this place doesn't need a review. it's already so famous that you need to wait for a table for at least half an hour even at 8'o clock in the morning.

hot platter includes sausage, bacon, salami, ham and pouched egg. if you choose pork then it will feel a bit oily because of roasted pork fat but it's once a time experience and will fill you up for a few hours for sure. their simple bread and butter tastes amazing. pork hot dog is unlike anywhere else, here minced meat is used in place of sausage. hot chocolate is very mild.

darjeeling is my favorite summer getaway and it's never truly complete without a visit to glenary's and keventers!

glenary's is a three storied eatery located at chauk bazaar, darjeeling. there is a beautiful cafe cum bakery in the basement and ground floor. the first floor consists of a luxurious dining area that has both indoor and outdoor seating.

i have visited this place many times and of the many things i've tried my favorite are-

1. meat platter---- recommended! when at keventers one has to try their meat platters, available in both chicken in pork variants. the platters consist of fair quantities of sausages, ham, bacon, salami and sunny side up. i love their bacon and ham, the sausages are a bit chewy. their meat platters come for rs.280 which is much cheaper than what you get in kolkata, so do try it here.

2. bacon burger---- generous quantity of perfectly crisped bacon stuffed in a bun... simple yet delicious! add some ketchup to it and enjoy❤️

3. cheese sandwich- this wasn't really a sandwich; they put sliced processed cheese, slices of cucumber and tomatoes in a hotdog buns. it didn't taste that good.

price- rs.70

4. cappuccino- not the best i've had.

5. butter toast

6. chocolate shake- it was more like chocolate milk and they didn't even dissolve the sugar properly. not recommended!

cost for two: rs.300-400

this place is more about ecstatic view and heritage than it is about food. many well known movies like kanchenjunga by satyajit ray was filmed here. the staff is very courteous and serve promptly.

this place is etched as a part of my memories of darjeeling and i can't wait to go back and indulge in more of this amazing food. 💞

probably the worst place i have been to or ever will. totally living on the name and fame. the service is so poor. the food is average. nothing to hype about. the staffs are extremely rude and arrogant. not worth a visit to be very honest.

service is a little slow. but the pork platter is very good. enough for 2. many chicken platters are also available. their softy icecreams are the best, available in 3 flavours, chocolate, vanilla and mixed. the hot chocolate is ok, tasted a little like bournvita. a must visit when you are in darjeeling.

keventers, one of the famous restaurant names very common with the tourists visiting darjeeling. from many years back had heard about keventers so much that this time we decided to visit here. although i had heard from some of my friends that the old keventers is no more and the service and food quality has degraded now.
we had visited in the morning time and the 1st floor sitting deck is beautifully decorated. it has a beautiful view of the surroundings. the english breakfast has always been famous here. we ordered cold coffee and smoked chicken sausages. both the items were well prepared though not excellent.
but the main problem was that we had to wait for almost an hour for our food to come!! the staff came to take the order almost half an hour after we were seated at the table. i had to go 3 times to follow up with our order. not sure why the table service was so much bad.. and this needs considerable improvement to keep up to its name!!
hopefully one day keventers will be like the old famous one serving excellent food with very good service :-)

this is the most popular breakfast zone in darjeeling famous for their meat platters. i love their pork platter which includes ham, bacon, sausages, salami and poached eggs.

i always have this whenever i'm at darjeeling. the platter is amazing and is good enough for 2-3 people. the meats are very well cooked and a cold coffee is the best to pair with the pork platter.

this place is breakfast paradise. serving mouth watering continental treats, this place will make you want to stay. with breathtaking view of the himalayas on one side and the darjeeling town on the other, this place is a foodie & traveler’s delight. the decor is open & bright with roof top setting. we ordered hot chocolate, pork and chicken full platter one serving each, bacon burger, beef burger and french fries. food is served piping hot with standard wait time post order. the pocket pinch is average and affordable.

lovely place for hagout.... its a perfect place for brkfst with friends.... great experience... highly recommended 👌👍

standing just at the junction of mall road with a very simple interior and a nice rooftop seating arrangement this place didn't disappoint my tongue. with a bit a luck u can enjoy their famous platter with a grt view of the mighty kanchenjunga sipping your hot chocolate.

a must visit.

had one of the worst experiences in terms of hospitality. in spite of waiting for long, we couldn’t get our order placed. we had to leave the place disappointed at the end. the place is nothing but running coz of nostalgia and brand name. no such lucrative food option available too. overrated.

we have been to keventer's on our trip to darjeeling. after standing in the queue for more than an hour, we finally got a seat. they have both indoor and outdoor seating and you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the mountains while having breakfast ! 💓

we tried darjeeling tea , cheese hotdog , cheese sandwich , pork platter and hot chocolate. the pork platter was amazing !! quantity wise , it is perfect for two people and quality wise it was delicious !! 💓

kev's has it’s own nostalgia. get the view from it's open terrace while sipping hot chocolate gives you a special feeling. pork platter was really good.

everything about this place is top notch. food, ambiance,taste just everything. a must visit for brunch in darjeeling. the hot chocolate was just amazing and the chicken platter was divine. in love with this place. only one drawback is that the service time is too long. bt the food quality compensates it🤤

food quality was also good.we ordered pork platter and hot chocolate ( must try).
2.kunga: ambience ok, little cosy. food was awesome. highly recommended.food we tried : pork momo ( best momo i have ever had ), glass noodles, mixed fried rice without beef and chilli pork.
i highly recommend

this place ticks all the right boxes! gorgeous view of mt. kanchenjungha on one side as the fog sets in, sipping hot chocolate or coffee - this is not a hotspot for nothing.
