very pathetic service, rude staff, served cold food.
this place is just hyped due to the movie 'barfi'.
tea, coffee and shakes are good enough .

if you're in darjeeling then your itinerary is incomplete without having breakfast in keventers open terrace. their bacon platter is famous and i love their chocolate shakes and hot chocolate. lately i felt their food quality has slightly deteriorated, the bacon was too salty and oily. however, since it is a place with so much memories attached, i hope they will fix it and bring it back to its former glory.

being a feluda fan we had to visit the place. the location was great. the view from the rooftop was awesome. we ordered ham fried with egg poach and a cup of coffee and they were good. only drawback which we had felt was that the waiters were not that friendly at all.

been there a couple of times.. the food is awesome however service is not so good.. if you are going there during your vacation at darjeeling, you must sit in the balcony.. the barfi feeling😂😂
go for there pork dishes!

bit hyped. english breakfast, no doubt stands above any other. portion size for a single person is bit too much. a couple can first order just one plate of sausage and eggs. sausages are deep fried thus it becomes way too heavy. chicken salami cheese sandwich is worth trying. i loved it. best thing about this place is the open roof area and the coffee.

one of my favorites in darj! if you're a meat lover, do not miss out on this one. everything we tried at kev's was lovely. that bacon sandwich was delicious, so was the meat platter, with bacon, ham, sausages and fried eggs. the bacon burger was good too. pair it with a cold coffee and enjoy the view.

overall rating: 4/5

ambience: a scenic view of mt. kanchanzengha on a clear day is not be possible from any restaurant. we sat on a open roof top and the famous clock tower is on back side and the famous mountain is on the other. it's been the ultimate.

food: we ordered from their breakfast platter. bacon sausage is their speciality. you can try anything. food is average. we also ordered their cold chocolate.

behavior: staffs are polite and well behaved.

vfm: a bit on costlier side. 525 for all those plus a bottle of water.

first of all, i would say this place is highly overrated. whoever heard that i am visiting darjeeling, enforced to visit keventers. but i didn't find anything overwhelming. we missed the breakfast slot, so we ordered tea, hot chocolate, chicken sausage and chicken lollypop. all of the item other than hot chocolate was good, but nothing extra ordinary. but the hot chocolate was horrible, it's simply bournvita with milk. could not find a pinch of chocolate in it, total waste of money. to the foodies i would suggest to try some new places like 'nankings' than to stick to the glory of the history.

despite hailing from siliguri, and having been to darjeeling several times, i visited this legendary place for the 1st time only back in feb 2017. obviously keventer’s isn’t your sophisticated high end breakfast place but it’s full of tales and nostalgia. if you’re visiting darjeeling, breakfast at keventer’s sitting in their rooftop with the sun shining down on you is a must. we were a group of 11 people and had almost all their breakfast platters. the sausage bacon ham and eggs fried was the best. also loved their hot chocolate.

one of the oldest cafeteria....

ambience was nice... but the staffs were not cooperative...

food was good..... loved the hot chocolate drink...

prices were on the higher side though...

all in all a great experience...
