delicious and perfect in everyway. i'm not sure what the negative reviews are going on about. this place has consistently provided me with excellent service. i'm sure there have just been a few off days for the restaurant, but who doesn't have a bad day every now and then?
i've been coming to this family run restaurant for years now and i love it. i've taken my indian parents here; people that are very picky eaters, and they absolutely loved it. even when i'm not around they stop buy to grab a bite.

the servers are all really nice, the chefs are amazing and thefoodis fresh, good quality and service is quick. one of their male waiters is really cute too. ;)

for their dishes, i personally recommend the deep fried squid, crab, lobsters, duck and kai lan! i've never personally tried their dim sum but all my friends tell me it is amazing.

like i said, i have never had a problem at this place. thefoodis fantastic and for the price you're getting it at, it's practically a steal.

10/10 will go again!

went for dim sum on mother's day and i knew it was going to be super busy so we were patient throughout our experience. after being seated we waited well over 15 mins just to be greeted and given a menu and tea. server was very kind and accommodating with my cousin's shrimp allergy and offered us options for soup.foodtook longer than expected but again, we understood that it was a busy day. the dim sum however took exceptionally long. others who had ordered dim sum after us were getting theirfoodfirst. it was such a long wait that i still had one more dish that never came so i had it removed from the bill. lastly, i hadn't noticed a sign that they put up at the entrance for mother's day saying it was cash only. any other day i know they accept cards since this restaurant is our go-to place for special occasions. they said that their machine was down today. i apologized for not knowing it was cash only. they said that they would take down my card information and process it but i was fully prepared to drive a couple of blocks to withdraw money if need be. the lady scolded me for not reading the sign and took my credit card information. she didn't give me a receipt, didn't ask me to sign anything and she didn't ask how much i wanted charged. not even a thank you at the end. i understand that she was busy but perhaps they need to develop a more efficient way of providing better service to guests during busy days (more staff, specific roles to workers, etc.) after having this unpleasant experience, i will be watching my bank statements closely and will think twice about visiting this restaurant again.

king do seafood restaurant is located on 104the ave surrey. the location is a little bit far away from the skytrain station. we've been this place at the beginning of the july. by accident, i found this restaurant. we ordered 2 courses beijing duck and special combo for dinner. the beijing duck was over cooked, which was very dry. the special combo was a very great deal. only $10, you can a large plate of food. thefoodtaste was decent. large portion with a cheaper price. the servers are friendly too. we were excited to come back again in the future.

ate a 10 course meal here.foodis decent, dim sum is better. although we did enjoy the peking duck. service is poor and restaurant is small, especially for large parties.

so i orderfoodfor delivery and they tell me i have to wait and they will call me, cause the delivery driver is not there yet... what kind of restaurant is that.....so delivery is gonna long...so don't offer delivery....

pain in the bun to order delivery warning, order must be $ for delivery. thefoodis ok, but it's not really worth the long wait. plenty of competition to worry about this place.

my husband and i have been looking for a good chinese restaurant for the past five years, and we finally found a place worth going back to. we were pleasantly surprised with thefoodand the service, granted the location of the place. authentic chinesefoodthat is the best i've ever had so far. give it a try, you won't regret it :)

no steamed rice and rude services. ok - i never write reviews but the terrible service here was worth my time! so i'm sitting here with my family right now waiting for some white steamed rice. first of all, what chinese restaurant doesn't have steamed rice? strange, i know. they first offered two bowls of rice they had available but the rice was cold - obviously old rice that they used to make fried rice. we said we would wait for some rice to be made. and so we sat as they brought out our dishes and no rice. our dishes getting colder by the minute.....

not once did they come by to let us know how much longer the steamed rice would take. i had to follow up twice myself and each time i was told it was almost ready. never was there an apology.

omg, 30 mins later our rice has finally arrived (although not fully cooked)- our dishes are cold now. not even an offer to provide us with a discount or anything.

so basically, no tip and i will never ever be back - too bad b/c even though thefoodwas ok the service was the most horrendous i've ever experienced

i love this place!. i come here almost every week with my fiancé. thefoodis always fresh and very delicious. our favourites are the wonton soup, deep fried spicy squid, ma pao (sp?) tofu pea tips and fried rice. occasionally, we would order some dim sum which is also very good.
tip:
try not to come here on the early lunch hour on the weekend because you will get little to no service at all. it's jammed packed.

raw food. i ordered dim sum to go. i was very excited to eat it when i got home. i feed the children before eating myself and what i found when i bite into the shui mai shock the heck out of me. it was raw inside, i cut the rest in half and all of it is the same. what really upset me is my children ate half of the order already. beef ribs in black bean is the same as well. when i called the restaurant to complained all they said is to bring it back and they will replace it! if i can't drive back there, sorry but thanks for calling! i will never go back to this place again. customer service andfoodquality is close to nonexistent .

we try harder. have been to the king do at least ten times and have enjoyed the food. the restaurant is relatively small and space is broken up. the lady that meets and seats customers is very charming and helpful but the waitresses have limited english skills and often get orders wrong or don't understand what is asked for. thefoodis definitely exceptional but there is a limited selection of dim sum items.so most meals are a combination of full and dim sum size portions. the menus are poorly organized and difficult to follow,e.g. the picture menu does not name the dishes shown. i ordered what i thought was beef and broccoli and got pea greens which turned out to be very good. i believe that the kitchen facilities are inadequate to handle the demands of a fully seated clientele. a multi course meal takes a long time to be served and arrives in random order. the spring rolls could come first or last and greens could come at anytime. overall, because of the delicious and well preparedfoodi rate the restaurant highly and will return often.

delicious!. this is my go to local restaurant for dim sum. they serve it all day long, unlike certain places that serve it solely in the early afternoon. the staff are great, thefoodis fantastic; you can't go wrong. try ordering the deep fried spicy squid, seafood dumplings and shrimp rice rolls. they also make the best hot and sour soup that i have ever tasted. go!

thefoodand dim sum are pretty good. i was really excited when i found this place as it was a good dim sum alternative. however, there is one fatal flaw with this restaurant...slowfoodprep. we went there on 3 occasions for dim sum...all during the weekend around 11-12pm. contrary to what others say, there are no dim sum carts. all thefoodare cooked to order. it is fine when the restaurant is not busy but weekend mornings tend to be prime time for dim sum. our first dish came out at about the 30 min mark. one hour into the dinner, half of our order still has not cone out. this happened on all 3 occasions so i finally give up.foodis good but i cant be waiting one hour for the food...its dim sum for goodness sake. be warned.
