum game since closing and relocating to 104th! i love their variety of dishes and their claypot with beef brisket and rice noodles is delicious.serviceis always great and the owner always stops by every table to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves! yes, they can get busy and the kitchen can be slow when it's a full house, but it's worth the wait for the only decent dim sum place in surrey!

** october 2018 update **

there has been an ownership change and there is a new chef. we ordered some chow mein, beef and broccoli, spicy fried squid and sweet and sour chicken and it wasn’t as good as the previous chef’s. it’s just okay. i will give it another try and try the dim sum too and further update my review.

** march 2019 update **
tried the dim sum here after the ownership change. it’s pretty good but not as much selection as the previous owner/chef. i miss the fried shrimp bean curd 😕

-the restaurant is accessible by cars heading east or west on 104 which was good cause we were coming from guildford mall and thought we had to make a detour

-lighting is too bright and i'm not particularly fond of the disposable plastic tablecloths
disliked:
-servers are not friendly or properly trained
-plates were not changed unless we asked and when we asked, they only exchanged the plate of the person who asked
-the dining area is strangely divided by a long wall to make a party room. i would feel weird about having a party in their party room seeing as how it is narrow and long (4-5 large tables all in one row)
would i come back:
-yes. hopefully theserviceimproves but in the meantime, the food is tasty enough to have us come back

update:
-came back on a thursday for a small get together. food was very bland. big difference from the meal we ate the previous weekend. head chef's day off perhaps?

we'll be back again and again and again. we're so glad this wonderful place is back! the restaurant wasn't officially open yet, but it was already almost full of diners. we went for dim sum. although the dim sum menu isn't extensive, there's lots to choose from in their reasonably priced menu anyway, and "off-the-menu" things are offered by the waitress. in the regular menu for instance, a must try is the salted spicy squid. it was perfectly cooked, tender pieces in a very light batter crowned with tiny garlic and jalapeno pepper pieces. the har gow and sui mai are very big! they are three bite pieces, not two, and like the squid, perfectly tender and they must be cooked to order. they are so fresh-tasting. they do not have that rubbery cooked from frozen taste that some other places have.servicewas very attentive and friendly. we also tried for the first time their fried tofu, which is a new favorite. we are looking forward to going back and trying the regular menu.

my husband and i have been waiting and wishing for a good chinese restaurant to open in surrey. thank goodness - the wait is over!! we were incredibly impressed by the quality of food, selection, andservicefrom king do. the dim sum was fresh and delicious...definitely not the frozen type that some restaurants serve. theservicewas unlike any other chinese restaurant we've ever been to (and being chinese, i have been to a lot...). not a word of a lie when i say that the waitress came by to check on us and the quality of the food at least 4 times. as soon as our water was low, someone was there to fill us up immediately. i would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone and i really look forward to going back to try their dinner menu.
