the view from this place is really pretty but when we talk about the food, i'd say that this place is overrated. the food and beverage were okay. however, this place is not very costly so the food we get at that amount is at par.

overhyped in my opinion. staff does not care about customers (you can wait forever to be seated or be given a time estimate for a table), food was quite average (had ordered a sandwich). even the staff behind the ground floor counter selling retail items like tea bothered least about the customers.

clearly a place whose fame has gone to the staff's heads.

nothing i say here will be enough to justify the 100+ years legacy of keventer's. be it the typical non veg delicacy or the staggering view from the restaurant balcony, this restaurant is unmatched when it comes to a complete breakfast experience. no wonderful we had to wait 30mins in queue to enter the restaurant. darjeeling trip will forever be incomplete without a treat at keventer's.

another iconic eatery of darjeeling and a must visit place for breakfast. was excited to visit this place after seeing a review of this place on a popular youtube food web series called foodka. also i was quite dissapointed with the pe backed , exorbitantly priced namesakes called keventers found in most shopping malls in the metros , so was looking forward to the breakfast in the original keventers. the pork sausages, sunny side up eggs with bacon and chocolate milkshake were all remarkable and hit the spot. another good dish was the pork hot dog which is different from a regular hot dog as it has no sausage but was indeed scrumptious. bit of a let down was the chicken cutlet which is also used as a pattice in the hamburger as it was quite dry and overdone. but otherwise a marvellous experience in keventers at darjeeling

my dooars and darjeeling trip ended with a breakfast at the iconic keventer's and the magnificent view of kanchenjunga!

i visited here with few of my friends on 31st dec. morning and what an end to the year. we ordered their well known hot coffee, pork platter, chicken platter and the hot chocolate. the portion and taste of the food were too good.

visited the place for my birthday breakfast..ordered their authentic and legendary pork platter, chicken platter and hot chocolate.the entire meal served was completely glitchless, keeping no rooms for complaints..the newly constructed right wing of the restaurant, offers a sparkling clear view of the majestic kachenjunga's(on a clear sunny cloudless sky),being the host of your meal throughout!
p.s:each platter of meat consists of about 500gm of flesh,😉🤪😛which is kinda a deal and heavy!

recently visited keventer's, darjeeling.
it's a must-visit place in darjeeling if you are a food lover. the place is famous for its outstanding breakfast and brunch.

in frame:
1.full chicken platter contains chicken sausage salami meatloaf & eggs
2. pork ham sandwich
3. pork bacon burger.
4. darjeeling tea & hot chocolate.

the taste of every item was outstanding especially the hot chocolate was out of the world.

the chicken/prok platter and the hot chocolate is a must-try item here.

pocket pinch: rs. 1100/- for 4 of us.

best spot for dining with a view.

but better skip the breakfast rush to avoid long queues.

we tried the chicken salami burger & chicken meatloaf sandwich. along with rose shake & the hyped hot chocolate.

my recommendation, skip the hot chocolate. its not worth the hype or price. better try the shakes instead.

okay so 50% of the reason why i wanted to go to darjeeling so badly was just to eat at keventer's haha

went there at around 10 in the morning and had to wait for around half an hour to get a table, it's always so full, especially in the breakfast hours. we firstly ordered the darjeeling tea, followed by two platters - one chicken, the other pork (1 platter is enough for two people). and lastly i got one chicken salami burger.

all i can say is that all that wait was truly worth it. the food here at keventer's is brilliant, and i truly mean it. the only thing which i didn't like was the service, otherwise can't wait to go back.

waiting time is too long for morning breakfast. your patience will be on test if you're visiting this place. have to wait for half an hour to get a table. then you have to wait and be on the mercy of the waiters for your order to be taken. waited another one hour to place order that too manager himself came to take order when we insisted. by that time all the interest to eat in this place was gone. food was of average quality. visit only if you have nothing to do the whole morning and ready to taste(read test) your patience.

keventer's was a truly disappointing experience, considering that i had heard so much about this place, from the old- timers and on several travel recommendations. the waiting time was an irritant, but it ended up whetting my appetite, as i thought the place must be really good, so the demand. the staff was extremely impolite, arrogant, and uncaring. we ordered a platter. pork sausages are by nature fatty, so as a rule, one must stay away from excessive frying, but these people deep fried it all the way. the same could be said about their ham, though the bacon was better. i then ordered a chicken sandwich, and this was completely tasteless. to add to all this, even a soft drink i ordered was warm! only the tea was good, as it is impossible to get that wrong when one is in darjeeling.

have tried:

✅chicken platter: consisting of chicken sausages, chicken salami, egg poaches : tastes heavenly!

✅hot chocolate: didn't like it honestly! heard about this a lot, but didn't live up to my expectations! the shake was very watery.

i visited this place a few days back but failed to impress me. it did not live up to its hype and my expectations. the view and seating area was nice, but the quantity and quality of food has deteriorated since my last visit. the platter tasted average. the staff's were unprofessional and too nagging. i have provided with the menu card as i did not find it anywhere before visiting the place.
